A barren landscape of white endlessly sprawled out in every direction, excluding down. Not even the faintest breeze of wind existed in the space. An ever-present light filled the space, perfectly illuminating each inch of the space to an equal degree with no indication of the light's position or origin. However, despite the lack of anything, something or someone stood in stark contrast to the ever-present absence of reality.
(Zalrotho is a super tall, twenty-one-year-old-looking adult male humanoid ultimate kitsune; he has dark silver hair with glowing pale cyan and glowing black tips, pure grey eyes, pale white to the point it is faintly cyan skin, a large scar all over his left arm, a countless number changing long[triple his height in length] dark silver tails with glowing pale cyan and glowing black tips, and dark silver kitsune ears [left ear has glowing pale cyan fur and right ear has glowing black fur)
(Zalrotho is wearing a skintight darksteel threaded armless full-body spandex jumpsuit, baggy dark ocean blue cargo trousers with five darksteel metal shields floating around his hips and behind him in the vague shape of a dress, and slightly cracked silverwood getas)
Zalrotho(M.E) stood in silence, lowering his gaze to the ground and staring at his feet. The first thing to come to his attention was the absence of a shadow beneath his feet, and he silently huffed as he closed his eyes.
"I see you've dropped that cloak since the last time we crossed paths," Zalroth(AC:FoA) remarked smuggled as he dropped from above and landed on his tails before sinking into them like they were a beanbag.
(Zalroth is a super tall, twenty-one-year-old-looking adult male humanoid transcendent kitsune; he has slightly long silver hair with cyan to pale golden ends and large bangs, greyed-out pupilless eyes, pale white to the point it is faintly cyan skin with pale golden fingertips, twenty large[three times his size] kitsune tails made of embodiment qi[pale golden energy with a wavey/particle effect], and kitsune ears made of embodiment qi)
(Zalroth is wearing a skin-tight reflective sleeveless silver shirt, a white fur belt with the lower half of a mage robe attached to it, black fur trousers, golden-coloured cotton socks, and silverwood getas)
Without even looking at his alternate timeline counterpart, Zalrotho let out a begrudging but hearty sigh as he opened his eyes.
"And I see you've taken to becoming a rockstar," Zalrotho uttered as he continued casting his eyes across the barren white void. Staring in his counterpart's direction, Zalroth smirked contently and flicked his bangs with the exaggerated angst of a heavy metal guitarist.
"Have I now?" Zalroth asked amusedly, making the unamused Zalrotho scoff. Zalrotho dismissively waved his hand in his counterpart's direction and focused on looking for anything other than the two of them.
"Don't try to distract me, your trap won't work on me this time," Zalrotho grumbled with the tiniest hint of amusement beneath his words. Zalroth amusedly exhaled and placed his hands on his hips, his tails playfully swishing against the perfectly flat white ground.
"That's a shame," Zalroth remarked as a faint chorus of giggles emanated from his tails. Zalroth glanced at his rustling tails, giving them a cheeky wink, causing the intensity of the giggling to ramp up. The giggling only annoyed Zalrotho on a surface level as he raised a hand to his face and pulled at his cheeks, turning them a deeper shade of cyan.
"We can humour those gremlins later, we've got more pressing matters at the moment," Zalrotho grumbled, his words minorly slurred from his restricted cheek movement.
"True, if it's just us; then, it's most likely who... well whatever put us here wants us to fight.". With a thought crossing his mind, Zalroth glanced upwards and silently gazed at the lack of a sky above, focusing on the three swirling masses of colours behind some sort of skybox. "Although... this could just be a loading area.". For a moment, Zalrotho didn't respond, finding his counterpart's remark ludicrous, but as he pondered on it started making more and more sense, in a somewhat idiotic way.
"Or even a hub world?" Zalrotho uttered dispassionately.
