While the uncle and nephew bantered, Fred had already sent out his third Pokémon. Losing two battles in a row hadn't affected his mi in the slightest.
With the appearance of his third Pokémon, the first thing everyone heard owerful, domineering roar.
"TAAAR!!"
A Tyranitar, resembling a small dinosaur, stood tall in the arena, its roar eg throughout the battlefield.
Ethan's eyes lit up with excitement. "Grandpa's Tyranitar is even strohan Probopass! That guy is definitely going to lose!"
Tyranitar wasn't just a pseudo-legendary Pokémon—it was also a symbol of the Rock-type Gym.

Feeling the stant shaking of Aggron's Poké Ball on his waist, Julian said softly, "You're not ready to face it yet."
Although he was eager to see an Aggron and a Tyranitar csh—two Pokémon that looked like absolute beasts—he knew Aggron was currently no match for Tyranitar.
Under normal circumstances, Julian wouldn't have minded sending Aggron out. But this was a Gym challenge, and Tyranitar was Fred's ace.
He wasn't fident that Aggron could take down the oppo's trump card.
As if uanding his reasoning, the shaking of Aggron's Poké Ball gradually stopped.
Julian then pced his hand on the first Poké Ball on his belt.
With a fsh of white light, a silver-white Metagross appeared otlefield.
Its metallic body gleamed uhe light, and the golden X on its forehead gave it an imposing aura. While it wasn't as ferocious-looking as Tyranitar, its presence was just as anding.

Metagross's level hadn't ged in the past three months, still at the peak of pseudo-Elite. Its potential remained Purple, though a tenth of it had already transitioo Gold.
The two pseudo-legendary Pokémon locked eyes. Even though Metagross was at a lower level than Tyranitar, it showed no fear in the face of the Elite-level pressure radiating from its oppo.
Tyranitar: "You don't o force yourself. If you 't ha, just stay down."
Metagross: "Idiot"
In terms of intelligence, Metagross, with its superputer-like brain, viewed Tyranitar as little more than a simpleton. In fact, it sidered Julian to be one as well.
Tyranitar: "I'm going to crush you!"
"ROAR!"
With a deafening roar from Tyranitar, the battle officially began.
Pieces of rocks erupted from the battlefield, each t dozens of meters high. As they shot out from the ground, their sharp tips carried streaks of white air pressure, cutting through the battlefield like bdes.
In respoo Tyranitar's Stone Edge, Metagross used Teleport, instantly appearing right in front of its oppo.
Its right arm lifted, fist glowing with a rainbow-colored light, as it aimed a powerful Meteor Mash at Tyranitar.
Tyranitar tered with a Focus Punch, meetiagross head-on.
The air between them cracked and exploded as their fists cshed. In just a fra of a sed, the force from Meteor Mash and Focus Punbsp;collided.
'Boom!'
A shockwave burst from the point of impact, sweeping through the battlefield like a raging storm. The sheer force tore up the ground oher side of them, leavirenches in its wake.
'Crack… crack…'
The grouh Tyranitar's feet began to fracture as its massive body started to sink slightly.
"Tar…?"
Feeling the immense force transmitted through its arm, Tyranitar's eyes widened in disbelief. Its Focus Punbsp;had been pletely overpowered.
The moment its attack crumbled, Metagross's Meteor Mash followed through, sending Tyranitar flying backward more than a hundred meters. Its thick legs scraped against the battlefield, carving deep grooves into the ground.
It had actually been knocked back by a si!
Fred's eyes flickered with surprise.
Although Metagross's level hadn't ged, its strength was still growing.
The Walker family's resources, bined with the system's support, had been ied the most into Metagross. It had always beeop priority.
The result of this iment was Metagross's uificrease in power. Of course, the system pyed the biggest role in this.
With tless enha drugs boosting all six of its base stats, Metagross had bee a perfectly banced fighter—an unstoppable warrior.
Feeling it's arm trembling slightly, Tyranitar was surprised, but it also felt deeply unwilling to accept this oute.
Strength was supposed to be its greatest pride. And now… it had lost in raw power to a k of metal?
No way. It had to be because it did enough for breakfast.
Tyranitar: "Again!"
Fred made no attempt to stop Tyranitar's seemingly reckless behavior.
"Meta!"
Metagross teleported in front of Tyranitar once again. Sis oppo was so eager to ti would gdly oblige. Its fist, shining with the brilliant light of Meteor Mash, swung directly at Tyranitar's face.
This time, however, Tyranitar didn't use Focus Punch—it went for Fire Punbsp;instead.
Fmes roared to life around its fist as it cshed with Metagross's attack.
Julian's expression darkened slightly.
'Tyranitar, this sneaky bastard…'
Fortunately, Meteor Mash overpowered the Fire Punch, otherwise the Fire Punbsp;might have caused burn test dition.
Tyranitar: "Again!"
Metagross: "Like hell I will."
Just moments ago, Metagross had thought of Tyranitar as nothing more than a muscle-headed fool. But now, it nearly learned a painful lesson—it would not uimate its oppo again.
Metagross spread its arms wide, gathering energy. In the instant, a brilliant silver beam shot forward.
"Tyranitar, Hyper Beam!"
A golden energy beam erupted from Tyranitar's mouth, colliding with Metagross's silver bst. The two beams cshed violently, gold and silver iwining as they struggled for dominance.
As more energy poured in from both Pokémon, the csh turned into a massive sphere of swirling energy, growing rger with each passing sed.
Then—
"BOOM!!!"
A deafening explosion rocked the battlefield. A t cloud of smoke rose into the air, while a devastating shockwave rippled outward.
The ground cracked apart inch by inder the sheer force of the bst. tless rocks were reduced to dust, and even the protective barrier surrounding the battlefield trembled, sending out visible ripples.
Tyranitar, despite its massive bulk, ushed back dozens of meters by the impact.
Meanwhile, Metagross used a Light S to block the shock wave in front of it.
