"Cole, wake up! Get up!"
Orion ducks as a huge monster runs at him. The running creature flips over his back, and once they hit the ground, Orion puts two in their head.
Goliath is choking on his blood, laughing and crying at the same time, as the water rises around his mouth.
Cole's eyes open.
He leans forward and stands.
"You okay?" Orion yells across the room.
Cole stares at him, gun in his hand.
"Cole, answer me."
Orion readies his rifle to turn it on his young friend, not knowing if he is still in there.
Cole stares at him, gun in his hand. A devilish smile comes over Cole's face.
He then raises the pistol and fires madly at the creature coming at Orion, saving him.
A tactical creature with a knife runs at Cole.
He kicks the fatigue wearing demon in the leg, breaking it, then slams his pistol across his face, breaking it as well.
Sobek stares up at Cole, water almost covering his eyes.
Cole points his pistol at him and empties his clip into him, then tosses the pistol into the water.
"You okay?" Orion yells.
"Yeah."
"We gotta go."
"No. You."
"Cole, it was lies. Whatever it was. Whatever he told you. It was lies!"
Cole smiles, almost relieved.
He remembers everything.
All of it.
Orion runs over to Cole.
"Come on. We gotta go."
"No. You. Orion. Look at me. He brought it all out. It's all my fault. All of it. My family. Their friends. All of it."

COLE, A MESSAGE FROM YOUR FATHER IS WAITING
"You don't know that!" Orion pleads, getting emotional. "You don't know!"
"I do know, bruh. I know everything. And yeah, I am older than you. The nuclear war. The pods. The environment. It's on me."
"Not you! You said your family!"
"I knew better. I sold everyone out. I betrayed everyone, Orion."
Cole sees Orion's cross hanging around his neck and touches it.
"Don't lose that. God let me forget. That was nice. Hopefully to do something right."
"This wasn't on you!" Orion screams. "It was everyone! The whole world!"
"Yeah," Cole lets him have that briefly, "but you don't know who I am. Or my legacy. It was a gift I forgot it all."
Suddenly, the floor explodes once more. Pods and metal and debris and water erupt.
A demon lord breaks forth, screaming into the sky and the flashing lights.
A smaller one...not the troll size. And not the one with the chained owners.
But horrible and spiked and vicious.
Orion pulls one of the rifles strapped to his back and tosses it to Cole.
Cole catches it and winks.
They both open fire on the beast, as more water gushes forward.
A few more fallen warriors break out of the pods.
Orion's display flashes at all the enemies around them, and starts displaying chances of survival.

Cole jumps up, gunning down the fallen in a huge sweep.
He doesn't duck nor budge. Just marches forward, gunning them down. Like he wants to die next.

Orion runs over towards the explosives, that are now almost submerged in water.
The demon lord slashes and begins tearing at the wall, causing more water to gush in.
Cole runs over and grabs Orion.
"Give me the trigger. Now."
Orion breaks into tears. He doesn't know why. He barely knew the kid.
"I got this," Cole says, smiling.
Orion reluctantly gives him the trigger and gives him a brief hug.
"Get those people to safety. I'm giving you a minute."
Orion nods and grabs the biggest bag he run with and turns and books it towards the exit.
A fallen warrior jumps out from a pod, but Orion has no time for it.
He punches as hard as he possibly can and his fist goes through the beast's chest, and then he tears it out.

Orion swings a rifle around his shoulder and looks back at Cole.
"Thanks for taking care of me!" Cole yells, smiling, then he ducks as the demon lord swings its mighty claw.
Orion has seen enough and pulls himself up into the light.

Orion pulls himself towards the light, looking like he is near a bridge or something.
The ground levels out and he begins to run, and another fallen monster, smaller but faster and completely naked, runs and swings its sharp, cat like claws.
Orion kicks the cat like demon creature away, as another one of its type jumps out and lands on his shoulder.
It opens its mouth to bite down on Orion, but he rips the creature off him and tosses him through of the last glass panes left on the ship.
I do love the sound of breaking glass.
Cole splashes through the water, ducking from the demon lord.
Suddenly, a large fallen male slices him across the face with a claw.
Cole hits the ground, blood covering his eyes, and drops the trigger.
Another demon runs forward and kicks Cole into a pod, shattering it.

Orion now sees his exit is a climb again.
He starts grabbing on pipes and built in desks and ceilings and strange infrastructure on the ship, pulling himself closer to the light.

Cole thinks of everything he now knows.
All of it.
Ran and the pods and the escape and dealing with the fallen.
How he survived the nuclear fallout and what happened to his parents and the deals they all probably made with the devil.
Cole, through the blood, sees the trigger floating away.
The demon lord stomps towards him.
Cole takes a final leap with his broken body and grabs the trigger.
The monsters come near him and start to grab and tear on his body.
His thumb hits the trigger and it goes red.
The demonic horde screams. If in their lost state, they know that.
Cole smiles.
His whole life flashes before his eyes, and he thinks of redemption.
The blessing of the island life he had, and the safety and rest he had there.
An blissfully ignorant few years, where people loved and cared for him.
Ran is there too. And so is Margaret. And Jan.
And Orion.
All the memories of Orion he had before that came back.
As the explosion goes off, the pain of his legs being ripped off is no more.
And Cole sees one more thing.
His old menu comes back.
It flashes over and over, but then it changes.
And what he sees makes him chuckle.
