The instructions were as expected. Like the preceding generation, they would be sent to Earth to live out the rest of their lives.
It was also made crystal clear that they were not to interfere with human affairs, at all. The Guard’s vague threat was mysteriously forewarning: Any interaction with humans would result in punishment far worse than physical death.
