The sound of a familiar forest, the smell of rot and slightly damp moss invades my nose. Im here again. Sitting up I see the now split in half, fallen tree trunk I tumbled through before, below me is a rge dark red stained patch of corrupted dirt attached to a spray of similiar discoloration. Simir to how a ketchup bottle will spray its contents when squeezed too hard, it stops around 20 feet away from where I y.
I am in the same spot as before, the very same spot that I suffered the worst soul crushing pain I have ever experienced at the hands of the grotesque green beast. Putting both of my hands on the floor to raise myself I grimace at the horrible sticky sensation of the dirt, now standing I can observe this body. No scars, perfectly normal legs and abdomen, and my head is still attached as it should be. The only problem being the practically unusable clothing that clings to my body with thin threads.
Looking around for signs of any creatures I notice a faint smell of grease in the air, the trees and forest have slightly changed. The forest floor that was previously untouched appears to have suffered through a small stampede of humanoid feet, crouching down to further examine the footprints I notice each print has only 4 toes and is around the size of a childs foot.
"huh, so maybe this is some form of fantasy world or something.."
Standing up to follow the tracks I start to walk at a slow pace, stepping over any of the more jagged rocks sticking out of the dirt floor below me.
~ 15 minutes ter ~
I am now standing behind one of the trees surrounding a small clearing in the forested area, tall grass around 120cm's carpet the clearing. I see a small green bobbing head behind some of the grass stalks in the distance, near the center of the clearing is the first sign of life I have found in this world other than the previous behmoth that attacked me.
Crouching low into the grass I edge myself closer, being careful not to make any excessive noise I begin to get a clearer view on who is actually in front of me. A green child sized humanoid creature with a weirdly stretched jaw and nose, jagged looking teeth stick out of its mouth followed by a long tongue are occasionally shown when the creature randomly smiles at the stick grapsed into its hands.
Now crouching within a couple feet from the creature I suddenly realise how stupid what I am doing actually is, even if I pnned to fight it, im not only unarmed but also extremely physically unfit. Deciding to turn around and go a different way in order to find some other signs of.. lets say.. intelligent life.. I start to move away.
*SNAP*
...
Looking down at the now broken stick I just stepped onto a sigh escapes my mouth as I quickly turn back around to face the green creature from before.
*RaWK* *nerRoIdoI* *ToNGOI*
The creature starts to yell some form of broken dialect as it starts to run towards me, trying to swipe the long grass away for some breathing room I get ready to have the first fight of my life.
I realise now how genuinely unprepared I was for a fight to the death, the creature was feral. With no regard to its own potential injuries it swung widely towards me as its hands were stretched out, the jagged half chewed nails gleamed subtly in the sunlight as the wind flows past my shabby attempts at dodging.
*shluCK*
Grimacing as the nails on the creatures hands start to nick my forearms as I fight away its wild swings.
*thwomp* my fist practically bounces off of the creatures chest and I seem to suffer more pain that I actually managed to inflict "mmph?".
The twisting of my wrist causes a stabbing pain to shoot into my forearm and shoulder and I barely fight a full blown moan from escaping my mouth.
"TONGOIA" *fwoosh* *THOP*
Now on my back with the creature over the top of me I keep my arms blocking my vitals as I search for any type of opening to help survive in this situation.
*SLASH* *SLICE* *SLUNK*
Flesh is being ground away from my arms and exposed stomache as pain wrecks my rapidly crumbling composure, "ahhHHH MMMHH? AAWHH? FUCK OFF", blindly grabbing at the floor with my lightly dangling left arm I grasp a hard circur object and swing it towards the creature.
A loud crack followed by the sound of a body falling echoes off of the surrounding trees, as I struggle to gasp for air the burning sensation in my lungs and throat cause me to let out spluttered coughs. The blood leaking from my arms and lower abdomen shed the heat from my core, a slow chill begins to creep into my bones as I fight to keep my eyes open.
As my eyes begin to blur I notice a small peice of blue text slowly dissipating and re-appearing in the corner of my retina.
