Chapter XIV

For weeks Alduin refused to speak, to even utter a word. He

kept quiet. Kept his thoughts to himself. He had never imag-

ined that a day such as this would come. A day where he would

have to judge his own blood without any bias or discrimination.

His motivation to exist had become rather flaky and unstable.

During the nights he would ask to stop for a bit in order to rem-

inisce. To rethink his past decisions. To wonder about how he

would find the strength to keep going with the duty he had been

entrusted with. Maybe death is better than this inner conflict?

Death comes to us all anyways...

Eventually, after a couple of weeks he had regained the

  strength to speak.

  ‘Hanali.’

  ‘Yes?’

‘I-I think I’m ready to tell you the rest of my story. Would

you like to hear it? Before we reach Euphata...’

  ‘Sure.’

They lowered down and sat on a big snowy rock, in front of each

  other.

‘What I told you back then... It-It didn’t stop there...’ His

  face quickly turned somber.

She nodded and looked him right in the eyes.

‘Having become a servant of Vaonie, clearly I wasn’t left for

dead by the vampires... I was abducted and encaged by one of

their generals. A twisted man named Gozo. The guards tortured

me, starved me, feasted on me... They tried their best to kill my

sanity. And they did... Slowly but surely they did... Until I could

no longer feel anything. Until I was no longer sad nor happy, nei-

ther angry nor calm. I have gone into a state of simply existing.

Torture had become my reality and I have grown accustomed to

it. Until one day I was called into the clan leader’s courtroom.

His name was Lysander. He forced me to go through Vaonie’s

trials of the necklace,’ he stopped for a second to exhale deeply,

  to calm himself.

‘I am glad you survived it...’ She tried to smile after hearing

  about his tough life.

  ‘Thank you.’

She smiled. They went quiet for a few seconds and stared in

each other’s eyes. Then, he continued.

‘When I beat the trials I was transformed into an Araqhaiit

and transported back to Vanthea. The Vaermiraiits that ab-

ducted me were tasked with my training. When I finally became

worthy of my title Vaonie summoned me to Tyronah and or-

dered me to head to Heonmeyu. To slaughter everyone there...’

  ‘Where we met...’

  ‘Yes,’ he blushed.

Noticing his blush, she blushed too.

‘Sorry for annoying you with this, my sister has always told

me that I whine too much... Let’s just keep on going...’

‘No, no... Don’t apologize! I wanted to help you!’

‘You did. I feel a lot better now, like a huge burden was taken

off my shoulders. I feel calmer.’

She smiled and hugged him, rather awkwardly, probably try-

ing to mimic an embrace she had witnessed a mortal do. Like

the embrace of a robot trying to learn about affection. He was

surprised but his body did not let him escape her grasp, it was

comfortable, safe, warm. His hands jumped up to hug her back,

out of instinct, maybe out of muscle memory from his mother’s

hugs so long ago. Suddenly, the only thing he could feel was

her body and her chest going up and down, the only thing he

could hear was her breath. His eyes lost focus, resting. He slowly

closed them. Nothing else mattered, nothing felt more serene or

important than this moment. Having no idea on when she was

supposed to let go, she waited for him to end the hug. It took

about ten minutes, maybe a bit more. He took a deep breath,

looked at her, blushed, and then turned his gaze to the sky.

‘Thank you for that,’ he said.

She smiled, nodded and they flew away. Right back to their

  journey.

‘Hey, um...’ He suddenly said after about half an hour.

  ‘Yes?’

‘How do-... How do you judge people? What helps you

decide which level of punishment is required?’ He asked.

‘Oh, well... Hmm... I just follow the way I feel about the

crime, I guess? I believe I was given the right to decide for a

reason. I just need to think about how far the person has gone

  against my tenet.’

  ‘I see.’

‘It is your job now too. If you find it difficult then maybe

you should sit down and think about it.’

‘I mean, I already have an idea. But I think you’ll hate it.’

  ‘Tell me.’

