- Monsters descended from the sky... rose from the sea... and... appeared out of thin air. says Eve

  The "thing" that is forming into the sky finally takes shape. The shape of a red sphere.

  - What... is going on? says Adam while looking at the red sphere in the sky

  - Is... that...really...a... monster? asks Seleph with a smile of disbelief

  Everyone on the first floor seems to have noticed the giant red sphere floating above the city in the sky and now, all the residents of the first floor are staring at the giant red sphere which has now started to bulge and move around

  - We... WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THE ORPHANAGE, ADAM, SELEPH! yells Eve while sweating and shaking profusely

  Adam turns around, grabs Seleph's and Eve's hand, and he starts running. They get out of the building they were in and run toward the orphanage

  - I DON'T UNDERSTAND! yells Seleph. I THOUGHT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR MONSTERS TO ENTER THE TOWER OR APPEAR IN THE TOWER!

  - IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO ENTER THE TOWER BUT I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THE TOWER PROTECTING THE INSIDE OF THE TOWER! answers Eve while sweating

  - HOW DOES THE TOWER EVEN WORK? asks Adam with frustration

  - NOBODY KNOWS! answers Eve

  The giant red sphere suddenly stops moving and all of a sudden starts spitting out multiple small red balls that fall upon the first floor. One of those parts falls in the direction that Adam, Seleph, and Eve are heading to, in other words, the orphanage

  *BOOOM*

  Explosions are happening everywhere the small red balls that came out of the giant red ball landed. When an explosion happens a few meters in front of them, the three kids freeze

  - No... way. says Adam with a smile of disbelief as he stops dead in his tracks

  Adam lets go of Seleph's and Eve's hands and runs toward the orphanage all by himself

  {Adam}

  " Again? Again? Am I going to lose my family again?"

  Tears start running down Adam's angry face and with a broken voice he says

  - Please! Please be safe! God! Please!

  Unfortunately, unlike what he prayed and begged for, the scene that welcomes Adam is the destroyed orphanage and the bodies of those who were within the orphanage. Finally, in front of the destruction, a strange red beast made of liquid is eating the body of the still-alive Mother Lyvie

  - Mo... Mother? says Adam with widened eyes and a trembling body

  Mother Lyvie moves her head slowly to look at Adam

  - A...dam? she says with a soft voice

  As she looks behind Adam, she sees Seleph and Eve arriving at the gruesome scene

  - T...ake Seleph... and Eve... and... run. she says while mustering every single bit of strength she has left in her dying body

  Mother Lyvie's eyes closed. When Adam sees her eyes closed, he falls knees first to the ground. Tears start pouring out from his eyes, his breath is shaky and an image appears in his mind. An image of a black-haired woman lying on a bed as she says those words to Adam

  - I am so sorry, Adam.

  Adam lets out of cry of anger and sadness which in turn makes the beast notice him. The beast turns around and looks at Adam. The odd beast didn't have any eyes. All it had was a mouth hiding terrifyingly sharp teeth. When the beast sees Adam, it opens its mouth and jumps at him. Adam grith his teeth draws his arm back, and swings at the beast

  - AAAAAAAAHHHHH! yells Adam as he swings his fist at the beast

  but before his punch reaches the odd beast, the beast splits into two. Behind the beast, was a man with grey and black short hair, one green eye while the other was blue. The man is wearing a white shirt, black shorts, a black cape on his shoulder that reaches his legs, and grey sandals. Finally, in his mouth, a cigarette that he is smoking

  - How the hell did a Blood Fiend appear within the tower? he says as he puts his katana back into its sheath

  When he finishes sheathing his katana, the katana along with the sheath disappears in a golden flame. The man grabs his cigarette, takes it out his mouth, and lets out some smoke as he looks at the gruesome scene behind him

  - Damn. he says as he puts back his cigarette into his mouth. That bastard really didn't go easy on them

  He puts his hands together and bows before the orphanage

  - Now. he says as he turns around to look at Adam. How should I deal with this suicidal kid?

