Chapter 86: Reason to fight

Mystimona stood before the group. His pierg purple eyes sed each member with curiosity. The headmaster's sinister grin remained. She seemed eager to see how this would py out.

Kintovar stepped forward, her b coat flowing around. Her e hair cascaded down her back, and her gaze met Mystimona's. She spoke with pride.

"Allow me to introduce myself," Kintan on a high note. "I am Dr. Kintovar, a stist who created these beings you see before you. Roselle, Risebelle, and Runebelle are my creations, and they are here to fulfill a mission."

Mystimona's eyes narrowed with intrigue as he heard the name "Roselle." He thought to himself. ‘Roselle… how familiar..’

Kintovar tinued, "Our mission is to overthrow the Magical Academy, an institution that has systematically killed people with little to no magical powers. It's a corrupt anization that o be dismantled, and we are determi it down."

Mystimona couldn't help but be curious. She was unlike any person he had expected. The headmaster's maniacal ughter had led him to believe this would be a straightforward battle, but now, there was a yer of plexity he hadn't anticipated.

Mystimona's curiosity got the better of him, and he questioned, "The Magical Academy has its reasons for maintaining its trol. What drives you to stand against it so vehemently?"

Kintovar's eyes bore into Mystimona’s. She responded. "The Magical Academy's reasons do not justify the tless lives it has taken. The eradication of those with little magical power is a grave injustice, and I refuse to stand idly by while such cruelty persists."

Haras, standing beside Kintovar, chimed in, "We believe in a world where everyone, regardless of their magical ability, should have a ce to live and thrive. The Magical Academy's as go against everythiand for."

Mystimona's gaze shifted between Kintovar and Haras, his curiosity piqued further. The name "Roselle" still echoed in his mind.

"Tell me more about Roselle," Mystimona demanded, his eyes log onto Kintovar's. "Why is she so signifit to your cause?"

Kintovar exged a knowing gh Haras before deg to reveal more about Roselle. She spoke with a sense of vi, "Roselle is not just any creation; she is the key to our mission's success. She possesses unique abilities and potential that make her a formidable force against the Magical Academy's tyranny."

Haras added, "She's not just a on. She’s one of our lovely children who have developed her own thoughts aions, a bination of both magid teology!"

Mystimona's i deepened as he listeo their words. The name "Roselle" tio nag at the ers of his memory, and he couldn't ighe feeling that there was more to this story.

"Why does the name 'Roselle' sound so familiar to me?" Mystimona mused aloud, his eyes locked onto Kintovar's as if searg for answers.

Kintovar raised an eyebrow, her curiosity matg Mystimona's as she asked, "Does the name Roselle hold a significe for you? It's not a on name. I'm intrigued by your rea."

Mystimoated for a moment, a cloud of uainty passing over his features. Finally, he fessed, "I 't quite put my finger on it, but something about that name...it feels like a memory I 't quite reach."

"It's possible that you've heard the name before," Kintgested. "Perhaps there's a reason it resonates with you.”

Suddenly, Roselle stepped forward. Her appearance was different from what Mystimona had expected. Her long, flowing yellow hair and i blue eyes were normal to them but something about her seemed altered. Yet, as their eyes met, a spark nition flickered in Mystimona's gaze, a feeling that defied logic.

"Roselle," Mystimona murmured, "I know I've seen your faewhere before, but it doesn't make sense. Who are you?"

"I am Roselle, the creation of Dr. Kintovar and Dr. Haras. I don’t remember ever meeting you, Mystimona." Her words held ion, only hoy.

Mystimona's genuine curiosity and ued approach had created a sense of wonder among the group. He straightened up from his versation with Roselle with his eyes now shifting to Risebelle.

With the same curiosity he had shown to Roselle, Mystimona turned his attention to Risebelle. "And what about you? You must be.... Risebelle, right? What drives you in this mission, and what do you enjoy?"

Risebelle met Mystimona's gaze with a burning iy in her eyes. "I hate humans," Risebelle decred without aation. "I hate them for all the suffering they've caused, for the pain they've inflicted on me. I am sick of the human rad what they stand for. That's why I've eliminated so many mages, to rid the world of this garbage that’s ied it. "

Mystimona's remained surprisingly calm and posed as he listeo Risebelle's words. He didn't interrupt her, allowing her freedom to state her feelings and experiences.

Risebelle tinued, her gaze unwavering, "But over time, things ged. I've learo care about my sisters, about Kintovar and Haras … I may still hold my hatred, but it's not the only thing that drives me anymore."

Mystimona nodded in uanding, his eyes showing no judgment.

"It's clear that your journey has been marked by both pain and transformation," Mystimona aowledged,” Life is rarely just bd white. Hatred may have given you strength, but something else is what gives you motivation other than ye. It's a difficult path, but it's one worth walking."

While versation tinued between Mystimona and Risebelle, the headmaster's patience wore thin. Her initial excitement at Mystimona's arrival had given way to frustration. She could sehe potential for a shift in the dynamics of the battle, and she wasn't pleased with it.

With an irritated scowl, the headmaster couldn't tain her anger any longer. She barked, "Enough of this nonsense! Mystimona, we don't have time for idle chatter. Deal with them and be doh it!"

