Well, I didn't really expect to make one, either.
It occurs to me that you might want to get to choose which schedule I post on in the future, though, so - here's a poll.

I like writing and I've thoroughly enjoyed After the End, but the every day schedule really drags sometimes. I have a full time job that pays the bills and this isn't it, but this is still a huge time investment. I'm happy to continue writing ... but the current time commitment is unsustainable. That's a lot of the reason for the current month-long break.
So! I've come up with two ways to deal with it and still have time to do the side project (a revision to After the End). It'll result in me writing most nights instead of every night; I think that's a reasonable change.
What should my schedule be for the next series?