  ‘No... It is too dark...’

  ‘Please?’

‘Well... I don’t believe there is a lesser evil, or a greater one,

just evil, and I believe in equal punishment for all it. May it be

lying, thieving, murder, backstabbing, racism and the like.’ He

hesitated and then said quietly, staring at Hanali’s eyes to see

  her reaction.

‘If they are all equal then how would you punish them? Just

punish everyone the same way?’ She raised an eyebrow.

  ‘Exactly.’

  ‘What would it be then?’

  ‘Well... Death.’

  ‘Huh?’

‘Death. Of course I don’t mean that lying to someone is as

vile as rape, but since there will be no greater or lesser punish-

ments than death, those two are put into the same ‘box’, so to

speak... It sounds like I am contradicting myself but if you think

hard enough about, you will understand my point.’

‘You are only allowed to take the life of someone if they break your tenet in a very drastic way. It is how Vaonie and Austomia

decided it should be and their word is law.’

‘I am aware. But... Bear in mind that all they did was say

‘drastic’. Meaning, we are the ones who judge how drastic an

occurrence is. Meaning, if I believe lying to be a drastic violation

of Honor, I am allowed to end their lives.’

‘Hmm, I did not think about it that way... I see... Well, I

ask you not to abuse it. It is their realm and their lives. They have

the right of free will, don’t take that away from them.’

  ‘Do they though?’

‘What do you mean?’ She tried her best not to roll her eyes.

‘I don’t think we actually have free will. I don’t think it exists.’

  ‘Explain please.’

They finally reached the arctic continent and continued flying

above it. Hanali was simply following along.

‘I started noticing animal-like behavioral patterns in mor-

tals. We seek dominance. We seek to be above and put others at

bay. We seek agreeability, acceptance. We are social creatures,

  craving validation.’

  ‘Validation? From Whom?’

‘Everyone. Our friends, family, lovers, society. Even that of

the people that bully us. We crave to be understood and listened

to. Despite our futile attempts to hide our true selfish nature,

it all comes out the moment we are put to the test. Our bodies

crave to sin but we simply restrain ourselves.’

  ‘What is your point?’

‘Austomia probably created the animals before they created

us and based us off of them. Women tend to be more submissive

while men tend to be more dominant, just like in the animal

kingdom. We give more thought to physical appearance and

strength than we do to purity of heart or intelligence. Just like

in the animal kingdom. No matter how far we stray from it we

always come back to our animal instincts. Of running, freezing

or fighting. Once you realize all of this mortals no longer appear

random. They become predictable, you know exactly how they would act or exactly what causes one to behave the way they do

in a given situation. My point is that there isn’t really free will.

We are all programmed in a very specific way with many tweaks

that derive from us being influenced by different events, people

and life stories. We are all the same.’

‘I don’t think you are right.’

  ‘Why not?’

‘Because it is a very negative way to look at things... Our

makers gave you life. They gave you decisions. Yes, they also gave

you pain, but so what? I believe pain was only created for the

purpose of making you grow up and strengthen your character.

I believe the purpose of pain for a mortal is to improve them.’

‘It’s a valid point... However, since there are so many mor-

tals along with the fact that Vanthea was created to be your

‘plaything’, this only strengthens my belief about the meaning

  of our life.’

  ‘Which is?’

  ‘That there is none.’

  ‘Excuse me?’

‘There are way too many mortals, which renders a single

mortal, or even an entire city, utterly meaningless. We are so

many, making the single unimportant, unnecessary. Our lives

mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. People are born

  and then they die.’

‘So why live in the first place if that’s what you believe to be

true? Why not just kill yourself?’

‘Well, currently I don’t actually have a way to die... I am

  immortal.’

‘You are wrong. I think you are in denial. You can die, you

just have to disobey Vaonie in order to do that... So why don’t

you just do it and be done with this realm you call a hoax?’

  ‘That’s a good question. I-I don’t know... Maybe... Hmm...’