Mystimona turo the headmaster with a cold, pierg gre. His purple eyes locked onto hers, and without saying a word, he silenced her with his iy. The headmaster fell silent, her anger suppressed uhe weight of Mystimona's gaze.

Without further hesitation, Mystimona moved on to Sybil, who had been watg the exge with fear and awe. Her trembling body seemed to shrink even further as Mystimona approached.

He remained calm but carried an air of authority as he addressed Sybil, "And what about you? Sybil, was it? You're a mage, but yic is siderably low What role do you py in all of this?"

Sybil swallowed her fear and mustered the ce to speak. "Y-yes, I'm Sybil. I...I used to be a student of the Magical Academy, but I left...because I couldn't bear to be part of an institution that sacrificed mages with low magic for their pns."

Mystimona's eyes remained focused on Sybil while she spoke. "I khey would have executed me and my friend, Becky, because ical powers were so low. So, we left, hoping to find help."

Sybil gnced over at Becky, who y unscious and rec nearby. She khat they had taken a signifit risk ing to Kintovar, but it was a risk they were willing to take.

"Dr. Kintovar didn't kill us," Sybil added,"Instead, she gave us a purpose, a reason to keep fighting. We want to stop the Magical Academy ahe det to the city, but...after that, I don't know what we'll do."

Mystimona listened ily to Sybil's story. He nodded slowly, aowledging the difficult choices that she and Becky had faced.

"Leaving an institution like the Magical Academy takes ce," Mystimona said, "Your loyalty to Dr. Kintovar and your desire to make a difference speak volumes about you."

Ihe headmaster's mind, a whirlwind of thoughts aions swirled. She had been fident that her abilities would allow her to trol Mystimona, just as she had doh tless others in the past. Yet, something was amiss, and it g her like a persistent itch.

‘Why is he not obeying? I've used my magic to trol tless minds without fail, a... he resists. This is not the first time it's happehat's why I locked him away for so long.’

Inside her own mind, the headmaster wrestled with the ued defianystimona. She had thought that her prolonged efforts to trol him had finally succeeded. Her anger and frustration simmered beh the surface, hidden from the world.

As the headmaster pted the situation, a telepathic voice reached her, breaking through her thoughts. It was Elena, a presence she had sent back to the Magical Extractor.

‘Headmaster, it appears there's an issue with the e to the Magical Extractor. You should have an unending supply of magical power, but it seems something is disrupting it. Are you alright?’

The headmaster's remained posed, but inside, her frustration boiled over. She had ted on the Magical Extractor to maintain her trol over Mystimona and her powers, yet it was failing her.

‘This 't be happening! I hat magical power to maintain trol, to secure my pns! What is going wrong?’

Before she could respond to Elena, a sudden interruption severed the telepathik. It was an ued attack, and Elena's voice was repced by another.

"Swod Aliana?! Headmaster, Aliana's broken free of your aura pressure and found out what we've been up to!" the new voice excimed.

In the dimly lit passageway beh the Magical Academy, Aliana's frosty blue robes billowed around her as she moved with calcuted precision. Her icy swleamed in the dim light, ready for whatever challenges y ahead. She had just broken free from the headmaster's trol.

Without hesitation, Aliana charged forward, her swleaming with frosty energy. The mages guarding the secret passage were taken by surprise as she swiftly sshed through their magical defenses and froze their movements with precision. Gaiza followed suit, replig Aliana's Swod bde with her water-style: water bde teique.

In the midst of the battle, Gaiza couldn't help but admire Aliana's skill. She fought with an elegand precision that left no room for error

As the st of the mages fell to their bined onsught, Aliana couldn't help but vent her frustration. "Idiots, all of you," she muttered under her breath.

Gaiza approached Aliana with , "Princess Aliana, are you alright?" she asked, though she khe answer.

Aliana turo Gaiza, her icy exterior softening for a moment. "I'm fine, Gaiza," she replied with a small smile. "Thanks to you, I'm free from the headmaster's trol."

Gaiza couldn't help but blush at Aliana's words. She cleared her throat.

"It's my duty to assist you, Princess. Nothing more."

  Aliana raised an eyebrow,

"You've done more for me than just your duty, Gaiza," she said softly, her pale blue hair casg around her. "And I appreciate it."

Gaiza's heart fluttered at Aliana's words, but she regained her posure. She nodded aured down the corridor.

"We should keep moving, Princess. There's much to uncover about the headmaster's pns."

  Aliana nodded,

Aliana and Gaiza pressed forward through the corridors of the Magical Academy. They were ready to uhe truth behind the headmaster's pns. They khere was much more to be revealed.

However, as they turned a er, they were met with an ued obstacle. Standing before them was Elena, the headmaster's right-hand woman. She wore the standard mage uniform, but what stood out was the seal of approval from the headmaster promily dispyed otire. Her red hair framed her face like a bzing halo, and her pierg red eyes held an iy that could kill if she had the power to do so.

Elena raised her hand, signaling for them to stop iracks. "That’s far enough, Swod Aliana!" she anded with authority

Aliana and Gaiza stopped iracks upon seeing her. Gaiza looked with worry while Aliana smirked. She tightened a grip around her sword and took up her stance. "Elena. Well, isn’t this going to be pleasant?”
