Hello,

  This is an update post, and probably not one people will like too much so I’ll keep it relatively brief.

  Firstly, I am fine!

  Life has been busy, between working as a nurse through the pandemic, to dealing with a toddler, now with another one on the way.

  The reason I am updating now is to say that I am writing again, but it’s not braindead.

  The difference with this new story is that Im approaching it semi professionally, with a 50k backlog of words and a patreon.

  My goal this time is to show feasibility of writing as a job, either reducing my working hours or even becoming a full time author (though realistically i dont think im good enough to pull that off).

  where does this leave Braindead?

  Well… not ‘dead’ dead.

  It is something I would like to revisit, but with a rewrite and relaunch in the future. If this happened it would be with a proper strategy in place to write it semi-professionally and monetize it so that I can justify the time spent writing it. Spending 3-4 hours writing every day is something i have to balance against my responsibilities as a dad and an adult.

  Thank you all for supporting me, you hear a lot of horror stories about writing on royal road, but im glad that I never experienced any of that.
