Countless bolts of sers and psma flew past my head as I fpped my wings, maneuvering around to dodge them. Looking behind I saw those same shots sm into my Leviathans. Luckily the new shields popped up and blocked the shots, but it wouldn’t st long. There were simply too many of these guys and their tech outcssed ours by leagues. A million strong fleet from an advanced civilization isn’t some candy to be taken from a baby.
Despite the ck of sound, the battlefield was chaotic as all hell and felt loud. My Killer Drones and Shredders, easily numbering in at over four hundred million, fought against their Strike Craft and smaller ships. They tried overwhelming them with sheer number, which is all we had going for us. A true horde of locusts covering the sun. But one on one? They got sughtered like pigs. Still, there were just too many of them, creating 400 to 1 odds. Even managed to block a few shots aimed for the Leviathans and gang up on smaller vessels.
I couldn’t worry about them, or even my women. Had to focus on causing as much damage as possible for future attacks. My wings fpped even harder, propelling me forwards faster than Barry Allen! Not the CW version of course. Can run fast enough to time travel, then gets stopped by a random human who has an ice gun. Brilliant.
Because of my size, which is small compared to everything else, dodging any shot aimed my way was pretty easy. My reaction time was simply too good for these losers. And finally, I reached the fleet. Both if my arms transformed into an enrged version of their bded form and sshed anything nearby. Their shields were torn through like paper, hull being split in half.
Many fell to my bdes, but they weren’t my true goal. The rger ships, Cruisers and Colossus. Taking these out would guarantee our win as my Killer Drones, Shredders, and flying Alphas and Chosen can overwhelm the others through numbers. But the former were in the thousands and not something I could destroy in a single go.
I spotted the closest one and charged like a bull. As if sensing their incoming doom, they tried firing at me with countless guns. My body swerved from side to side, dodging as much as I could. But there was simply too many weapons being fired from everywhere. A few ser bolts smmed into my chest, making me grunt lightly. Otherwise, it did almost nothing; my armor protecting me quite well.
Closing the distance, I fused both bdes together and raised it above my head; creating a far rger one. With a soundless roar, I tried slicing the Cruiser in half. The shields sted a few seconds longer than the other ships, but still fell. My enrged bde cut through a majority of the Cruiser, causing a rge chunk to explode in my face. Undeterred, I left this smoldering wreck and moved to the next; doing the same thing.
Must’ve destroyed nearly a dozen or two Cruisers before the arm bells in my head started ringing. Despite how long it’s been since I’ve felt it, never could I forget it's meaning. Danger. I gnced around hurriedly and noticed it, three of the seven Colossus were aiming towards me. Before I could move, their massive cannons all fired at once. The speed it contained was too fast and I got caught off guard. On instinct I changed both my arms into a shield and tried blocking the hit.
All six attacks crashed into my shields and sent my hurdling away like I was weightless. Traveled tens of miles away, gritting my teeth as I felt my arms disintegrate under the high temperature. But eventually, it ended. I looked at my smoking shields. Intact, yet on the cusp of shattering. Multiple cracks were across the surface and a few holes were just beginning to appear. Christ, these things are a bit too strong. Especially considering how powerful I've gotten. They could probably wipe out the surface of an entire world in no time at all.
‘Jason! Are you okay?!” Alice’s concerned voice entered my ears. I looked her way and nodded with a smile.
‘I’m fine my love. Don’t worry about me and focus on protecting yourself.’ Soon as I said that, my arms healed back up to normal. Not easy to kill me.
While I flew towards the Colossus and defended Pnet Crackers in an attempt to destroy at least a few, I gnced towards my Leviathans. Holy shit, they were getting torn apart. Despite the thousands of SSM in the system and the Anti-Air Bio Launchers firing from the pnet below, the hundreds of millions of flying infected in between them and the rest of the enemy fleet, they were losing badly. My Pnetary Ptforms I worked so hard to build? Already all gone, though they did do some damage at least.
Meanwhile, my three beauties were trying their hardest to cause mayhem. Athena, as usual, charged head first into a group of ships with no regard for her own safety. Their attacks mainly bounced off her thick armor, but I could see them starting to wear on her. A closer look revealed a few cracks beginning to appear. Yet she gave zero shits, only grinning wildly as she ran straight through a Cruiser and bodied a Destroyer.