  ‘Yes?’

‘Maybe... Maybe because our lives mean so little, that they

amount to nothing, there is no meaning to it. And, try to follow this train of thought, exclusively because there is no meaning

to this life, that gives it meaning?’

  ‘What?’

  ‘Making your own meaning!’

  ‘I don’t quite follow.’

‘Maybe it is just a matter of ‘if it is already like this then why

  the fuck not?’?’

She stared at him, utterly confused.

‘Now that I stopped to think about it it makes much more

sense to me. A mortal’s purpose is to find, or rather create, their

own purpose. And that must be why I am still here, in a quest to

make my life meaningful, or special...’

‘This is interesting.... I like that idea.’

‘What is your theory about this? I just noticed I was the only

  one talki-. Oh, wait! Stop!’

They stopped in place in midair.

  ‘What? What happened?’

‘I recognize this place,’ his eyes begin glowing in even stronger

red, full of fierceness and rage.

  ‘Really? Why? Where are we?’

  He pointed at a cave.

  ‘See that cave?’

  ‘Yes, what about it?’

‘That is where I was held as a child. The fucking Vaermiraiits’ lair! I must go there! Oh, how long have I waited for this

moment!’ He said and began flying fast toward it.

She quickly passed him and ‘stood’ (rather levitated) in his way.

‘What? Let me pass, Hanali. I beg of you.’

‘Show compassion. Forgive. Move on! Pain is necessary!’

‘Bullies don’t stop bullying! Murderers never stop murder-

ing! Evil is only beaten by necessary evil!’

‘Necessary evil? Are you hearing yourself talking?’

‘Yes! And I totally stand by what I said! Let me through!’

‘You are your own person so I will let you do as you wish.

  But please think about it.’

  ‘About what?’

  ‘Sparing them. For me.’

‘I-I don’t know if I can do that.’

  ‘Try to.’

  ‘We will see.’

He blasted his way towards the entrance to the cave. It was

guarded by five vampire guards who cheered his name when

they noticed him. They recognized his face and welcomed him

back home. "Him". They did not even use his actual name after

all... "Lodus". That enraged him even further. He landed on the

ground in front of them. They began walking towards him.

  ‘Welcome back, Lodus!’

  ‘Yes! Greetings, lord!’

‘My name. Is not. Lodus!’ He shouted.

‘Wha-,’ one of the guards was about to say.

He did not let him finish. He made Vaurcarya slash them all to

tiny pieces and began walking inside. He knew the underground

system all too well. The tunnels, the pathways, everything. He

did not even care for stealth. All he had in mind was to slay every-

thing and everyone. His mind was set on sparing no one. Except

for Edward maybe... Whenever he was greeted by Vaermiraiit

soldiers, they were slain on the spot. He began exploring the

inner caves, each one leading to another area of the system.

His tactic was going in, butchering everyone and then re-

tracing his steps in order to try out another route. He reached

the barracks. Instead of going inside he decided to try some-

thing else. He chanted the runes of the blood sun spell, a ginor-

mous one. It began sucking the blood, or rather life force, of the

entire units that inhabited the barracks. The screams of agony

engulfed the cave as they perished one by one.

‘There is no honor in killing children. In raping children.

In taking a child from their parents. So you don’t deserve my

honor!’ He shouted and turned back around.

After killing a few, then a dozen, then a few dozen and then

finally a few hundreds he reached the main cave.

‘Hmm... Houses... Good!’ He began laughing.

He finally understood why they called it a ‘Cave City’. It was

actually quite breathtaking. An incredible amount of houses

carved into the cave itself, made of stone. Candle-lit pathways

and torches every now and and again. Some houses were lit

up using magic, in the color of red, giving off a rather dark

vibe. The streets were busy with children, parents and guards.

It reminded him of the market back at the village. The sizes

and styles of the houses differed quite fascinatingly. Vampires?

Having a sense of taste in architecture? Who would have thunk?!

