After a half our of walking i reach the city gates and notice that a group is engaging with some wolf

  magical beasts, from what I can tell it’s a pack of ice wolves led by a mature common beast, there

  are roughly 20 wolves in the pack and yet there are only 5 mages engaging behind a row of 10

  knights... Also why the hell are these morons using magic circles to cast, the wolves almost have

  them surrounded, I try to inch closer whole making as little noise as possible as I can’t jostled this

  group get wiped out, after all I could see Knight corpses littered on the ground with only like 5 dead

  wolves and like 2 notably injured ones, meanwhile the knights looked to be on their last breaths and

  only the female mage at the back of the grp was casting anything, the others are out of mana

  somehow.

  After getting to a certain distance I charge up a ball of Mythril energy and hardened it into metal, I

  then separated it into 10 pieces and formed spikes out of them, I launched the spikes at the wolf

  pack killing three of them and forcing the rest to retreat, not that my aim was of but too much

  attention was not necessary, to sell my little act I had a plain magic circle out. The other two wolves I

  simmered down because of the poisonous nature of Mythril to magic beasts. I closedown on the

  pack rapidly with sword drawn but I wasn’t using mana techniques yet, a slashed once and left a trail

  of ice which shot out at one of the injured wolves decapitation it, i roll and send two more ice

  slashes killing another wolf with each one then stopped Infront of the knights, I stabbed my blade

  into the ground and sent a shock wave of Mythril at the wolf pack knocking them back again, I

  removed my blade and enhanced my body with mana, I then rushed at the wolves and swiftly

  beheaded four more of them leaving the last three wolves and the pack Alpha which seemed to back

  of while circling me to assess my strength, I’d peg that one to be at the strength of a half step

  intermediate mage in terms of magic, but is physically strong enough to kill an advanced mage.

  I readjust my stance and take a step closer to the group I’m protecting with my mana enhancement

  active, If I slip up here more of the knights will die meaningless. “All of you keep your guards up, I

  need on of you magic to form some sort of protective barrier around the lot of you!!”, I order the

  group. “The hell are you?! This is my unit and they will do as I s", I don’t even have time for this,

  “Shut the hell up and do as I say!!!”, I cut him off and Channel mythril through my sword, I take a

  stance and rush at the smaller wolves, the Alpha noticed this a fired it’s ice breath at me, I fuse my

  mana enhancement with my mythril enhancement and slash at the wave of ice dividing it around me

  making it miss the party that was initially engaging. As soon as the wave stopped the Alpha rushed

  past me and towards the party, it seemed to be building up yet another ice breath attack so I used

  my mana technique vanishing steps to rush beside the wolf almost instantly and slash it's throat, the

  beast managed to dodge my slash and struck me in in the abdomen with it’s hind legs and sent me

  flying, luckily I always have my mana barrier active else that would have been fatal, I skid and crash

  over 10 yards before forcing myself to stop by stabbing my sword into the ground, without taking a

  second to breathe i send out two mythril slashes at the Alpha from a distance and then rush at the

  lesser wolves with Vanishing steps, I decapitate them and spin to send a magic slash infused with

  both ice and Mythril, the wolf seemed to have dodged the first two but my last magic slash landed

  and even left a deep gash in it’s hide.

  I momentarily glanced attend group just for the wolf to appear before me and bite down on my face,

  an attack i blocked with my sword and enhanced my balance with mana, this bastard just copied my

  Vanishing steps. “How’s that damn barrier coming along?!”, I yell as the wolf’s attack sent me

  skidding back and I rush at it using a more advanced version of Vanishing steps being vantage lord’s

  dance, rather than just blitzing to one location now I can alter my direction and move as though I

  was actually running even allowing me to sharply change directions off of surfaces rather than

  stopping. I blitz in a zig-zag pattern and slash the Alpha’s left hind leg, I then sharply slid under the Alpha slashing it’s torso diagonally, the i jumped and spun attempting to take it’s head off but it

  blitzed backwards, changed direction and blitzed at me ramming its head into my torso full force,

  the blow send me flying off as I puked a small puddle of blood mid flight before crash landing

  25yards off, I’m pretty sure I cracked my ribs just then.

  I look over and notice there is finally a metal barrier around the group in a spiral cone shape, I sigh in

  relief and stumble to my feet to face the enemy before me, as far as I can tell direct ice attacks can

  do damage but they are going to lose effectiveness quickly, as a magic beast it has a natural knack

  for mana techniques meaning I can’t afford to let it live past today, since I can’t use my soul element

  yet I am stuck with my only powerful spell right now.

  I channel mana into my right arm brace and switch my sword over to that hand holding it in a

  reverse grip. I flood my body with pure mana and mythril enhancements building it up for multiple

  seconds as I slowly lowered my stance.

  Reader’s P.O.V

  Adam as battered as he looked now had a silver and pure white energy swirling around his body as

  his area slowly got more , he switched to a double handed grip on his sword and lifted the blade

  high above his head flexing his every muscle as he did so. Adam used Vanta lords dance and spun as

  he closed in forming a makeshift saw out of himself, Adam then stopped just above the Alpha’s head

  with his blade held high and slashed down with all of his might, a massive wave burst forth from his

  blade that went on for over 30 yards and shredded most of the wolf’s body into two, the slash itself

  left a small crater going across all thirty miles of the slash as the wolf’s body split in two.

  Adam’s P.O.V

  I landed and sheathed my blade after performing my ‘ True Mana: Mythril slash’ and sheathed my

  blade with an exhausted grin, as soon as my mana settled however, I felt a painful shock wave

  assault my body as I puked large amount of blood and collapsed to my side, shoot one last Mythril

  beam into the air as an SOS before I finally passed out, I just hope they don’t take anything I own.

  3 Hours Later

  Marlow public hospital

  Adam lay on the bed with only his mask and a hospital gown on, his storage ring and braces were

  put away with his armour in the closet his clothes were hung on the window bar and one of the

  knights of the party from earlier sat and watched over him. He stood at 6 foot 0, he had silver hair

  and looked to be in his mid 30's, his hair was in a high fade and mixed well with his well kept brown

  beard, he wore his armour and had his sword sheathed though he was resting Adam’s sword on his

  lap, He looked around the room with a frown and then rose to look out the window, he could see

  the mage party who were having a meeting in the hospital courtyard. “damn brats weren’t even

  thankful for this guys help, can’t believe they actually tried to loot him while he was down", he says

  with a look of distaste. “In that case do you want the sword??”, Adam asked as he got and began to

  change into his gear, once he was done it was just the sword left.

  Adam looked at the knight captains and asked again, “Do you want the sword or not??”, Adam asked

  this time in slight annoyance. “Uh y-y-yes, yes I do", The knight captains stammered.
