The majority of World Walkers were once ordinary people. Dying in one world only for their souls to end up in another, manifesting a new body, often with exotic powers that nobody else possesses, given to them by the beings that govern each reality. They are deposited into one place or another, perfectly positioned to grow and to eventually enact change on their new world--going from unremarkable people to figures of legend.
