I scratch your back, You scratch mine

So apparently, I was pulled out a river by a bagon. And now it’s staring at me intensely. In fact, it’s looking a bit too hungry for my liking. So as any sensible person would do in my situation, I tried to avoid death.

“Uh, buddy? I know you’re hungry right now, but if you let me live, I’ll help you fly.” Bagon suddenly looked very…. not hungry. That’s the best I can judge his facial expression. Other than the fact that I have to impress him now.

“Alright, here me out, you need to train- Hey! Don’t give me that look like I’m a idiot! I have some ideas to get you stronger. But before we do that, we need food. Preferably cooked.” Bagon eyed me suspiciously before seemingly going with my idea.

Walking back to the edge of the river I was pulled out of, I sit down and take my shoe off. “Come here, we need bait to catch some food, and the best bait available is my blood for now. Bite my foot, try to keep it gentle.” Bagon did as such, but it hurt like hell, must be his hunger.

Dropping my foot into the water, Bagon and I wait for a bite. “So while we wait, let’s talk a bit. I’m a human, you’re a Pokémon, and we need to survive. So, for now, How about I be your trainer. I’ll help you fly, and you’ll help me get around when I need to. Sound like a deal?” I hash out, only to gain an immediate response.

“Rrrr. Ba..gon” Well, that was the first time I got a verbal response from him, and it sounds like a yes. “Alright, to get the obvious out the way, my name is Ale-“ Alex, is what I would have said if you were wondering, but unfortunately, I seem to have experienced a flashback.

  (POV: ???)

“WHERE THE HELL AM I AND WHY AM-“ I let out a sigh, humans are troublesome to deal with. “Silence, Alex. You may know me as Arceus. I have decided to let you into my world. However, I will give you one gift. What do you desire?” There we are, straight to the point. Now I just need to grant his wish and send him away.

“ARCEUS?! Like I’ll believe that, I’d sooner believe that my birth name was Tyrian than this bullcrap.” I let out another sigh. Humans are so hard to work with. There’s a reason why the chosen one is who he is. So easy to work with.

“Take a look at me. Analyze the situation. Tell me what you want.” I let out, hoping to get this over with. “OH, THAT’S ALL YOU- …. oh. FIRST I GET STABBED TO DEATH, THEN I GET SUMMONED BY ARCEUS. *sigh* Can I please get some air so I can breath and thi-“ Air to breathe? What does he even- oh he wants an affinity with flying types.

Why can’t humans be straight forward. Oh well, he’s gone now. Now I wonder how my daughter is doing right now. Is she still in that tree?

  (Flashback end, POV: Tyrian)

That’s what happened! The next time I see Arceus, he’s going down in a battle. Now how do I beat Arceus? There was that video by the poketheory dude. What did he say again. Gravity and a strong pokémon that can use Earthquake. Salamence is pretty good so that’s the-

My thought process is interrupted by something flying out the water towards me. “Now!” I shout, earring a grunt from Bagon as he jumps and intercepts what I now Identify as a Magikarp. The Magikarp, which now that I see it, is looking especially juicy.

Bagon brings back a dead Magikarp in his jaws, looking at me for approval? Why did his mood swing so quickly? “Uh, dude, you okay? Your mood changed real fast.” I asked, only to get a glare. Guess that this dude is actually a girl.

“My bad, didn’t know you were a girl. I’m gonna call you Amazon from now on. It means strong woman. You can call me Tyrian.” I quickly state, gaining an affectionate grin. Good, She’s in a good mood, makes things easier. Now to cook that delicious Magikarp