He stopped to reminisce a bit but after about five minutes set

his mind right back on track. He opened each house’s door,

delved inside and butchered everyone. Everyone except for the

  children.

‘No child deserves death. Not before they do something

  truly deserving of it...’

There he went on a grand massacre. Killing everyone in each

house aside from the children. Those children could potentially

grow to become his haters, rivals. One could even grow up to be

his nemesis. Who are we kidding here? A mere vampire couldn’t

actually rise against an Araqhaiit! Even if Alduin was not yet

  fully trained in his abilities...

Much to his liking, one of the houses he had barged into

was that of Zera, the one who enjoyed torturing him in the past.

He killed her husband and then targeted her. He decided to kill

her slowly and painfully, spilling a bit of her blood with each

strike, though not too much as he deemed it too soon for her

to die. He used both his sword and blood magic for the task.

Whenever it seemed like she was losing too much blood, he used

magic to shove it back up.

Screams of women, men and children spread around the cave. It reminded him of the screams he had heard back in the

Hekket arena. He smiled a rather twisted smile, his face full

of vampire blood. Suddenly, he came across a familiar sight -

the tavern he visited a long while ago, ‘The Dazed Human’. He

quickly remembered what he hated about that place and burst

inside, killing the guard swiftly with his sword. Immediately,

his eyes located the chained human slaves that were the whole

gimmick of the business. He began slaying the people that were

hanging out inside and used his sword to break the humans’

  shackles.

‘You are free now!’ He shouted, ‘Run away from here! Escape

  and don’t look back!’.

The now free humans bolted out the door, trying their best to

escape considering the shape their bodies were in. He heard

heavy breathing and crying from behind the bar and decided to

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

check it out. It was that irritating bartender that treated him

badly when he visited four years ago. Their eyes locked and she

  recognized him.

‘You! Please! Spare me! Please!’ She was sobbing, begging

  for mercy.

He grabbed her by the head and smashed it powerfully into the

wall and then into the bar’s stone table. She died instantly. The

tavern was finally empty of people. Dead silent and completely

painted in crimson. Aroma of iron in the air. He breathed it in,

  it got him excited.

‘Off to the next one I guess!’ He yelled out and smiled.

He got out and kept on walking, killing everyone he came across.

After a few hours he was interrupted by the first actual challenge.

It was Lul, standing directly at the entrance and blocking the

  path.

‘Move, Lul. My business is with Lysander first. Your time

  will come later on.’

‘I refuse. I heard the screams. The cries for help! Are you

insane? We practically raised you; you scum!’

‘You took my family from me! You forced me into this twisted

life of a filthy creature! I never wished for it! Now I have come

  to seek revenge! Vengeance! Redemption!’

‘Those are fine words but can you actually show for it? Do

you honestly think you could beat me?’

‘I see you weren’t able to regrow your limbs!’ He laughed.

  Lul growled in anger.

‘And to answer your question, of course I can!’

‘Then try, you pipsqueak! Scum! I hate you! This is for

  everything you have done!’

Just as Alduin lifted Vaurcarya, Lul disappeared into a cloud of

red mist. He felt her presence but could not see her. Suddenly

he was pierced from behind by her sword and it came all the way

out in the front. She then seized the opportunity to jump on

his shoulders and violently tear off his head and throw it to the

ground. Not sparing a moment of peace she began chanting a

sealing spell, hoping to lock him in place for eternity. He had

never fought such a strong foe before. The other vampires were

like nothing but small-fry compared to her. He began strate-

gizing, aiming to unleash one strong blow before she finishes

chanting. It finally struck him! He used the blood on the ground

to summon his mount, Acaroth, so it would distract her.

‘I see you finally got the gist of mounts! This is a rather

sad attempt to keep me at bay, however! Simply pathetic!’ She

laughed while chanting with her fingers.

‘I was not trying to keep you at bay!’

  ‘Huh?’

‘I was merely trying to distract you! And it worked!’

  ‘Huh?’