"That's those three for you, indecisive and scatterbrained," Zuetala grumbled critically as her many floating garnet red eyes surveyed the Void of White. Cutting through the duo's conversation, the new voice caught Zalrotho's attention, ushering him to turn around. His expression immediately turned into a frown, covering his eyes in utter disbelief but parting his fingers to allow the light of his eyes to break through. As he saw Zuetala subtly poking her head out from one of Zalroth's many kitsune tails, his lack of amusement was evident, heightened only by Zalroth's equally amused expression at his surprise.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
(Zuetala Sakamoto is the Observation God Kaiser Beast with the appearance of a female human child; she has hip-low spikey super pale cyanish grey hair with the hair halfway down split into three separate ponytails, light grey skin with a hint of cyan, a hip-low light grey spine-like tail protruding from the back of her neck with a garnet red eye on the end, multiple floating garnet red eyes around her, and has no eyes nor eye sockets on her face)
(Zuetala is wearing super fluffy pinky red and dark red thigh-high stockings, a skintight black crop top with a red garnet eye embroidery on the front, black short shorts with large pinky red fur bands around the short's bottom hems, and an alternating pinky red and dark red metalic extensions attached around her crop top by black metal rings and organised to appear like a dress)
"More of them?" Zalrotho asked dryly, his tone lacking the slightest bit of humour. Zalroth lightly chuckled, reaching out to gently ruffle Zuetala's hair, messing it up even more than it already was. Zuetala puffed up her cheeks, redding up her pale skin, and huffed indignantly as her floating eyes weakly slammed into the kitsune's hand in a vain attempt to free the Kaiser Beast.
"Heh, nah. Zuetala and her siblings have been in my hair since Minia and Nola were kids," Zalroth remarked solemnly, a sombre pride in his tone as he lessened his already gently hair messing. Zalrotho remained silent at hearing his counterpart's statement. Lowering his gaze to the ground, Zalrotho swiftly turned on his heel and gazed off into the distance.
"I suppose... we're both less than stella when it comes to interactions with our successors..., ey?" Zalrotho mentioned with the tiniest bit of warmth in his words. At hearing The Dark Lord's words, Zalroth swiftly raised his head, surprise overtaking him as his greyed-out eyes locked onto his counterpart. For a moment, Zalroth was stunned, being shown concern by Zalrotho of all people was something he'd never expected. But despite the absurdity, he still felt gratitude for his counterpart's words before he resumed messing up Zuetala's hair.
"And here I thought you didn't have a single ounce of compassion left in you," Zalroth asked teasingly as Zuetala pouted and delved into the guy's tail, fleeing from any further hair ruffling.
"And you wonder why," Zalrotho stated, his usual callousness back in full swing.
"Monarch, there's some sort of floating card. Three thousand paces directly forward of you," Zuetala grumbled in a pout, the kitsune tail she delved into bouncing and rustling in tune with her words. Zalroth cheekily scoffed as he eyed Zalrotho, causing the black-haired kitsune to groan in disdain.
"You heard her," Zalroth remarked playfully, his voice teaming with mischief as he pulled a foot back. Without a moment to spare, he booked it past Zalrotho, blasting off at blinding speed and leaving a trail of Zuetala's eye drones lagging behind him in his wake. Zalrotho remained silent, his expression still one of agitation as he hovered himself off the ground. With a swift stomp of his foot, he rocketed himself through the air and flew after Zalroth.
To neither of the kitsunes' surprise, the trek across the white void expanse proved to be uneventful, almost to a mind-numbing degree. As the ten collective minutes of running blurred together, Zalroth found himself at the mercy of the god kaiser beasts' incessant whining. Their complaints of boredom were blasted directly into his ears, grating the nerves of his counterpart with each passing second.
"This place is even blander than Choumiko's room," Enn?e Vaata remarked, adding a hint of snark to her tone. Enn?e Vaata's comment was swiftly met by a loud smack; the force of Choumiko's retaliation launching one of Zalroth's tails to the ground with an audible thud.
Catching him off guard, the impact's recoil flung Zalroth off his feet, sending him spinning through the air. Without the chance to collect himself, he crashed face-first into the floor, bouncing across it like a skipping stone on a lake. The once loud god kaiser beasts instantly went silent, only the occasional gasp breaking the silence as Zalroth slid across the cold surface of the white void.
Zalroth eventually came to a stop, the top of his head bumping into a black and white checkered block with a red bar on the top and bottom of it. With a forced chuckle, Zalrotho landed beside his counterpart as Zalroth pushed himself up to his feet, his face mildly red with a sly grin on his face.
"Would you look at that, a meter cubed block," Zalroth mentioned casually, seemingly ignoring his prior fall. He gestured to the cube, making Choumiko sigh in relief as Zalroth moved on from the incident. Zalrotho gave his counterpart a confused side-eye, finding it odd that Zalroth hadn't made a quip about falling on his face or something of the sort. But after he thought it over, he decided to let it go, rolling his eyes as the cube flashed.
"Kick it?" Zalroth asked cheekily.
"Kick it.".
Zalroth nodded before lightly tapping the cube with his foot. The cube beeped, its inner workings clicking and clacking before a playing card shot out of it with a cash register-like ding. The duo watched the card fly into the air along with other distorted objects flinging out of the cube, positioning themselves in the air and suspending themselves in place as it formed into a floating parkour course.
