01 - Interview with an Elf

Yozuki: Okay, so let's review. Time and time again, authors have been tainting and violating what it means to be an elf. What does it really mean to be an elf?

  Elf: ...

Yozuki: Right. So outside of an appearance the author has in their head, do you have anything to say on the matter?

  Elf: ...

Yozuki: I see this is getting me nowhere.

  Yozuki: ...

Elf: Why are you making an interview with an elf?

Yozuki: I had this fancy idea to use a green haired, slender eared elf in an interview. At best I got as far as having her in a village outside of a hut; I believe it had a straw roof and that's where I got stuck.

Elf: So you meant to alleviate writer's block?

Yozuki: Yes. I was originally trying to create a story about an elf in the woods. However, it's odd to think of an elf in a village in a forest that is composed of pine trees.

  Elf: Did this interview help?

Yozuki: Not quite, it showed me just how absurd interviewing your own characters is.

Elf: Yes, it's better to have them interview you, to see how they act.

Yozuki: Indeed. May my creations and I serve each other better in the future.

Elf: Do I have a name?

  Yozuki: Ellis.

  Elf: Al...

Yozuki: I'll do this with you later.