Apparently Acaroth was able to distract her from the trails of

blood forming runes that had surrounded her. They eventually

formed a triangle. He activated his spell and she was put inside

a triangular cage of blood magic. When she began yelling at him to let her go, she was impaled from all possible directions in the

cage by blood spikes. She screamed in agony and eventually fell

due to the immense loss of blood.

‘I call this ‘The Iron Maiden’,’ he said and recovered his body,

  ‘off I go!’

He continued walking further into the castle grounds, seeking

to reach the throne room of Lysander and also end the life of

Gozo who had directed his abduction in the first place. His next

target was the royal castle. When he reached the main gate he

was interrupted by guards who were no longer friendly. They

were killed with ease however... He kicked down the gate and

walked inside. In front of him stood two familiar faces, that of

  Edward and Gozo.

‘Why are you doing this, Lodus? We took you in quite nicely!

We trained, dined and treated you like a king!’ Gozo shouted

  with a disappointed face.

‘Why? Are you seriously asking me why? You took every-

thing from me! My home! My family! My destiny!’

‘There is no such thing as destiny, Lodus,’ Edward said.

‘I have come here to avenge my clan. My family. Nothing

and no one will stand in my way! Destiny is all!’ Alduin shouted.

  ‘How foolish you are.’

  ‘Oh and by the way.’

‘Oh, please do share your final words with us,’ Gozo said.

‘My name. It’s not Lodus, you fucking sadists!’

His face, that was covered with blood, now had a large smile

on it. He was excited. Gozo was the one who took him in. The

one who commanded the entire attack. Alduin began floating

in the air, thick red mist engulfed his feet. He used Vaurcarya

to fight Gozo while unleashing the wrath of his blood magic

on Edward. Edward preferred physical combat, using swords

and axes. He blocked the blood spikes with his enchanted axes

and began throwing knives at his opponent. In the meantime

Gozo unleashed his own blood magic at Alduin with a warrior’s

fierceness. Blood spikes, suns, saws, knives and even minions.

Enormous streams of blood were seen flying towards them

from the city nearby. Gozo was using the deceased as material.

At first a few pools of blood were formed on the ground, from

which rose a few figures until their shapes were fully prepared.

Then, the figures’ colors started changing gradually until the

figures acquired a force of life. The summons were revealed to be

a few giants and man-eating gargoyles and were all controlled

by Gozo via telepathy. The giants let out a mighty roar, trying to

  frighten their opponent.

He decided to distract Edward with Vaurcarya and also used

it to deflect the projectiles that were targeting him. He faced

Gozo and his minions. A giant tried to hit him with its club in a

vertical strike. Alduin side-stepped to the right and then jumped

on top of it. He ran upwards until he reached the giant’s head.

He pierced it with his claws and pulled powerfully. The head

was torn off along with the spine. He threw it away and quickly

jumped on top of the next giant while dodging Gozo’s ranged

magic. He also evaded the enormous amount of banishmnent

seals that Gozo spread around everywhere. He even placed some

on his minions. Every few seconds you could see large circular

and triangular seals being activated from the floor, the walls and

even the ceiling. Fortunately for Alduin, Gozo had never sealed

anyone away and wasn’t familiar with the tactics involved.

His telekinetic abilities were highly potent as Edward found

it nearly impossible to breach Vaurcarya’s protection. He tried

distracting it with a few throwing axes, knives and the like.

He also tried sidestepping to avoid it but it simply behaved as

though Alduin had eyes on his back. Vaurcarya followed Ed-

ward’s every move with precision, thus not allowing him to join

forces with Gozo. Alduin shot down the Gargoyles with blood

spikes in order to prevent them from interfering with his fight

against the next giant. He kept Gozo preoccupied with a few

blood impalement spells. Standing on the giant’s shoulders, it

tried to hit him with its giant sword. Alduin teased it by punch-

ing its neck, enraging it enough to try and hit him hard. This resulted in Alduin stepping off to the other shoulder, avoiding

the strike of the giant sword and causing the giant to cut its own

arm off. The giant screamed in agony and screeched.

