Chapter 110: Delivered to the Door

Chapter 110: Delivered to the Door

Carefully peeling off the mud from the outer yer of the konjac, the female ogre’s eyes were filled with greed as she she tempting aroma.

Uedly, she didhe konjac she collected, but instead pced it in a rough and ugly wooden frame, merely lig her fihat had touched the fvor.

She then lowered her head and began to dig in the soil with her hands, trying to follow the roots to find the konjac.

The res did the same, gathering the konjac they found piece by piece without privately eating them.

This somewhat exceeded adventurers' uanding of ogres. Seeing this, Matthew blinked in surprise, realizing that the pn had bee smoother.

The only possibility for the gluttonous and zy female ogres to be so restrained was that...

There were newly bre infants in the camp!

Lazy and brutal, ogres were undoubtedly terrifying to the creatures around them.

However, they were surprisingly good to their offspring.

Not waiting any longer, Matthew took out a small length of white silk thread and quickly ted a spell. Pointing his staff forward, he said:

  "Sed-tier spell - Web!"

  Spellcasting beyond his level!

Matthew was already a Level 3 Arist and o level up one more time to "master" sed-tier spells.

However, thanks to the characteristics of an Arist and his extraordinary intelligeribute, Matthew could perform spells above his tier!

Of course, doing so ed extra mana.

The web falling from the sky covered the unprepared female ogres, immediately causing chaos.

The web, as thick as fingers, tightly bound them; the more they struggled, the tighter it became.

The female ogres howled incessantly, their sharp, high-pitched cries eg far away.

From a distant mountain stream, faint shouts echoed bad, hearing this otion, the adventurers immediately grew tense.

The female ogres had called for reinforts!

Matthew didn’t tiag the trapped female ogres because something iing happened.

When the female ogres realized they couldn’t escape, they actually began lying down on the spot!

  They gave up!

That’s right, although the female ogres had strong, intimidating bodies, as long as there was no immediate threat to their lives, their desire to fight wasn’t strong.

They usually waited quietly for the male ogres to e to their rescue.

Knowing this, Matthew didn’t tinue his attack. Looking at the somewhat stunned soldiers and adventurers, he calmly said:

"The male ogres will arrive soon, prepare for battle."

"Their spell resistance isn’t strong. Hold them off as long as possible, leave the rest to me!"

Hearing this, everyoed an unparalleled fiden Matthew’s tone.

Old vilge chief Field took out a bottle of dark green potion and poured it into a small bck bucket, then added water to it.

After fully stirring it, he sigo the nearby rangers and rogues:

"Apply it to the arrowheads, it’s quite effective. Just be careful not to hurt yourselves."

Some experienced mid-tier rogues s lightly, and a faint numbness hit their lungs, their eyes lighting up as they excimed:

  "Paralysis potion?"

Meeting the adventurers’ surprised gazes, old vilge chief Field nodded indifferently, signaling for other soldiers t out the crossbow bolts.

The soldiers acted quickly, dipping the bundled crossbow bolts into the mixture and soaking them for a few seds with practiced ease.

The soldiers lined up to dip the arrows, and the adventurers subsciously lined up as well.

Having bee aced to queuing in Bay Ridge, the adventurers also started to discuss it.

"Is it the paralysis potion that costs 30 gold s per bottle?"

"That’s right. Although its effely sts for an hour, it’s extremely potent, even effective against high-tier professionals!"

"30 gold s per bottle? That expensive?"

"Expensive? A bottle of paralysis potion is nothing! Look at the crossbows they’re using…"

"It looks like a military-grade crossbow, eae costing 20 gold s…"

"And the crossbow bolts are top-notch too… eae is at least 10 silver s…"

  "I’m envious…"

Without a parison, there’s no sense of loss.

Seeing the vish equipment of the Bay Ridge soldiers, the adventurers couldn’t help but murmur to themselves.

"Why would the lord of Bay Ridge be willing to spend so much money ur soldiers?"

Filled with doubts and a slight sense of grievahe adventurers finished dipping their arrows and dispersed to hide uhe ands of Alid Field.

Over ten huge male ogres were already charging in with loud howls.

They shouted as they ran, trying to locate the exact position of the female ogres.

The lying female ogres called back excitedly.

Just as Alice was about to draw her on against them, Matthew softly said:

"Don’t worry, I’m more ed they might not make it…"

While Alice was stuhe male ogres from the distance had already located the sound and arrived.

A dense barrage of arrows rained down on the ogres.

They were hit by several arrows, but their thick skin and tough bodies showed ion as they tio charge forward.

"Ding, the ogre is affected by paralysis poison, poison will take effe 7 seds…"

"Ding, the ogre resisted the paralysis poison…"

"Ding, the ogre is affected by paralysis poison, poison will take effe 9 seds…"

  "Ding, the ogre resisted…"

  "..."

The ogres had strong bodies, and some with higher stitution attributes were even able to resist the paralysis poison once or twice.

The barrage of arrows kept ing, and after 3 to 4 rounds of volleys, each ogre had seven ht arrows stig out of them.

They could resist once or twice, but couldn’t withstand everything!

As Matthew saw these male ogres rushing toward him, the paralysis poison had already begun to take effect.

Their limbs twitched, their movements became erratid many of the male ogres were losing trol of their bance.

Sensing dahe male ogres tried to swing their thick wooden clubs to block the ining arrows.

But their movements were too clumsy, only able to protect the vital points on their heads.

A few male ogres even tried to throw javelins.

But their oppos were quite ing, always hiding behind tree trunks.

The giant javelins flew through the air with a loud whoosh but failed to hit any targets.

Soon, the male ogres were covered in blood, and their dition quickly deteriorated.

The paralysis poison's effe them was being increasingly severe, making the short distance of a few dozeers seem like an insurmountable gap.

Matthew could see that although these ogres still had plenty of health left, their bodies were starting to succumb to the burden.

Their overall movements had slowed down by thirty pert, and their threat level had dropped by nearly half.

"Don’t get too close, keep shooting from a distance."

Having grown aced to fighting trolls, the big guys had shed their initial nervousness, finding it hard to feel any awe toward the pathetic ogres in front of them.

After much effort, when the ogres finally rushed over, Matthew cast "Grease" on the ground, causing the ogres to stumble and fall all over the pce.

While they're down, finish them off!
