Chapter 35: Corpse King!

Chapter 35: Corpse King! (Seeking recommendations! Collecting!)

  Corpse King!! Collect!!

"This is really going to be enjoyable!" Wu, standing outside the police station gate, tightened his clothes and glared at the policeman on duty, muttering to himself, "This guy is more infuriating than anyone else! I, a great master, have been struggling for three meals a day, suffering countless cold shoulders and disdain my whole life... and now I still have to trudge through this awful weather... Alas, heaven is not benevolent, the world is not fair!"

He sighed and shook his head. At this time, Wu Mouren didn't even have the enthusiasm to go in and report the incident. He turned sideways and took a step to leave.

It wasn't until he took his third step that a domineering voice came from inside the glass door, "You little brat, what are you doing? You, yes you, I've been staring at you for half a day. Are you trying to steal something with your sneaky behavior outside? Get in here!"

Wu Zhengxie's footsteps suddenly stopped, and he looked down at the new clothes he had just changed into. At this moment, a fire ignited in his heart, "I'm saying, do I look like a thief? What kind of eyes are you using to look at me? Can't you see that I'm wearing brand new clothes?! Hmph, can thieves dress up so neatly?"

As he thought about it, Wu Zheng pushed open the glass door of the police station with a creak, and suddenly a wave of heat hit him in the face, making Wu feel so comfortable that he almost let out a sigh.

However, in an instant, Wu Mouren sneered, "Greenhouse flowers! People living in this environment should not be very healthy, right? Humph, who can be like me, a great master who has been tempered by the winds and rains of nature for many years, and my body has long been immune to the five poisons......"

"Hey kid, what are you doing?" The police officer on duty didn't even glance at Wu Zhengye, his eyes fixed tightly on the computer screen.

"Wu Zhengxie frowned, silently scolding in his heart, "This attitude is also too damn poor? No matter how I say it, I'm here to report a case. You don't even give me water, and you won't even let me sit?"

"Speak!" The police officer on duty finally glanced at Wu Mouren, but only looked for a moment before shifting his gaze away.

  "I found the body..."

"Hmm! You've discovered it too?" Wu Zhengxie's sentence was cut off by the police officer on duty, who spoke with a mixture of joy and solemnity, "However, you're mistaken. That's not just any corpse, but the Corpse King!"

"Corpse King?" Wu Zheng's expression froze.

"That's right, it's Corpse King!" As soon as the words came out, the police officer on duty finally looked at Wu Zhengxie with a straight face and pushed the "cloud smoke" by the computer screen towards him. With an arrogant expression, he said, "Rookie, if you want to smoke, take it yourself, don't be polite to me, I'm your senior after all."

"Hmm, senior?" Wu Zhengxie listened more and more confused, but before he could ask, the police officer spoke up, "How long have you been out? Hmm, let me guess, you can't even tell ordinary corpse guards and corpse kings apart, you must be a newbie."

As he spoke, the police officer on duty looked at Wu Zhengye with a pleased expression. When he saw the shocked look on Wu Zhengye's face, the smile on the police officer's face grew even wider. "Haha, you were guessed by me, rookie! Although I've only been out of the police academy for a month, I'm still your senior. By the way, what's your occupation? What level are you?"

When asked by the police officer on duty, Wu Zhengye was at a loss for what to say. At this time, his mind was a bit confused. He never expected that the police officer in front of him would be a fellow practitioner, and even a foreign monk!!!

He had heard of the title "Master", but he always thought this profession only existed in foreign movies, and he didn't expect to actually meet one in real life.

And he himself, the "Yanggong Fengshui Secret Art" he practiced belongs to the Feng Shui technique of geomancy, often walking in the mortal world, with no taboos. The "Qimen Dunjia Diancang" is just a supporting practice and does not have any specific rules or restrictions, nor does it belong to any sect or school. Only the "Maoshan Yishu" belongs to the Taoist tradition, so in this sense, he should be considered a 'Taoist'?

But there were still two questions that had been troubling him all along.

Firstly, whether this Taoist priest is divided into grades or not Wu Zheng doesn't know, but can Taoist priests be graded anyway?

The Taoist emphasizes the realm of Tao Fa, and determines whether Tao Fa is profound or not based on the strength of Tian Hun. If... if you must define a level, perhaps... perhaps it can be divided into two levels and eight steps?

According to Master Yang Yongmeng's "Yong Meng Za Ji", including the division of reality and legend, it can be distinguished by two levels and eight steps.

First level: Tian Hun Condenses Reality — 'Hun Shi' Realm, divided into four steps.

Entry: Master a method of breathing, and through long-term practice, cultivate an internal energy. This energy is the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, which can nourish one's body and soul.

The first step is to cultivate internal energy, and use this energy to nourish the spirit. This is called - 'Cultivating Energy State'!

The second step is for the energy to condense into liquid and use this liquid to nourish the soul. This is called - 'Primordial Power Realm'!

The third step is for the liquid to condense into a dan (elixir), and with this elixir, nurture the soul. This is called - 'Dan Soul Realm'!

The fourth step, Dan Qi nourishes the soul, and the soul's consciousness is reborn. It is called - 'Soul Round Realm'!