  Seleph and Eve finally arrive and stop when they see the scene behind the man. The man's eyes widen when he sees the two others arrive. He scratches his head while clicking his tongue with an annoyed expression

  {The man}

  " Judging by the way they are dressed they probably belonged to the orphanage. If I knew, I wouldn't have let them see this, damn it."

  A bright light appears in his pocket. The man takes out a patch from his pocket and puts it on his neck.

  - How is it going? asks the man

  From the patch, a voice starts talking

  - There are about 10 Blood Fiend on the floor and their numbers keep growing because of the giant red sphere. says a female voice

  From the giant red sphere in the sky comes out another Blood Fiend that lands near what remains of the orphanage

  - I'll take care of the Blood Fiend that landed near me and after that I will destroy that ball in the sky. says the man

  - Got it. answers the female voice

  - Counting on you, Vice-Captain. says the voice of a child

  The man clicks on the patch and the light that the patch emits disappears

  - You kids head for the Stairs. says the man. It's currently the only place that is safe on the whole floor

  The kids stay stuck in place while staring at what remains from the orphanage

  - Damn it. says the man as he clicks on his patch again. I need someone here. Hurry.

  - Got it. answers a male voice. I am a minute away from you, Vice-Captain.

  - Good. he says. There are kids here, I need you to bring them to the Stairs

  - I am right here. says a young man on the roof of a house near the group

  - Take care of them. says the man as he turns around

  On the cape of the man, is a black lion

  - The... black... Lion order. says Adam

  The young man with blue hair and eyes lands in front of the kids. The young man is wearing a simple blue shirt and brown pants with black shoes and a small black cape, unlike the man that just left whose cape goes all the way down to his legs, the young man's cape stops at his back. On that cape, was a black lion. The young man picks up Eve and puts her on his shoulder and picks up Seleph. As for Adam, he gets up on his own with shaky legs

  - I... I can run. says Adam with a frown

  The young man looks at Adam with widened eyes, and then he smiles

  - Let's go then. says the young man with a smile

  The two start running and as they do, Eve passes out

  - Eve? says Adam in surprise. EVE!?

  - Calm down. says the young man. She just passed out. I don't blame her since what you guys' saw is pretty shocking

  - Adam. says Seleph with a weak voice

  Adam looks at Seleph

  - Did you see it? asks Seleph with rising anger. Did you see what was the thing that did this?

  Adam looks down

  - I... did. he answers with hesitation

  - What happened to it? Seleph asks

  - Someone killed it. answers Adam. I don't know who that man was, but he was the one who killed the monster that did it

  - The man you are talking about is the Vice-Captain of the Black Lion order, Ryoma Susano. says the young man with a smile. A true man among man

  - Ryoma... Susano. mumbles Adam. The Black Lion order

  The group stops as they finally reach the giant pillar that is connected to all the floors, the Stairs.

  - We're here. he says as he puts down Seleph. Let's go inside

  They walk toward the door of the Stairs and when they reach it, the door opens by itself. Once they get inside, the young man puts down Eve

  - I got to go now. he says with a smile. Stay safe

  He leaves the Stairs and when he does, the door closes behind him. Outside, we can see Ryoma jumping from one roof to another to finally jump up in the air with his katana raised and ready to cut down the giant red sphere. Just as he was about to swing his sword down, the giant red ball attacked Ryoma with a Blood Fiend

  - Is that all you can do? says Ryoma says as he immediately cuts the Blood Fiend in two

  The giant red sphere spits out hundreds of Blood Fiend, but Ryoma cuts them all down before they even manage to make a move. He finally reaches the red sphere but disappears only to reappear behind it. Ryoma's katana disappears once more in a golden flame and when it does, a multitude of slashes cuts down the sphere until there is nothing left of it

  - Amazing. says Adam after watching the whole scene unravel. If... If only I was that strong! I would've been able to protect Mother Lyvie and the others. I would've been able to get revenge myself!

  In a corner, Seleph is sitting down next to Eve. The people within the Stairs are all cheering while Seleph and Adam are crying

  - Damn it! says Adam with frustration and tears. Damn it

  This day would come to be known by everyone within the tower as the Blood Moon Day
