  After hearing the bathroom door close, you went out of your hiding spot and grabbed the key. You quietly made your way out of the room.

  Two steps away from the door, you heard him again. He was screaming repeatedly, "Mother, please, I want to go back home!"

  Then everything went silent.

  You looked behind you and saw him peeking out of his room, looking straight at you. You held your breath and didn't move. Eventually, he went back inside his bedroom, locking the door.
