The floor was hard and a bit cold; it seems like the blanket does little work, but you're still thankful. It's definitely much worse without one. You could hear Lone man's steady breathing as he lay next to you.
"I always leave my pillows and blankets to dry out in the sun," He said. "It smells different, don't you think? I mean, sun-dried things have a different smell, right? It smells warm, it smells comforting, and it feels like a tight embrace." He stopped abruptly. "I'm sorry, I'm blabbering about nonsensical things."

You heard him shift. Strangely, you could feel his presence closer to you.
"I do," you replied.
