Chapter 6 – Dreams and Nightmares Part 2

Satoru followed the golden thread in search of Yuta. Looking with his six eyes and reaching to the conclusion that it was the work of more than a special grade curse. This space had some aspects of a domain without a barrier. However, it also created a complete whole additional space that was not part of the space-time of the reality Satoru knew until that day.

Everything around aside from the golden thread was in dark. Satoru could see with his six eyes the dark, frozen fog all around. The fog was alive everywhere, and it was heavily intoxicated, a mixture of poisons that he could withstand thanks to his limitless technique. He thought Yuta may be in serious trouble because of this fog. Yuta could suffocate faster than him in such a vast space.

Satoru took a gamble and followed the thread the fastest he could until finding its origin and Yuta. He followed the thread, running alongside it for about 200 km nonstop. He felt more than concerned about Yuta. So, he took another 200 km run, yet Satoru found nothing, and the golden thread became thicker and thicker.

Satoru run and run another 700 km until finally arrived at what he believed was the center of that space, which shape was unknown. There, he found things were more complicated than he thought when he left Este at the hospital. A human size cocoon shaped by thousands of golden threads seemed to be alive and had a colossal web that expanded and vibrate like it was alive.

He realized it was imperative to find Yuta as soon as possible and leave the pce at once. He thought of using his domain expansion infinite void once he found Yuta, but he couldn’t do that. After finding Yuta, the primary goal was going to be freeing Este from the thread.

Baku’s whereabouts were unknown yet. Satoru couldn’t determine what was inside that mysterious cocoon. On his way back, he ran going on spiral to inspect the whole web from the center towards the outside. Satoru ran over 3.799.400 km2; Yuta was nowhere to be seen in that vast space.

Exhausted from running, Satoru wanted to go back to Este, but he couldn’t find the exit, even when he kept following the thread. I should go directly to the center again and find out what is inside that cocoon. Damn, Yuta, you really are in trouble now. I can’t go back to Este, what means it’s a space that is constantly changing. Now, I hope to find the cocoon again soon.

He went back to the cocoon more exhausted than before; the cocoon was bigger and continued to grow. One whole week passed for Satoru inside that space, and outside it was a month.

Este disappeared from the hospital and people there didn’t know how that happened. There were no traces of cursed energy. Jujutsu High didn’t find out about Este, but they could determine special grade sorcerers Yuta Okkotsu and Satoru Gojo were missing.

The hydrangea pnt disappeared along with Este and Jujutsu High didn’t know how to expin all the phenomena that occur at the hospital.

  Inside Este’s dreams

Este followed a golden path that was almost straight, then she arrived at a garden as big as the dream she had created to live in the dream realm. All the way there, she didn’t do more than being worried about Yuta and Satoru. Not understanding how she was taken away from Satoru. That worry made Satoru wanted to go back to her.

In the garden, she continued to wonder around, noticing that there all pnts were different. Este felt like she was looking for something or someone, but she didn’t remember what or who was that. Touching the pnts, smelling their flowers, observing their leaves, branches and steams.

The vivid green color of the grass and the moss, the vibrant colors of flowers that turned towards her, wanted to remind her of past long-lost memories. Happy times with someone she loves so much and who loved her more than his own father ever could. Memories that were banished from her memory by being repced for others darker and hurtful.

“Este, Este, Este…” a faraway voice called her.

  “Who is there?”

“Don’t you remember me?” The voice said.

“I know I heard this voice before, but I can’t remember who you are.”

“I’m Baku, my little Este.” Baku’s voice echoed.

“Uncle Baku, where are you? I can hear you, but I can’t see you.”

“I’m here, I’m everywhere and soon I’m going to be with you forever.”

  “Let me see you, please!”

“You’re seeing me already. I’m everywhere in this dream.”

“How is it possible for me to be here? Where are Yuta and Satoru?” Este asked with hurry.

“Yuta Okkotsu is here too… as for Satoru Gojo, he’s trapped in another space-time outside this dream, and he will never reach you here.”

  “Why am I here?”

“I’m sorry everything happened too fast, and I didn’t have time to tell you anything.”

“Baku, answer my question.” Este said, annoyed.

