As the train glided smoothly through the tuhe rhythmic cttering of its wheels against uracks slowly faded into the background. Harry, Luna, Daphne, and Valeria settled into their seats, the luxurious crimson light casting a warm glow across their faces. The air ihe felt oddly still, as if suspended between two worlds.
Luna, gazing dreamily out the window, blinked slowly. “It’s starting,” she whispered, her voice barely audible over the soft hum of the train’s engine.
Harry leaned closer to the window, his breath catg in his throat. The walls of the stone passageway outside began to , shimmering like liquid gss. As the light flickered a, the tunnel vanished entirely, repced by an endless expanse of swirling, multicolored mist that moved like the flow of a ic river.
“Wele to the Dimensional Gap," Luna said with a soft smile, her voice full of nostalgia. "It has been a while since I’ve been here.”
Harry looked at her in surprise. “You’ve been here before?”
Luna’s eyes remained fixed on the shifting colors outside, her smile never fading. “Yes, many times, though not always by train. The Dimensional Gap is where the boundaries betweeies blur. Time and space are... different here.”
Daphne, seated across from them, g Luna with a raised eyebrow. “I shouldn’t be surprised you’ve been here before. The Gap is... strange, even by devil standards.”
Harry shifted uneasily in his seat, watg the swirling mist beyond the gss. “It feels... like it’s alive.”
Luna nodded. “In a way, it is. The Gap ects all worlds, and in doing so, it touches the energies of every reality. You could say it has a sciousness of its own, for if you stare into the void it might stare back.”
Daphne crossed her arms, lookiween Luna and the shifting void beyond the window. "She’s right, but don’t let it spook you too much. The train’s entments keep us hidden. As long as we stay inside, we’re safe." Her tone was reassuring, but there was a hint of caution in her voice.
Harry hough he couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. It was as if the mist was waiting, almost expet. “And people actually travel through here regurly?”
Luna trailed off, her gaze shifting to a distant point beyond the swirling mists of the Dimensional Gap. Her eyes narrowed, as if she were fog on something far away yet intimately familiar.
“I feel Equestria off in that dire,” she tinued, her voice soft but certain. “It’s faint, but its magic resonates here, like a distant star. And if I’m not mistaken…” She paused, her expression growing even more distant as though sensing something deeper, more elusive. “The magic of Harmony is proteg it, keeping it sealed away.”
Harry raised an eyebrow. “Sealed away? Like you still ’t go back?”
Luna nodded slowly, her firag the densation on the gss. “Yes, Harmony’s magic keeps it locked away from me... for now. But through the Gap, I still se. It’s a e that ever be fully severed.”
Daphne listened in silence, her arms still crossed, clearly fasated. “You’re ected to your world through this pce?”
Luna turiving a small smile. “In a way, yes. The Dimensional Gap touches every reality, even ones we ’t perceive. But Equestria is a bit of an anomaly, locked by Harmony’s will. I feel it, but reag it is another matter.”
Harry gnced back out the window, where the swirling colors of the Gap seemed to twist and fold in on themselves. "So, Equestria's just... out there? Somewhere in all this?"
"...and tless other dimensions we barely prehend," Luna tinued, her voice filled with a sense of wonder. "Everything is ected through the Dimensional Gap. Earth, the Underworld, Heaven, Asgard, Equestria... they're all out there, somewhere, all part of this vast, interected web of realities. It is all part of the local multiversal cluster, although they are all really really close to one another even over p in some pces.”
Daphne leaned forward, studying Luna curiously. "You know an awful lot about the Gap for someone who’s never lived in the Underworld," she remarked, a slight grin tugging at her lips.
Luna, still gazing out at the swirling colors, shrugged with a small, knowing smile. "I’ve always had a way of... uanding things others don’t.”
Before Luna could reply, the train suddenly lurched to the side, making everyone grip their seats for support. The entire car rattled for a moment as if they had crossed a threshold into something far more stable and solid. The swirling mist of the Dimensional Gap outside vanished, repced by fake clear skies and a breathtaking ndscape below. There was no moon above, this realm broke the ws of physics.
