Chapter 49+ Stats, Skills, Spells & Stuff

  Dear Diary,

Mel wants me to regurly update my progress so she can indulge her wannabe-NSA fetish – I thought that was Jen’s job but whatever, micro-managing much? Since I’m in the habit of writing these, I figured why not kill two birds with one stone? We’re doing one st check-up before venturing past the crater and I’ll just hand her this entry at base camp, I’m sure she’ll love it! I’m still level 100 because overpowered Jill got to hog all the kills on the way here. As a result, only crafting and spending energy has actually improved my stats; Physical endurance gained 12 points, magical power gained 6 points and magical endurance ran away with it as always, improving by 38. This puts me at the following totals:

  PP: 38 (10+28) – Linked to MiningPS: 239 (210+29) – Linked to LeatherworkingPE: 137 (110+27) – Linked to Metalworking (Smithing)MP: 357 (310+47) – Linked to RunescribingMS: 21 (10+11) – Linked to EnchantingME: 282 (110+172) – Currently a full tank

As if that wasn’t enough, she also wants to know about my stuff, talk about disrespect for privacy, huh?

Legs + Chestpiece + Quiver + 2x boots = Quality 10 (leatherworked) Shieldsword = Quality 10x2 (lvl 10 runescribed + lvl 10 smithed)New Practice Pte = 20h of work on it so far.1x Dragonsteel Sword2x Q10 Magisteel Sword (smithed)2x ~Q100? Magisteel Swords (looted)42x Magic Swords (summoned)735 Crystal Cash (still waiting for that pay-out, Mel! Don’t you dare introduce company scrip)(20 K crystal to fuel combat, but technically these are supplies)

I’m also carrying a standard booster kit, so a full suite of stat potions and three extra healing vials. We shelved the stickies for now until someone thinks up a less fallible way of lugging them around. Before you give me any shit Mel, yes, I have my pen, magic pipe and a stash of tobacco stuffed in my rune pouch, along with a fsk of booze, a self-care kit plus my knife, who gives a crap?

I’m keeping two slots of my sheath open for blinking purposes. I’m starting to get a little annoyed that the censorship committee is on strike, because it means she can read all this stuff, forcing me to write out what I can do no less!

  My upgraded ability is:

[Summon Sword]: Summon a powerful magical sword under your control for you to wield. Range: Touch. Cost: 50 energy.

  My upgraded skills are:

[Sheath]: Pce or withdraw a sword under your control into or from an extra dimensional storage space. You can store up to thirty swords simultaneously. Range: Touch. Cost: None.

[Control]: Manipute up to three swords you control with your thoughts. Exertable power is equal to yours. Range: 3 meters. Cost: None.

[Launch]: Launch a sword you control in the direction that the point is facing, four times as hard as you can throw it. Range: 3 meters. Cost: 5 energy.

I have the following cantrips, getting pretty sick of writing stuff down:

[Light]: Create a visible light-source extending allied havens. Duration: 1 hour. Cost: 1 energy.”

  [Mending]: Cost: 10 energy.

[Create Food and Drink]: Cost: 10 energy.

Man, this really sucks all the fun out of it. I can’t be arsed to write down the long-ass description (should’ve been careful about what I wish for, eh?) of my low-magic, so I’ll just describe it instead.

[Aim-assist]: It’s a free passive toggle effect like all low-magic and allows me to preview trajectories by thinking about them, giving me ridiculous accuracy at any range. It also automatically fgs friendly and enemy targets for me and disallows arcs that hit allies, although I can turn that off by considering my buddies as enemies, which isn’t particurly challenging. What the System didn’t tell me is that it also gives a ser-eye effect when turned on, but only on my right eye. I could’ve used a warning there since Jen thought I was poking fun at her heterochromia.

Christ, writing up two full sides of a wrapper takes some effort. Are you happy now Mel? You’ve ruined diary entries for me. Your crusade against all things fun is succeeding. Congratutions, Ascendant.

  Bye dear Diary