Este found a ke with a few meters' shore. She walked along this while she continued speaking with Baku.

“You’re here because there is a special gift I have for you. However, Okkotsu-kun was in the way. So, now he’s part of the gift as well.”

“What do you mean by he was in the way?”

“This gift of mine is just for you. However, I have seen that boy’s potential, and it’s very convenient he was with you.”

“What did you do to Yuta? Is he ok? I want to see him right now.” Este’s desperation was growing as she felt trapped in something she didn’t know.

“You can find Okkotsu-kun easily if you keep walking on the golden path you were walking before you reached this ke.”

Este hurried back to the golden path, and she ran faster and faster. She ran for many kilometers and then exhausted stopped to rest for some minutes. Then she kept running. She ran until she felt so exhausted that colpse on the path unconscious for twelve hours.

  Inside Yuta’s dreams

The moment Yuta went inside the hydrangea pnt, he detected there was more than a curse in the pce. The air, heavily intoxicated by the mixed poisons, affected him in less than half an hour, even with Rika’s protection. He couldn’t withstand the effect of the poisonous air.

Yuta fell asleep and entered to Baku’s garden space. There he awoke after an hour of sleep. He found himself completely naked except for his ring and his katana. He had no clothes on him. He didn’t give too much thought to it as he believe the garden wasn’t real and it was just a dream.

What bothered Yuta was the feeling of being stalked by a thousand eyes. He kept feeling it was not just that he was physically naked. Inside his head, he felt there was something or someone looking closely at him. This sense of outside scrutiny led him to think he was not alone in that garden.

He walked around while yelling, “Hello, is somebody there? You can come out here. I want to talk to you.” Yuta yelled this many times until his throat was badly hurt. To speak with someone, he used Inumaki’s cursed speech “Who is there? Answer me right now!” It was another fruitless attempt to get an answer.

Almost without his voice, he stopped yelling and focused his energy on finding a way out of there. Wondering around, he discovered himself trapped in a restricted extension of space. A barrier was in pce around a radio of 25 meters. Inside this small space, he had a view of the sea, a beach and a tropical ndscape with palm trees and vegetation found typically close to the coast.

Tired of everything, Yuta id down on the beach, letting his whole body expose to the sun until he fell asleep. Yuta slept for twelve hours.

Some time, between their sleeping hours.

Este was moved from the pce she fell asleep on the golden path, to the restricted space Yuta was. Baku did Este’s body naked and put it close enough to Yuta so that their bodies touched. As it’s expected, they exchanged all their memories. Yuta gained all the information from Este and Este gained all the information from Yuta.

Everything that happened between Satoru and Este was going to be known by Yuta, as well as Este’s whole life. However, memories from Este’s mother and Satoru were not shared. Yuta’s brain could not assimite such an immense mass of information. Thus, Baku wanted him to have Este’s memories only, and the connection that it implied.

They continued sleeping. While outside this dream space, Satoru was trying to figure out what was being protected by the golden thread that cover the inside of the cocoon. He felt a terrible headache. He determined was caused by the constant use of reverse cursed technique and an exhausted limitless technique.

Satoru couldn’t be more wrong about the true cause of his headache. It was Este’s headache from receiving Yuta’s memories.

Satoru went back to wonder around, and he ran again, going on spiral to inspect the whole web from the center towards the outside and back. He noticed the web expanded more in the time he rested and while he ran. Satoru went back to the center and discovered the cocoon grew, tripling its size.

I should do something soon. I just wonder what is inside that cocoon. I just can see it with Este’s gsses, and I can sense a tiny portion of cursed energy emanating from it. I don’t feel any menacing or dangerous intention coming from it. Satoru stopped to rest while assessing again the situation, another week passed outside this space.

Something like three quarters of an hour passed. Satoru was preparing to eliminate the web using blue. When the cocoon started to change and separated itself from the web. The thousand threads started to separate and reveal what was contained inside the cocoon.

The dream in which Este and Yuta were, vanished slowly until they were in sight of Satoru. The thousand threads separated revealing Este’s and Yuta’s naked bodies. While Yuta’s body fell to Satoru’s feet. Este’s body was being torn apart to an atomic level while absorbing all the golden threads and the web.