He jumped off its shoulders in a backflip and immediately

combined it with a high kick. The giant flew towards the nearest

wall that was already prepared with a lot of blood spikes. Only

one more giant and four gargoyles were left for him to defeat. He

suddenly remembered that vampires are weak against the cold.

He slapped himself from sheer disappointment and faced Gozo

directly. He bit right into his right elbow, hard enough to tear it

out. His blood spilled on the ground in a large pool. He quickly

regenerated it back and did it three more times. He chanted

in his head and made the pools rise in the shape of minotaurs.

Their right hand twirled around and changed into a spear while

their left hand changed into a gigantic shield, resembling those

of the spartan soldiers his uncle told him about. The bulls were in

charge of keeping Gozo’s minions at bay during the battle. They

struck a defensive position and prevented the flying gargoyles

from coming anywhere close to him. Alduin smirked.

‘Why are you smiling?’ Gozo asked while trying to hit him

with swords made of blood falling from the ceiling.

‘I just remembered something,’ he cracked his knuckles.

  ‘What is it?’

‘Do you remember telling me about the biggest weakness

  of vampires?’

  ‘FUCK!’

Alduin decided not to avoid Gozo’s blood magic but rather take

them all in. He began moving his hands while whispering some-

thing and lowering his head in a bow.

‘What are you doing? At least try to fight! I don’t remember

you being so pathetic!’ Gozo shouted and wore a confused face.

Alduin continued his chanting but raised his voice suddenly.

The temperature in the room began declining swiftly as a mist

of snow and raindrops began engulfing Alduin. He continued

chanting and the mist was spinning around him, like a small tornado. He raised his voice and shouted. The only word that Gozo

recognized was 'Uli'. Abruptly, the mist left Alduin’s body and

shot itself towards Gozo. It twirled around him as he screamed

in agony and his body was gradually covered by frostbite. He

froze in place as a statue made of ice. His face was no longer

  recognizable.

‘No!’ Edward shouted and gained a burst of adrenaline,

allowing him to step right through Vaurcarya’s defenses.

  —

‘Oh. Greetings. What are you doing here?’

Hanali opened a door and entered Vaonie’s courtroom.

  ‘Greetings, maker.’

‘Actually this is quite good timing. I wanted to ask you why

Alduin is massacring my followers. Explain yourself, you were

tasked to keep him at bay!’

‘Yes that is exactly what I came here for.’

  ‘Speak then!’

‘I hereby request that you would ignore Alduin’s rampage.’

‘What? Why would I do that?’

‘Uhm... Because it would greatly benefit you!’

‘How would letting a traitor kill my followers benefit me?!

You make no sense! I expected more from my first child!’

‘Alduin told me his story. I know every detail of it. Including

  how everything makes him feel.’

  ‘What’s your point?’

‘Alduin’s whole mind is set on revenge. He will never be

able to be a loyal servant that way. Also, his mind will never be

focused on the task at hand. His mind will always wonder off to

the concept of avenging his family. He was greatly hurt by his

  past. Mortals are like that!’

‘And why shouldn’t I just get rid of him and attain an en-

tirely new replacement for Lodus? One that lacks such drastic

  symptoms of post-trauma?’

  ‘Because!’

  ‘Because what?’

‘Because it would make me sad! Here, I said it! It would

make me greatly depressed to lose my time with him! I enjoy

  his company.’

‘You? Fell for a mortal? How revolting! Disgusting, really!’

‘I too have no idea how it happened, but it did. I would also

be a lot less loyal and focused without him. Make your choice.’

‘Is that an ultimatum I’m hearing?’

‘You can call it however you want, maker. In the end I’m

  simply offering you something unique.’

  ‘Unique? How exactly?’

‘A chance to keep me at peace. To keep me happy and satis-

fied. I have lived in pain for endless millennia, ever since Lodus

died. Please, just give me this.’