Lily, while doing something simir, was a lot more cautious in taking hits. Her thin arm whips and bded hair tore through their shields and armor like nothing. More than once she'd grab a ship and use it like a bowling ball against the others. And just like Athena, she was starting to take some damage.
Finally, my sweet Alice. She was definitely doing the best in terms of taking the least amount of injuries. Her main form of attack involved using her psychic shit and tearing the ships apart from the inside and out. Occasionally those purple eyes of hers would fsh and a few ships dove into each other, their pilots being mind controlled. Or maybe she'd reach for them with a hand and grip tightly, causing one or more ships to be crushed with an invisible force.
They weren't alone either. Flying with them were a couple of Alphas suited to this type of environment, incluidng a few Chosen. Each had a different and unique ability, able to take a monstrous amount of damage before falling. While the enemy is definitely losing way more than us, this is not turning out to be a victory.
Seems like as good a time as any I suppose. I ordered my Leviathans to release every single Ion Disruptors I built up. Their range should hopefully power down at least a quarter of the ships and make them vulnerable for a few seconds. This would in turn let my virus slip in.
However, just as one blew up and the blue bubble field spread out, something different happened. Instead of being powered down like before, the ships came out unharmed and continued fighting like nothing changed. I could see a thin yer of white pop up on their hull for a split second. Fucks sakes, they’ve already countered them? Then how about a eighteen exploding all at once?
Whatever machine they had couldn’t handle that number and seemed to short circuit, powering down tens of thousands of ships and allowing them to become infected with trace amounts of the virus. Even if they destroy all the infected, it’ll still do immense damage and distract them. At the same time my forces tore their undefended selves to bits. Still, this isn’t cost effective. I’ll need to figure out a way to boost my Ion Disruptors range and power.
Enough about them, since I was nearing the first Colossus who shot my ass. Dear Jesus Christ who may or may not be dead already, these things were giant. Bigger than a Cruiser by a fair fucking bit and reminded me I need a new ship myself as the Leviathans weren't cutting it. But they’d still fall to the awesomeness that is me! I flew up high and dove down towards it like a meteor, my bdes already fused together! With all my strength I sshed down and-!
Met a resistance I’ve never felt. The giant fucker’s bright blue shields showed up and tanked the hit. And although it shimmered as if about to break, it held firm. Needs more firepower huh? I got just the thing. Red streaks began climbing my chest, reaching my neck as I prepared my beam attack. Countless guns across the Colossus tried stopping me, but I ignored all the damage and kept powering up. Didn’t take too long before I aimed my mouth down below me and let it rip.
An overwhelming bright red beam exited my throat and crashed into the shield. It held up for nearly ten seconds before shattering and allowing my beam to strike the armor. Barely sted any time at all as it cut through the Colossus’s hull and came out the other side. Stopping it there, steam exited my mouth for but a moment when I raised my arm and turned it into a shield. A nearby Colossus attacked me and flung me away, but I survived and weathered it beautifully.
However, my fleet couldn’t say the same. Nearly half of my Leviathans were dead and the others weren’t too far behind. Even my personal one, who obviously don’t have my children on board, is taking some serious damage. I ordered all of them to retreat, including my women who were injured themselves. The concern and worry on their face was sweet, but they knew it was apart of the pn.
Taking out the rest of this fleet by my lonesome wasn’t feasible. Eventually their constant bsts would whittle my armor into literal dust and even kill me. However, there’s one st thing I could do to make them suffer. I flew to the middle of their fleet and hovered in pce. Ignoring the attacks battering my powerful armor, I concentrated deeply and held both hands together, forming something in the middle. A pitch bck cloud, swirling around with menacing intent. Focusing intently, I increased it’s size and at the same time spread my arms outward. A massive amount of sentient bck cloud exploded from my position like a volcano, engulfing all the nearby vessels.
