Chapter 140: Victory of Are
Bloodhand Kahn charged madly forward, cutting down and tearing apart more than a dozen monster knights along the way.
But he gained nothing.
The terrifying monster spiraled into plete madness, drawn to the st of blood and flesh, turning to charge toward the camp.
Any monsters in his path were cleaved in half with a single swing of his axe.
In just a few dozeers, Bloodhand Kahn had killed nearly a hundred monsters.
His wild roars turned him into a true beast, once again sughtering his way to the walls.
Witnessing his rampage, the soldiers defending the walls felt an overwhelming sense of despair and fear.
The Arist had sacrificed himself!
The walls were broken!
Who would save them now?
This time, standing before him was Beelzebub!
g!
Two massive axes collided, sending a jolt of pain through Beelzebub’s hands as blood surged in his chest.
He didn’t retreat, standing firmly at the breach, his eyes bloodshot.
Summoning all his strength, Beelzebub took a deep breath and swung his axe once more at the charging Bloodhand Kahn.
Bam!
The terrifying impact tore through Beelzebub’s chest, and he spat out a mouthful of blood as his body was sent flying.
He crashed heavily to the ground, his head spinning, his vision blurred, and his heart filled with unwillingness:
“Is it always like this?”
“Am I doomed to fail?”
Unspeakable rage surged through Beelzebub’s mind.
An indescribable force rose from within his body.
He roared in fury, struggling to his feet, dragging his bloodied axe, standing once more in front of Bloodhand Kahn.
Bam!
Before he could strike, his body was flung away again, crashing to the grouhe tents.
Anger alone could not create miracles!
The berserk Bloodhand Kahn, his twisted hooves thundering forward, was about t his axe down on the fallen Beelzebub.
The surrounding soldiers saw this and trembled in fear.
The armored barbarian soldiers prepared to rush forward.
But monster knights emerging from the breach held them at bay.
As Bloodhand Kahn closed in on Beelzebub, Adam Smith, sword in hand, desperately charged forward.
Beelzebub tinued coughing up blood, feeling his strength slipping away, his pupils diting.
Just as despair overcame him, a voice ced with a hint of amusemeered his ears.
"Well done, now rest."
As the words fell, a refreshing cool energy enveloped Beelzebub, stabilizing his injuries.
The st thing Beelzebub saw before he lost sciousness,
Was a dark green are light nding on Bloodhand Kahn, immediately weakening his terrifying aura.
A red light shot out.
With a loud boom, the breach was engulfed, and the monster knights were swallowed by the explosion.
A familiar cloaked figure appeared before him.
A look of astonishment fshed in Beelzebub’s eyes before he passed out.
Rubbing his slightly sore neck, Matthew watched the rampaging Bloodhand Kahn approad said to Yaya, who was ready to strike:
"He’s yours!"
The sed-circle spell, Enfeeblement, had already taken effect, temporarily redug Bloodhand Kahn’s strength by 3 points, making him vulnerable to Yaya.
In his current state, Bloodhand Kahn possessed strength and bat prowess but cked any form of intelligence.
He erfect pung bag and oppo, ideal for Yaya to gain experience!
The graceful Yaya lifted her head, showing no fear against the hulking Bloodhand Kahn. She darted forward with lightning speed.
Bloodhand Kahn instinctively swung his massive axe at the charging Yaya.
A strange hunger—gluttony—rose in his mind.
“Eat…!”
Bam!
The axe missed, carving a deep gash in the ground.
Yaya gracefully veered in midair, dodging the blow and speeding towards Bloodhand Kahn’s back, sinkieeth into him.
ch!
Yaya ripped away a rge k of flesh, and as Bloodhand Kahn howled in pain and attempted to retaliate, she fpped her wings and soared into the sky, diving again.
Bam!
The impact staggered Bloodhand Kahn, f him to take two steps back.
He swung his axe wildly, but he couldn’t nd a hit on the agile Yaya.
What had given him an advantage before—his massive size—was now his downfall.
With her agility now at 17 points, and her bat prowess further enhanced by her bloodline,
Yaya’s already impressive close-bat abilities had growronger.
If Bloodhand Kahn had any sense left, he would’ve been frustrated.
His "Fear Aura," orump card, had no effe Yaya.
And the draic presence Yaya exuded slowed his movements even further.
Nearly all his attacks failed to reach Yaya.
No matter how powerful his attacks, they were useless if they couldn’t hit the target!
The safety provided by Matthew’s illusion allowed Yaya to experiment freely with attacks, gaining bat experie an astonishing rate.
Her teeth became sharper, and her body grew stronger.
The memories in her bloodline merged with her bat experience. Under Matthew’s amazed gaze, Yaya even gained a new specialty:
"Intermediate Specialty - bat Mastery, +2 to close bat rea, +2 to attack, +2 to defense."
Indeed, bat was the best medie frowth.
With the illusion to protect her, Yaya would soon see even more battle opportunities.
Soon, Yaya discovered another weakness of Bloodhand Kahn: his already crippled hind leg.
As Bloodhand Kahn swung his axe to turn,
Yaya, who had been in front of him, vanished from sight in a fsh of her bck ring,
And reappeared silently behind him.
ch!
Her sharp teeth bit through the thiee joint of his horse-like leg.
Bloodhand Kahn staggered, his bulky form being even more unstable.
Clever Yaya had unknowingly lured Bloodhand Kahn back to the brea the walls.
Only then did the soldiers finally notice the figure of Matthew emerging from the swarm of monsters.
"The Arist is unharmed?"
"How is that possible!"
"I clearly saw him…"
"I get it! That was just the Arist’s illusion magic!"
"Think about it, didn’t the Arist ehe tent earlier and then e out again…"
"Oh… And after that, he didn’t cast any more spells…"
"That’s right! This is the wisdom of the Arist!"
"The Arist fooled that monster and us too…"
"Idiot! If we weren’t fooled, how could it have worked on him?"
"..."