  ‘Alright.’

  ‘What?’

‘I said alright! I will spare him. But only this once!’

‘Thank you, maker! Thank you!’ Hanali smiled broadly and

  jumped in excitement.

  —

Alduin who was trained professionally by Edward in the arts of

evasion, managed to dodge all of the attacks targeted at him

with such precision that it made his tutor smile.

  ‘I taught you well.’

  ‘You did,’ he smiled back.

Alduin felt a bit of nostalgia. Edward was the only vampire he

knew that was turned and felt great empathy towards him. He

unleashed a bigger wave of blood spikes targeting his teacher.

Finally, some of them hit and Edward was spiked against the

  wall.

‘I do not wish to fight you, Edward. I’m giving you a chance

to relive your life, maybe even find a cure to your vampirism.

You are free to go once I am done here.’

  ‘I-... Why?’

‘Like me you didn’t choose this life, it chose you. Mortals

should have the right to make their own destiny. I will not allow

it to be taken away from you like mine was.’

‘What makes you think I wouldn’t try to hunt you down once

  I’m freed from these restraints?’

‘You can try to. I won’t give you a second chance howe-,’

Alduin was smashed from the back by Gozo’s enormous blood

hammer and he was launched at another wall, causing it to crack

  broadly.

‘Understood,’ Edward said and ran off.

‘You coward! Traitor! I will take this to the chief directly!

You fucking traitor! How dare you leave me here?!’ Gozo yelled

  out.

Gozo started walking menacingly, placing banishment seals all

around. He was trying to trap him in. He even placed some on

the walls, circling Alduin. He continued walking towards him.

He placed some seals in the air to prevent him from escaping.

He finally reached him. He put his hand on his forehead and

chanted. Alduin vanished into thin air. Gozo let out a victory

  roar. He won.

  Or did he?

‘Hey Dunbar! Behind you!’ Alduin shouted and flew di-

  rectly towards him.

  ‘What?!’

Vaurcarya was also flying by his side. He instructed the gigantic

bulls to merge into a humanoid titan. It held a ginormous ham-

mer and was more aggressive towards the minions. It exploded two of the gargyoles with a direct smash. Gozo’s face turned blue

and he looked frightened. Just when Alduin was about to reach

him he stopped in midair. He levitated up. Slowly reaching new

heights while chanting again. This time the chants were very

loud and his eyes began glowing in light blue. Alduin wasted no

time and used Vaurcarya to cut off his legs, arms and head off.

His head continued levitating while the rest of this body splat

down on the ground. He continued chanting.

The limbs he had lost started melting into vast pools of blood.

The temperature also began declining even faster than before.

Gozo was shivering and already lost his left hand due to the

frostbite. Shortly after his right leg joined in as well. A thick

mist of snow surrounded the area and then engulfed Alduin. He

called out the pools of blood to rise and join the snow. He yelled

out and called the blood and mist to mix together. He launched

it towards Gozo and made it circle around him like a tornado

of white and red. Gozo was screeching and screaming from

pain. The snow was burning his body with frostbite while the

blood formed a nearly endless amount of swords that pierced his

body from all angles. He continued screaming until he suddenly

stopped. The tornado disappeared and Alduin’s head fell back

to the ground. He regenerated his body and got back on his feet.

He approached Gozo and found out he perished. His disembow-

eled and unrecognizable body lied there like a mannequin. Like

a corpse. He let out a laugh and then smiled broadly.

‘Fuck him! Fuck him! Fuck him!’ He shouted.

He started running towards Lysander’s courtroom, swiftly. When

he reached the door he decided he shouldn’t take any chances

and unleashed his other form. He targeted Vaonie’s mark to-

wards himself and began burning, screaming from the sheer

pain it made him feel. Then, he kicked down the door and there

he was, standing with his back towards him. He was facing a

painting of a naked woman, drinking from what appeared to be

  a blood chalice.
