Light beams into my eyes as I slowly open them. Just then, a familiar face stood before me. It was none other than retired hunter Dehter Goremann. What happened last time, anyway? Have I passed out? Most importantly, why am I in the jungle!?
"You did well, boy. I approved of your abilities, which says a lot coming from my mouth. Anyway, this is going to be your training. I want you to survive in the jungle for seven days. I will just provide you a few things, such as water and a guidebook."
What's this? Even though I had lost, the retired hunter approved the bargain. Wait, why can't I move? Oh no, I'm entangled in some vines!
"All right, you're on your own, boy. If you manage to survive seven days, come return to the inn." Dehter bolted and vanished in the blink of an eye.
Heh. This training will be easy for me. I've gone through far worse than this. First, I'll break out of these vines.
Alejandro effortlessly breaks free from the vines. He used his pure muscles to break free and grabbed his pocket bag from the other tree he was facing. He checked the provisions in the pocket bag, and Dehter had only two supplies left for him. A few hours' worth of water, as well as a survival guidebook written by Dehter himself.
I survived living in a wilderness after being abandoned by my mother and father. What's the worst that may occur? Good thing that I still have Khalib and Bavael on my side.
A tremendous roar can be heard nearby. This made Alejandro wonder if this was indeed an average jungle. Alejandro prepared Khalib, his loyal sword and prepared a stance.
A gigantic creature emerged out of nowhere, right in front of Alejandro! This monster is the size of a house, with hard scales and fiery eyes that resembled a flaming bonfire. The monster was all violet, from its head to its huge tail. The monster shrieked in front of Alejandro, displaying big sharp fangs and flexing sharp claws capable of tearing down a tree with ease.

What is this creature?! I have never seen such a thing in my life! Am I supposed to kill this? Is it even possible to defeat this massive monster in the first place?! Tch! I don't have a choice; kill or be killed in the wild!
“First, I’ll have to try if I can slay this creature with Khalib!” Alejandro tightened his hamstrings and calves as he prepared to jump into the creature's skull. He effortlessly made a strong jump and as fast as a bird. He swings Khalib to the creature's skull with considerable strength, tightening his biceps and forearms and maintaining a good position on his shoulders.
However, it was useless. The creature's strong scale prevented Khalib from piercing its skull. Alejandro instantly jumped down, predicting that using a standard blade to slay this monster would be ineffective.
The monster advances and prepares its fangs to bite Alejandro. However, Alejandro was not foolish, and he swiftly swings Khalib to the ground. Why? He took advantage of the fact that the ground in this region of the forest was made entirely of sand. This left the beasts' eyes dazzled for several minutes.
Alejandro summoned Bavael to assist him in defeating the monster while it was still distracted.
"Let's defeat this monster, Bavael!"" Alejandro exclaimed, and Bavael blazed pure red, indicating that he was ready. Again, Alejandro tightened his hamstrings and calves as he prepared to jump into the creature’s eyes.
"If I can't get through your hard scales, I'll have to remove both of your eyes first!" Alejandro then jumped to the monster's eyes and pierced them! He wasted no time and went straight for the monster's tail, successfully cutting it out.
The beast yelled a huge roar and was going to flee, but Alejandro wanted to kill it so he could eat something and survive in the jungle. Alejandro quickly identified the monster's weakness. The monster was desperate and began to strike Alejandro with his sharp claws, but he easily avoided the attack and went directly into the beast's vulnerable point, piercing Bavael into it.
The beast roared its final roar, which was faint. The beast then slowly slumped to the ground and stopped breathing. Alejandro likewise sat down on the ground soon after using a lot of stamina to defeat this beast.
“I did it. I thought it would be difficult, but I think I can make it out alive.” Alejandro relaxed as he successfully hunted down a large monster.