The first level of Nourishing the Soul, the Great Perfection, possesses consciousness that will attract heavenly tribulations in an instant; passing through them will lead to the attainment of the second level.

Second Level: Heaven's Soul Bestows Spirit - 'Soul Spirit' Realm, divided into four steps.

Consolidation: Tianhun recovers perfectly after crossing the heavenly tribulation.

The first step, Tian Hun swallows the seven Po. It is called - 'Po Realm'!

The second step, Tian Hun swallows Di Hun. It is called - 'Di Jing'!

The third step, Tian Hun swallows Ren Hun. It is called - 'Human Boundary'!

The fourth step is the Great Perfection of Human Realm. It is called - "Jie Jing"!

At the moment when the human soul is completely devoured, the name will disappear from the Book of Life and Death in the underworld, thus triggering the heavenly cycle of reincarnation! Will bear the punishment of the reincarnation vortex and the reincarnation thunderbolt, and if passed, it will achieve the third level.

The above two levels and eight realms are for the present world, according to the records of "Yong Meng Zha Ji", so far, no one has been heard to break through to the third level of that legendary realm.

For even if it is a second-level first-step person in the mortal world, they are all categorized as 'attaining the Tao' and 'immortal wind and Dao bone', let alone third-level...

The above boundaries only apply to 'Mao Shan Dao Shu', as for the division of realms in Buddhism and other Taoist schools, Wu Zhengyi is not aware of it, nor has it been introduced in 'Yong Meng Zha Ji'.

But Yang Yongmeng's "Meat Eye Peeks God" realm was later found in Wu Zhengyi's "Yong Meng Zaji" to be a powerful existence equivalent to the second level and second step of the "Earth Realm".

Upon reaching the second stage of the second step, when the heavenly soul swallows the earthly soul, it can transform into the 'Heavenly Eye'!

Such existence is extremely rare in the mortal world. In "Yong Meng Zha Ji", there was a saying, "Alas, in my great China, only three people have reached a realm comparable to this."

In "Yang Yong's Dream Record", it didn't mention the names of those three people, but Wu Zhengxie knew that among them, his master Yang Yong must have occupied one seat.

Apart from this, the "Qinlang" who is now suppressed within NJ University must be one of them. Apart from these two, who is the third person? The "Yong Meng Za Ji" does not mention Wu Zhengye, so it is impossible to know.

In "Yong Meng Zha Ji", apart from Feng Shui and Kan Yu, the most mentioned are Mao Shan Dao Shu and Qi Men Zhen Fa!

The main attack of Mao Shan Dao Shu is the nemesis of ghosts and spirits, mixed with some talismanic drawings, soul-calling curses and other secret techniques.

Talismans and drawings similar to 'Tianshi Tao', commonly seen are 'yellow paper talismans', in addition, blood talismans are also relatively common, their power is much stronger than yellow talismans, and there are also refined blood talismans, this type of talisman belongs to the kind that will only be used when one's life is at stake.

Essence is only a few drops for everyone, the stronger one's power, the more essence they have. Once the essence is consumed, it's not easy to recover.

In Mao Shan Dao Shu, there is another kind of talisman - Xū Kōng Fú (Void Talisman).

Those with strong heavenly souls can condense Void Seals, but these "Void Seals" consume the power of the heavenly soul, which is also known as "spiritual energy".

Ordinary people's heavenly souls are not extremely powerful, so they do not dare to use them rashly, because... the weakness of the heavenly soul will directly lead to a lack of spirit, hallucinations, and severe cases may even fall into permanent sleep! And when weakened to the extreme, what is faced is - death!

So, the Void Seal is generally not commonly used, and only Wu Zhengyi, this initial elder brother, has the guts to condense the Void Seal and open it up when he seems to understand but doesn't really get it. If it weren't for that ring saving his life, Wu might have lost a few more lives already.

At this moment, Wu suddenly sorted out his thoughts and found that he hadn't even entered the door of Taoism.

For a moment, Wu felt an indescribable taste in his heart...

Wu Zhengxie's eyes complicatedly glanced at the police officer who was staring seriously at the computer screen, and his heart couldn't help but secretly wonder, "This kid doesn't seem like a fellow practitioner at all, maybe... maybe the profession of a foreign mage is a bit different? Hmm, aren't mages in movies always holding a magic wand? Where's this kid's magic wand?"

As he thought about it, Wu Zhengye subconsciously looked around him, as if trying to find that legendary magic wand.

Just then, when his gaze fell on the pack of "Cloud Smoke" on the table, Wu's thoughts were suddenly disrupted. He reached out and picked up the "Cloud Smoke", pulled out a cigarette, took the lighter from the table, lit it with a snap, brought the cigarette close to the flame, and took a deep drag...

  "Ah, comfortable."

Wu Zhengyi sat down on the sofa in the back, closed his eyes and savored the comfort.

The warmth of the air... The dizziness that comes with swallowing clouds and spitting out fog... At this moment, it seems like everything has disappeared, leaving only the creaking sound of the electric fan in the room and the clicking sound of the police officer's mouse on the opposite side still echoing in my ears.