“We’ve arrived,” Daphne announced, gng out of the window. The train was now s above an expansive realm, vast fields, forests, and mountains stretg out beh them.
Harry pressed his face to the gss, his eyes wide. “Is this...?”
“Crocell Territory,” Daphne answered with pride. "Wele to my home."
The train glided smoothly through the air, a stunning view of the vast, majestid below. Castles dotted the horizon, and a dark, ominous fortress could be seen in the distance, surrounded by lush forests and rivers that sparkled uhe pale light of the underworld's sky.
Valeria, who had been silent for most of the ride, smiled faintly. “It’s been a while since I’ve seen it from this height.”
Luna’s eyes sparkled with fasation as she took in the ndscape
“I am sure its color is nothing in parison to Equestri-”It is not,”” Luna states cutting Daphne off.
Daphne blinked, momentarily thrown off by Luna's blunt interruption. A smirk tugged at her lips, though, as she took it in stride. “Well, I appreciate the hoy,” she replied, gng back out at the surreal beauty of the Crocell Territory. “But this pce has its own charm.”
Luna tio gaze out of the window, her eyes dista focused, as though she were peering into something far beyond the view. “It’s beautiful, but it cks... life. There’s something missing.”
Harry looked at her, intrigued. “What do you mean?”
Luna tilted her head, her expression thoughtful. “Equestria has a magic that flows through everything—like the nd itself breathes. Here, it’s different. The nd feels still, quiet, like a painting rather than a living world.”
Daphne folded her arms, leaning ba her seat. “That’s the nature of the Underworld. It doesn’t ge much. The nd here is eternal, unging unless directly altered by magic.”
Harry took a deep breath, still marveling at the ndscape below. “It’s strange. Simir to hell yet much friendlier.”
“What do you mean HELL!” Daphne suddenly shouts
“I told you I was the doomsyer.” Harry states
“I thought you were joking!” Daphne's eyes widened, her earlier posure vanishing as she stared at Harry. "Wait, you’re serious? You—the Doomsyer?"
Harry shrugged, an awkward grin on his face. "Well... sort of. It was a long, weird story involving demons, a lot of fire, and some... let's just say very angry decisions on my part."
Daphne’s mouth opened and closed a few times, at a plete loss for words. She gnced over at Valeria, who was just as stunned but mao hold her posure. "You mean to tell me you’ve—you—have been to Hell and bad didn’t think it was worth mentioning?"
Harry just shrugs in response as the train begins to lurch to a stop.
“What is the doom syer?” Luna asks
“Its fairytale,” Daphates
Luna shot back with a sly grin, "Oh yeah? Alot of those are true you know."
Daphne rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath, "Oh my Maou."
Harry followed Daphne off the train, his boots eg on the cold stone floor. As they stepped
out into the Underworld, he gazed around in awe.
The group stood frozen for a moment, taking in their surroundings. Harry's voice broke the silence, "So... this is the Underworld," he said, his words carrying slightly through the quiet air
.
Luna couldn't tain her amusement anymore and burst out ughing. The others looked at her with serious faces, but she just shrugged it off. After all, when you'd lived as long as she had, you learo stop taking things so seriously - especially after spending most of your life in isotion.
Daphne shot Luna a stern look, "It's not funny."
But Luna was uerred, still chug and smiling at Harry. "I mean, e on... he's just Harry, my husband and your betrothed. Still the same old dork as always," she teased with a grin.
Harry's eyes widened in mock offense, his hand flying to his chest like a shield. "Hey, Emotional Damage!" he excimed, trying to sound indignant but clearly amused.
Lu out a whoop of excitement at Harry's rea, shouting over the silence, "Oh my Luna, you know memes!"
For a moment, everyone just stared at each other in shock at Luna’s Lunacy - including Harry himself, as if suddenly realizing that yes, indeed, he was still the same old dork.
“What are meme’s?” Daphne asks as Luna internally cheers at the versation derailment.
