I have a good friend who is a snake. My snake friend is insatiably curious about everything. This curiosity of his often puts him in danger so I follow him everywhere so that I can be there to keep him from getting hurt. All this following him around means that I also wind up learning things alongside him, including knowledge that is dangerous or forbidden. Many of the things I learn in the process of trying to keep my snake friend safe frighten me and make me wish I could go back to not knowing. Danger is easier to face on a full stomach though, and apples make for a healthy and portable snack.