What is happening to Este? Is she going to die now? Her body is disappearing so fast. This can’t be happening. I should do something. Satoru lost his cool and felt a deep sadness, tears when out of his eyes, while he discovered he could do nothing for Este. He tried to reach her body first, and it didn’t work. Then, he tried to use blue to contain the body and avoid its atomic disintegration, it didn’t work either.

He didn’t resign to the idea of losing Este. He kept trying to reach her until her body was completely disintegrated and absorbed by the golden thread and web. He cried, he screamed, and he took Yuta close to him as he disposed to use his domain for expansion. Yuta woke up and saw a Gojo-sensei out of himself in tears.

“Gojo-sensei don’t-–don’t use your domain expansion. You can–can kill Yumesaki-san.” Yuta muttered, wanted to yell at Satoru.

“Yuta, do you know what is happening to Este?” Satoru asked, while cleaning his face and avoiding Yuta’s gaze.

“Gojo-sensei someone or something–is embedding a power–or something like that into Yumesaki’s body.” Yuta fell unconscious again after saying this.

“Yuta, Yuta, it’s not the moment for you to pass out again.” Satoru shook him while saying this.

Satoru decided to keep observing what was happening to Este.

Once the golden threads were completely gone. Este’s body started to be shaped again, atom by atom, cell by cell, organ by organ. He kept watching impatiently until Este’s womb was in pce. He saw something to be put inside her womb, two tiny fetuses. He couldn’t say how many months they were in that moment.

Satoru’s six eyes looked at something even deeper. One of them possessed cursed energy, a boy, while the other had zero cursed energy, a girl. Fraternal twins, they are mine. I’m sure they are. Este couldn’t share something like we did with any other person. It was a month ago, but they look too big to be just one month.

Este’s body took 1100 seconds to be reshaped. Satoru waited impatiently all that time until he could have Este in his arms. He carefully took off his jacket and cover her body with it. He moved Yuta close to him and hold Este in his left arm, helping himself with his limitless technique. Then, he used his right-hand seal to invoke his domain expansion.

  “Domain Expansion Infinite Void.”

In a matter of seconds, that dark, icy, and foggy space was completely gone. Infinite Void overpowered all the cursed energy at the pce.

Satoru, Yuta and Este went back to the hospital. Satoru didn’t want anyone reted to jujutsu to know about Este’s existence in his life. He wanted to protect her from being targeted and hunted like an animal. Not knowing what else to do or who could help him to keep her safe. He did something desperate.

“Madarajin, Madarajin, I know you’re there. I’m calling you in the name of Este Yumesaki, your only daughter.” Satoru said it like an invocation with a calm voice.

He didn’t wait too long. Five seconds ter, Madarajin appeared before him.

“Satoru Gojo, what are you doing with my daughter in your arms?” He noticed something familiar within Este. “I need you three to come with me to the dream realm now.”

“Okey, but first can you tell me what happened to Este? I know for your attitude just now. You know something.”

“She’s pregnant with your children and there is something more to it. I can tell you more, but you need to come with me now.”

“What about Yuta? Can I take him with us too?” Satoru asked.

“I don’t know why you are asking me. Okkotsu Yuta can come and go to the dream realm as he pleases. The same as you do.”

“Huh… what are you talking about?”

“I think Este gave him a part of her. So, he can clearly come with us.”

“Okey, I’m not understanding all that is happening or what happened before to Este… It seems you know better than me, Madarajin.”

“Let’s hurry to the dream. We need to have a long chat about everything you three went through.”

Madarajin opened the gate of dreams, and they arrived directly at Este’s home.

  Author’s Notes

I will expin just in case it’s unclear to someone about this chapter’s math.

Satoru first ran 1100 km to the center of the space inside the hydrangea pnt. You can assume he went in a straight line towards the center. These 1100 km are the radius of a circur space. So, the total area that he first ran in spiral is 3.799.400 km2.

  Because A= π *r2

  Thus, A= 3.14*1.210.000km2 = 3.799.400 km2.

However, this number is just an approximation as this was a space in constant change as Satoru thought.
