I watched as the rest of the demon lords one by one disappeared each with a unique and different way from the other lords leaving me and lord Sloth alone in his laboratory. The laboratory itself was massive I mean it looked like it could fit a small house inside here but instead it was full of weird machines and other magical devices.

  "Champion follow me" lord Sloth began to hover off the ground and flew over to one of the odd magical devices. The magical thingy thing was three rings of floating metal that had weird writing ingrained on it other then the three rings was some large cauldron that had tubes and pipes going into the floor under the three rings "please stand in the middle and once it activates don't move"

  "This is a bloodline infuser and stabilizer it will allow me to give you some more fitting demonic race and while we begin I have some questions to ask you" lord Sloth began to look around on the shelves nearby for what I can only assume he's looking for blood samples to use on me "now then let's begin with a easy question can the other you's hear us?"

  "Can they hear us? No they can't hear us not without my permission but I already know not to allow them that" it was a smart question to ask first because it would have been bad if the others were capable of being used as spy on me and lord Sloth's conversations.

  "Mmm good, now next why are you so obedient?" he still was looking for a good sample of blood but it seemed hard for him to make a choice on which bloods to use as he mumbled about what to use "maybe I should use my own ancient gargoyle? Yes that would work but let's use it as the secondary race"

  "Why am I so obedient? Well you should know that already I'm just to lazy to fight against your will and so making me more malleable to your desires" it seemed that lord Sloth had found the blood sample he wanted as he pulled a old dusty vile from the shelf. I was to far to see what the old worn-out label said but it must have been old by how dusty it was.

  "So if I'm correct then that means the other champions will fight against my fellow lords will?" lord Sloth floated over to the cauldron and poured the vile of blood which I can finally now read the label that said 'Lou Carcolh' into the cauldron and then he pull out a knife and slit his palm and poured his blood in. He began to do something I couldn't see with my eyes as the blood in the cauldron started to bobble and boil causing a intense smell of iron that attacked my nose.

  "yes and no some will fight against them while others won't like me. I believe that lust and envy will listen to their lord's with different degrees of respect or worship while wrath, pride, gluttony, and greed will try their best to fight or on the more extreme rebel against their lord's will" I began to notice that one of the rings around me me began to glow a deep red similar to that of blood it then started to emit a slit grinding sound like something inside it was shifting around. That is when I figured out little bit of how this thing was working as when I focused really closely at the rings I saw small blood droplets start to form and drip off the rim of the ring but before it could fall it began to gravitate to the center point of all three rings which was coincidently directly right above my head. More and more blood began to joined the first drop of blood before after sometime it had become a large orb of blood about the size of a basketball and that is when the second ring began to activate but this one didn't glow red but a metallic gray.

  "champion this is the painful part but no matter what don't fall to sleep if you do you will die and I rather not be called a traitor by my whole race and kingdom" after lord Sloth gave me his warning he quickly jerked his hands and from the second ring came hundreds of thin spikes pierced all over my body causing agony swarm throughout my body as blood left my body either by leaking from the openings of the hundreds of puncher wounds or to be sucked up by many small holes on the thin spikes in my body. it was truly agonizing as my literal life blood was quickly leaving my body by the second but as more and more of my life faded the slower everything felt prolonging my agony to what felt like years of hell. but then I saw lord Sloth's hands move again and this time both the first and second rings activated again making the back end of the thin spikes that were connected to the second ring to bend and connect to the orb of blood above me.

  life began to flood my body once more as blood was pumped into my body from the spikes but the agony didn't dissipate no it increased as the blood entering was smoldering hot and seemed to fight against my body. As the new blood passed through parts of my body small things began to change or started to grow from my body first it started with my skin color becoming a dull reddish brownish gray, then these small deep black pebbles started to grow on my arms lucky there only a small amount not even enough to impede on my arm movements, but that wasn't the last of it as from my lower back right above my butt a odd growth started to push against my pants before whatever it was pushed itself out the top of my pants I wanted to look behind me to see what it was but I couldn't move.

  I could not see it at the time but lord Sloth flicked his hand again which then activated the third and final ring that glowed a blue color that almost instantly started to make my agony go away. Then the spikes began to retract from my body causing me to bleed a little bit but that stopped when the blue glow intensified and all my wounds started to close rapidly making it looked like I was never hurt in the first place.

  "Good you survived you should stay still the process hasn't fully finished but in the meantime I suggest looking at your new bloodline status tab it has some information on what you gained from this. I in the meantime will leave to get ready for your first lessons a maid will take you to me once you allowed to move again" lord Sloth made his way out of the laboratory and I lost sight of him once the door closed behind him leaving me alone here in the laboratory with nothing to do but look at my status.