Yet it did not damage and simply slipped inside their ships harmlessly, infiltrating their shields as if they didn't exist. This was my supercharged virus I always expelled constantly, concentrated even more due to my actions. This’ll dey them for a time and kill a whole lot. While they dealt with this, I fpped my wings and made it towards my personal Leviathan. Even from here I could see the beatings not only it received, but all the others. Their own flesh was desperately trying to repair itself slowly while the guns built on their heads were all destroyed. Saddening.
But this wasn't the end of my assault. I turned around and while still flying backwards, made both arms transform into giant cannons. They fused together, growing even rger and more dangerous looking. I aimed for one of the few Pnet Crackers and released a giant fifty foot blob of red and bck liquid. My own poisoned blood. It soared through space at an insane speed. And although a few ships got in it's path, it went straight through them as if it didn't exist and smmed into the Pnet Cracker. The shields melted visibly to the naked eye and created a hole for my blood to drip down into. Well, that's one taken care of.
I ordered all remaining Killer Drones and Shredders to suicide attack the enemy fleet, taking all their attention off me and the retreating Leviathans. Wasn’t hurt over their deaths since they’re a dime a dozen. Easily repceable cannon fodder. Should feel honored they can help their God. As soon as I boarded my personal Leviathan’s tentacles, my knees buckled and I nearly colpsed.
Luckily, my women entered a different tunnel than me and didn’t see this embarrassing moment. That supercharged virus shit I did? Not exactly easy to perform. It’s like taking a piece of me, ripping it out, and throwing it away. Then don't forget all the damage I accumuted when charging it up. This wasn't some anime where the vilin just waits for me to use my ultimate move.
Ignoring my own exhaustion, I walked down the tentacle tunnel as we Warp Jumped away. We definitely did some damage. At the minimum a few thousand destroyed which is a great return on my investment. Then there's killing their own infected men which can't be repced. But our losses were immense. Over four hundred million Killer Drones and Shredders were gone, including fifty two Leviathans. Each Leviathan carried about forty million infected for boarding and Pnetary Invasions. So… that’s a fuck ton lost. Like, somewhere around two billion? And of course can't forget my Chosen and Alphas who lost half of their numbers as well.
Despite how it sounds, it’s not a problem. All the pnets we’ve taken, and those which fell to my early Tumor Mothers, are producing infected like no ones business. Even a single world can create over ten million infected in one day. Add in the thirty two under our control, which kept growing with each passing week, and that’s a fair fucking amount. Should only take three or so days to replenish this loss. Faster once more Bio Mass Constructors come online and all the pregnant infected give birth. Though, remaking the Alphas is a lot more challenging considering their advanced states.
However our true way of growing, was through infecting other species and spreading like a pgue. That's what my Mimics are for. First few have already arrived, beginning to infiltrate the deeper worlds we can't reach at the moment. Meanwhile their Alpha variants, nigh impossible to detect, will impnt themselves into the more important positions of the Alliance government. Then sabotage them from the inside out. Perfect pn!
“Jason. You okay?” Alice was the first to reach me and asked gently. I nodded, showing no weakness on my face. I know she and the others don’t give a fuck, but I do. Why the hell would I want to show my loves that?
“Of course. Never been better. They’ll take some time dealing with their own infected ships. While that’s going on, we’ll need to regroup and hit them again. Twice as hard this time.” She had no smile on her face, still worried as the other two came into view.
“And what about the other ones? There are two more of those fleets out there.” Before I could answer, a wounded Lily scratched her head and beat me to it. She took a nasty hit to her side, which was regenerating as we speak.
“The fuck are we suppose to do Jason? This kinda seems like a losing battle. Like yeah, we really gave it to them! But, that’s only a single fleet. And we lost so much just this time.” I swept the two sisters into a hug, no concern on my face.
“Don’t worry so much. The other two will be dealing with the infested pnets all around the pce thanks to my Tumor Mothers. Some are even producing Leviathans, ptforms, SSM, and Anti-Air Bio Launchers. Sure they’ll perish, but they’ll also cause some damage for us. And they can forget a ground invasion. There’s also Yaka. He dealt with his enemy and will soon move against one of the fleets once he’s ready.”
A bloodied Athena grinned and joined us, as if trying to smother us in her hug.
