"Come at me, Fatima. Let's see what I will have to work with." – I need to focus; I need to show the instructor something promising if I want her to see that I am not just some spoiled right brat who just makes demands.
My first attempt to strike her didn't go as well as I expected. She managed to parry my first strike, and then I followed it up with another strike that was also parried; time to use more advanced tactics, feints, and blowing through parries; this wasn't easy by any means as the instructor had as much skill as I did when it came to fighting with melee weapons.
I tried to disarm her for about 30 minutes, but I didn't have any success; even with my skill, this body cked the innate capacity to surpass and beat the instructor, at least for now,
"Whoa there, we are quite equal in battle skill, but your strength and stamina are kinda cking, but I see that you trained them too; you ain't the average spoiled rich girls I usually train; you rock," – The instructor cpped her hands and patted me on the back.
"Well, at least I know you are a good instructor, " I replied.
"We will focus on training endurance, agility and strength during our sessions, I know I won't have to teach you much about close quarters combat but training from time to time won't hurt either. Let's go for a run and test your endurance."
The two of us ran ps around the mansion, and Hikari kept track of how much we ran; I knew some breathing techniques from the military that helped a little, but I didn't come on top when running. I say I was at least decent.
"Whoa there, you surprised me. I never thought you could keep up with me for so long. I see. Now, let's look at your physical strength."
The instructor tasked me to push up with objects that got heavier the more I did; the st few that I managed to do were with 10kg weights.
My heart is beating fast, and my arms and legs are sore; I can't move much anymore.
"Damn, your endurance and strength are pretty good for where you are at; I know I am having someone to work with. And don't worry, your little secret is safe with me. I had no intention of telling anyone, but I think it was a good motivator." I saw the instructor smile and give me a thumbs-up.
"Is… that… all… for… today… ?" - I asked between breaths
"Yes, you are free, for today, that is; I will drop by tomorrow, see ya!" - She left us there, and we slowly made our way back to my room, where I rested.
There was another maid with us in the room; Hikari left for a bit. I remember the maid from Fatima's memories; she hid some family heirlooms and, also, she had formed a sve contract with Fatima and can't disobey her; no, that happened to all the maids here besides Hikari, the sve contracts should be somewhere in my drawer.
"What are you doing!?" - Her mask slips a bit; her voice was at first annoyed, then she sounded concerned, but it sounds so fake.
"I am fine, don't worry." – I walked up to my drawer, legs shaking after every step I took, that training today; only when I was in the military did my heart race like this, this adrenaline and excitement.
"What do you want me to do?" - The maid's head lowered to the ground; she expects me to issue a command via the sve contract.
I moved my hand to the drawer and opened it while supporting myself on its wooden frame. After I grabbed all the sve contracts, Fatima forced the maids to sign and stumbled over to the maid, whose name I think I had forgotten; I think it was Ayame.
"I am sorry for what I put you through, I deserve the worst; that's the least I can do for all of you." – In front of the maid, I ripped the sve contracts; they are no longer bound to me in any way and can now refuse my commands.
The contracts didn't work when they attacked and bullied me because I let them do that; there is a loophole that the master can put in exceptions for the things sves can't do; I must have done it without knowing.
"I don't even understand who you are anymore. I doubt that anyone that is kinder than Fatima would be reincarnated in her body, but I see one thing, you do love Alma(Hikari) a lot. Maybe you changed for her, but that can't erase all of your mistakes." – The maid's voice is calm and collected; there was no hatred or sign of her faking it.
"I know, but trying to fix them is the best I can do, I need to do more for you and the other maids, I noticed your acceptance isn't complete, but please, at least give me a chance " - In a quick action I bowed my head to the maid, this gesture is unexpected from what Fatima would usually do.
"I will; nothing is forgotten tho. Just be sure to not repeat all of her mistakes." – Ayame helped me get to my bed and watched over me while I was resting; Hikari did visit me here.
"Hey, you doing ok?" - Hikari sat near me in the bed while Ayame watched us closely.
"Yes, the training took a toll on me, but it's for the better if I keep it up like this every day."
I just spent the rest of the day resting and gathering my energy; my dad didn't bother me this time. I think he understands my point and how I view things now. I wish I had a father who cared for me in my old world.
I will say this, an overbearing father is better than one who tries to kill you.
But I am dwelling on the past too much. I need to focus on my new life, I accepted my new life pretty quickly, but now I have to do something in this new life. Something that makes it worth living.
