Chapter 4: An Exposition Dump

The Sun hung high above the deep blue sky on this hot summer afternoon.

Aful week had passed since Caspian made out with Mosquito Girl and saved Genos.

Overall, he believed he hahe situation well.

At the moment, he y on the floor futon in his room, a light breeze blowing through the open window.

Mosquito Girl, like Wavygyaza, held a pce among his top six. His excitement surged whe and held her. Holy, the perfect feel of her big bottom alone made his day.

Thoughts like these, once simple delusions, didn’t surprise him, sidering he spent the st decade of his previous life in isotion. He uood those years alone hadn’t e without a cost. But now that those six delusions are a reality, he greedily vowed to make them all his.

A minor obstacle stood in his way, however.

Caspian didn’t know how to make these fiery women fall for him, let alone agree to share him.

Realizial simutions wouldn’t solve anything, he shifted his focus to figuring out how to best use his knowledge of future events t himself closer to his dream.

Another issue he faced involved the topic of his disciple and the others to follow.

How good of a master could he be? While he had never been in a simir position before, he could still do better than Saitama. Unlike Saitama, he actually wao be a master and help his disciples grow into true powerhouses. But how?

Caspian’s frustration grew and grew. He wasn’t a genius by any means, but even he should be able to e up with a method to train his disciples. Did he really have to resort to the random BS method?

  The answer, of course, was—

  “Master!”

Caspian jumped up from his floor futon, quickly folding it before reag the entrao his apartment room.

The door creaked as he pushed it open, his head poking through the gap. “You finally showed up... Genos.”

Genos stood before him, his expression serious and unfazed. “It’s no surprise you’ve already learned my name, Master Caspian.”

Caspian pushed the door open fully and said, “Well, e in and have some… Tea? Yeah, there should be tea somewhere i.”

  ”Yes!”

  Several mier…

Caspian and Genos sat across from each other at the living room table, steam curling from the two cups of tea set ly in pce.

“I see you're already ba one piece.”

“Yes, my body is mostly meical. As long as there are parts, repairs are quick.”

"Yoing to ask me about my parts. The answer is simple: I don't use any. My ck of hair isn't a result of enhas—I'm just bald, despite being so young." Caspian leaned ba fidence.

Genos’ expression shifted. “Incredible! Master, you’ve accepted your baldness and are stronger for it.”

  “No, tha—”

“Me? You’ll listen to my problems?”

“No. You pletely missed the point I was trying to make.”

“Actually, four years ago, when I was 15, I was still a normal human being.”

  “Are yrammed to say this?”

“Although we had to pinch pennies, my family and I live a peaceful and fairly happy life. But one day, a crazed cyb went out of trol and attacked our town.

  The insane cyb…

Most likely, a faulty upgrade caused his brain to malfun. He destroyed everything in sight.

  Parks, schools, buildings, my house…

He even took my family’s lives. Miraculously, I survived.”

“I don’t think even a Colpsing Star R on could halt this recolle.”

“However, I was but a helpless 15-year-old, weary and alone in a ruiown. That’s when Doctor Kuseno happeo pass through.

Doctor Kuseno, a stist for justice, was on a mission to stop the destru caused by the rampaging cyb.

I begged Doctor Kuseno to perform augmentation surgery on my body.

That’s how I was reborn as a cyb who fights for justice. I promised Doctor Kuseno that one day I would termihe evil cyb.”

Caspian nodded. “Let me sum it u—”

“It’s been four years sihat day. I’m now 19, and I’ve been wandering from town to town, eliminating evil. I’ve destroyed tless monsters and criminal anizations.

But I have been uo find any clues about the insane cyb and have grown frustrated aless.

I find myself chasing a vision of that cyb whenever I face my enemies.

Then st week, when that mosquito monster appeared, I let my tration slip. I was vinced I could not lose to anything but the rampaging cyb, so I ed to analyze the data on my oppo and rushed to front her.”

“Her name is Mosquito Girl.” Caspian’s head slouched. He had uimated the toll of this exposition dump.

“The result, as you know, was that an oppo with immerength bested me. If you Master Caspian, had not been in the area, I would have undoubtedly beeroyed.

Master Caspian, you saved my life.

I owe Doctor Kuseno my life, but now I am also ied to you. That debt weighs heavily on me. I must not die until I destroy that cyb. And to do that, I must tinue fighting evil as a righteous cyb until he appears before me one day.

  I o get stronger.

Last week, when I saw your attack, I knew I had to study under you as your apprentice. If I only I could be as strong as you, Master Caspian!

I have an old eo defeat, and not just for my own sake. It’s for my hometown, and for Doctor Kuseno. I realize I am still inexperienced. But right now, I need enormous power so I eradicate the greatest of evils!

  Doctor Kuseno is—”

“Enough, dammit! This isn’t new information!”

  ¤ ¤ ¤

led deep in a mountainous forest was a slender, skyscraper-like building.

This building, of course, was the House of Evolution.

“Mosquito Girl was defeated? With orike, you say? Well, she was just a prototype, after all.”

Dr. Genus sat in his office chair, watg the rge holographic s dispyed above his desk.

“Why is he naked? No, more importantly, why is kissing her?”

“Unclear. He may have a mosquito fetish,” said Dr. Genus’ 28th e, who stood in a shadow covered se of the room.

“Perhaps, given that he has that mosquito in a jar with him, but given the way he handled Mosquito Girl, I believe his fetish to lie elsewhere.

No matter. He’ll make an excellent spe. We shall study his physiology, by force if necessary. Send a messenger and invite him here, to our House of Evolution.

“One more thing. Have you located Mosquito Girl’s body?”

e 28 stepped out from the shadows. “Yes. Remarkably, she survived. We currently have her in the underground medical facility. Now that you have mentioned her, I o ask—did you notice the oddity of his strike?”

Dr. Genus frowned and had the clip of her getting stru the bottom repyed at its slowest possible pyback speed.

He lurched forward toward the holographic s, wide-eyed, as the se repyed o.

Dr. Genus flopped bato his chair, muttering, “H-he’s angling the strike so she collides perfectly with the building! This level of speed and precision is inprehensible.

  He wanted her to survive.

But why at that angle... Ah! Mosquito Girl’s blood sack. With it full, she would be ed by bloodlust, uo think of anything but draining the life from every living creature she came across.

He’ll e for us, I’m certain of it. Expedite Mosquito Girl’s healing and call off our messeeam.”

  e 28 wore a troubled look. “I’m afraid they’ve already arrived.”

Dr. Genus frowned and gave a deep sigh. “Perhaps that man will spare another one of my creations.”
