The body of a Jane Doe, believed to be Kathrine O’Donoghue, was found at 7:45 on the morning of December 25th by a man named John Abraham. After calling the police, John waited on the side of the road, a few feet away from the woods where he had found Kathrine. When the police arrived at the scene, they found nothing but leaves and snow where the Jane Doe’s body had been. They then took John in for questioning and later filed this as a false report. That is, to them, what made the most sense. There were no footsteps in the snow, besides their own and John’s, and no sign of a body being dragged away, or even that there was a body there to begin with. They left John off with a warning and an intense feeling of confusion.

They left this case to collect dust in the false report cabinet without a second thought. No investigation, no consideration, even when Kathrine was reported missing just the next day. That is until a new detective stumbled upon it after typing up and filing away the report on her first investigation.
