The day, neers carrying these sensational headlines—and filled with bounty posters—were distributed across the seas by newsbirds, reag every er of the world.
The Wover had officially annouhe new bounties on the Kukulkan family’s test geion. The staggering amounts left the global popuce stunned, struggling to believe what they were seeing.
“Good heavens—”
“Devil’s children?”
“2 billion berries? Is this some kind of joke?”
“They’re just four- or five-year-old kids, aren’t they?”
“Hmph! This is clearly the Wover retaliating against Totto Land.”
“Those kids’ bounties are nearly as high as the Celestial Dragons’ worth!”
“No wohey’re being called devil’s children—offspring of the Three-Eye Tribe, Giant Tribe, and Lunarian Tribe…”
“If these mixed-blood children grow up, they’ll be unimaginable monsters!”
“Not surprising, sidering their father, Fallen Angel El, is reized as the world’s stro creature!”
“With a father like that, his children were never going to be ordinary.”
…
Meanwhile, in the New World—on Pirate Isnd Haosu, also known as the Beehive, headquarters of the Rocks Pirates…
The isnd, infamous as a haven for pirates, teemed with wless individuals who thrived in the chaos. It was said that any Navy foolish enough to attack this pce would fa unending swarm of pirates, overwhelming them like a hive of bees.
The pirates were abuzz with excitement, flipping through neers and bounty posters. Discussions about the eous new bounties filled the air.
“Wahahahaha! What a ridiculous bunch!”
Inside a massive, extravagant throne room, Rocks D. Xebec—a wild and imposing figure—sat arrogantly on his gilded throne. With a grin of disdain, he spped the newly delivered neer and bounty posters. His booming ughter reverberated throughout the chamber:
“The world’s stro creature? Don’t you think that’s ying it on a bit thick?”
His face darkened as he examihe posters of the Kukulkan family’s children. “His bounty is double mine, and now this? And those so-called ‘Camities’ uhe Fallen Angel Pirate Crew? All of them have been bumped up to 3 billion berries like it’s nothing!
“Even these brats, still wet behind the ears, are worth 2 billion berries each. Damn it, their bounties are almost as high as mihis pisses me off!”
Rocks tightened his grip on the poster, his frustration evident. As one of the New World’s most notorious pirate lords, he had spent years g his way to poing so far as to unite several infamous pirates under his banner, creating a new Rocks Pirate Crew to rival the Fallen Angel Pirate Crew and Totto Land. Yet despite all his efforts, the Wover had set his bounty at just under 3 billion berries.
Here were a bunch of toddlers—barely old enough to speak—each with a bounty nearing his own. How could he swallow this insult?
“Hmph, even a bunch of snot-nosed kids have bounties higher than ours—how could that not leave a bad taste?”
A blond, white-bearded youth grinned as he spoke, his tone brimming with derision.
“Kehahahaha, never mind that Fallen Angel El for now…”
A wild-looking man with golden, lion-like hair and a cigar ched between his teeth growled. “Even that former ‘Camity’s bounty was about the same as mine, and now it’s shot up to 3 billion berries!”
As one of the Rocks Pirates’ top officers, Golden Lion Shiki was ner to ambition. But seeing the Fallen Angel Crew’s bounties skyrocket still g him. He uood why the Wover so much effort inteting them, but that also sent a clear message: the Wover viewed the Rocks Pirates as less of a threat than the Fallen Angel Crew. For a prideful man like Shiki, this was unfivable.
“Shiki, for once, you’re right.”
A t figure bck armor, sp a long beard, struck the floor with a massive sword. His face twisted in fury. “The Wover has made it clear they don’t take us seriously!”
“Oi~~~ Looks like those Navy fools have lost their sense of respect!”
Seated zily in a chair, a slender man with long hair took a rge gulp of rum. Captain John, another of the Rocks Pirates’ top officers, sneered. “Maybe it’s time we taught them a lesson!”
“Kehahaha! How about we just kill a couple of Celestial Dragons?”
Golden Lion Shiki’s eyes gleamed with malice as he cackled. Sihe Fallen Angel Crew had shattered the air of invincibility surrounding the Celestial Dragons, the so-called “desdants of the gods” no longer ahe same level of fear among pirates.
“If it just brings an admiral our way, what’s there to be afraid of?” Shiki’s gaze darkened. “The Rocks Pirates aren’t afraid of those worthless Navy fools, especially after their headquarters was blown to pieces by the Fallen Angel Crew. They don’t even dare gather a fleet for retaliation now.”
“Gurararara, that won’t work.”
Edward e, arms folded and eyes narrowed, spoke up. “Because of the Fallen Angel Crew’s bounties and their audacious kidnappings, those Celestial Dragons have stopped strutting around. They don’t ‘desd’ to the lower world like they used to.”
“I heard just a few days ago,” Captain John interrupted with a belch, his tone dripping with mockery, “a Celestial Dragon was t the West Blue, causing trouble wherever he went. Apparently, he even forced himself on a queen and her princess from some kingdom. But the moment he heard about Totto Land’s bounty oial Dragons, he ran baary Geoise with his tail between his legs!”
“Seems those cowardly Celestial Dragons are already terrified of El,” John added with a malicious grin.
“Captain Rocks, we ’t just sit bad let the world think we’re pushovers.”
A figure in gleaming silver armor, carrying a massive battle axe, smmed his on onto the table. The impact shattered it into splinters as Silver Axe stood, his voice quivering with rage.
“Exactly! We ’t let the Fallen Angel Crew hog all the glory while we do nothing!”
Wang Zhi, equally furious, added his voice to the growing cmor.
“Wahahaha! Of course not!”
Rocks rose to his feet, his body emanating an aura of dark malice. “As it happens, we’ve intercepted information about a Wover voy transp the Heavenly Tribute. Let’s go and take it for ourselves!”
He exuded absolute fidence, pletely uned about provoking the Wover. After all, Fallen Angel El had done far worse—killiial Dragons, bombing Navy headquarters, kidnapping dozens of Celestial Dragons, and nearly leveling Mary Geoise itself. If the Rocks Pirates couldn’t evehe Heavenly Tribute, wouldn’t that be disgraceful?
“The Heavenly Tribute?”
“Perfect timing!”
“Kehahaha, let’s do it!”
“Let’s show them what the Rocks Pirates are made of!”