“Quit your whining! That was so much fucking fun!” She suddenly kissed me on the lips and took hold of my tongue with hers. I could taste her blood. Sweet and delicious.
“Thanks for that. Anyway, let’s go see our babies huh? I’m sure Elizabeth is missing her mommy.” Alice sighed seeing me and Athena ignore her concern. She smiled and nodded as Lily brought up a question.
“So I’ve been wondering. What about the others? Godfrey, Asura, and all of them?” As we began walking, all three of them around me, I smiled deeply.
“Off taking more worlds. Me and Yaka will dey these three fleets for as long as possible as they conquer and grow even stronger. I am worried about one thing though.” She tilted her head at me.
“And that is?”
“The Varnids. As we push further into the Alliance territory, we’ll eventually meet their forces. Hopefully it all goes well.” Lily sighed and elbowed me lightly in the ribs.
“Nice going in jinxing us dumbass.” Normally I’d want to tear her ass up, but maybe she’s right this time. I don’t know. There’s been something weird about them-
‘Master.’ A voice echoed in my head, startling me. Been a while since I’ve heard him.
'What is it Michael?’ He paused for a brief instance before continuing.
‘I’ve finally managed to decode a part of the alien nguage after weeks of transting. The one you found in the sea?’
What stelr news! Always knew I liked Michael for some reason. Perhaps he's deserved a break. A day maybe? No I should be generous! Three days! Ah, my kindness as a boss truly knows no bounds.
‘Well? Don’t keep me in suspense.’
‘Of course. It seems these aliens were experimenting to kill off biological life in the swiftest and most absolute way possible. And based on what I’ve found, they were worried about something. There’s an urgency in every report I’ve found, trying to rush their research and send it off to their homeworld.’ After a few moments he kept speaking.
‘You know that word you found? The one which repeated again and again?’
‘Definitely. Did you figure out what it meant?’
‘Yes. Varnids.’ My eyes widened. Holy shit, those are some old fucking bugs huh? Did they win against those aliens? Lose? Before I could ask anything more, Alice seemed to catch my unnatural appearance.
“You okay? Something wrong?” I shook my head and expined everything. She gasped lightly, stars in her eyes. Guess she’s curious.
“That’s so cool! I wonder of these are the same ones those alien precursors fought, or perhaps a completely different species? What if they’re actually spread across multiple gaxies and-!” Off she went, like the cutest little thing. Suddenly I put a hand over her mouth, causing her eyes to look up at me.
“Alice? I love that your so interested, but please calm down. A bit at least.” She frowned and bit my palm with as much force as she could conjure. Only after I released her did she stop.
“Athena, grab onto my shoulder. I want to listen in too.” Without even waiting for my permission, she grabbed onto my head with one hand and closed her eyes. Meanwhile, her other took hold of her sister.
I could feel her presence in my mind. What a weird feeling having Alice inside me, not in the sexy way. Chuckling, I contacted Michael.
‘Expin everything you found.’
He did just that. Though he hasn’t managed to decode everything in their nguage, he got a nice chunk. Apparently, these aliens referred to themselves as the Inarians. And like Alice said, these guys were precursors for sure. Michael found a few dates which go back nearly six hundred thousand years. Their reports describe how some insect race rose up and started consuming all in their path. At first, the Inarians couldn’t be bothered to care and took a, 'Not my problem' approach. Michael expined how much they regretted not taking action sooner.
The Varnids grew faster than any race, soon challenging even their gactic civilization. Their Swarms were immense and unending. Every time they were beaten, the insects came back twice as strong. Inarian weaponry which shredded them previously now did almost nothing, forcing the precursors to constantly adapt. However, they couldn’t. Year by year, they just kept losing more worlds. But one can’t deny they didn't fight hard. This wasn’t some ten or twenty year long war. More like several centuries of the two races going back and forth.
Anyway, Michael’s not sure what happened after that. He noticed there are more records, but they’re hidden behind some super encrypted firewall. He said it’ll take decades at the very least to break through this tech, and that's considering his heightened intelligence. But, he did say something super fucking interesting.
‘I also found the power source keeping the facilities running. It’s this strange green colored generator which constantly refills itself and is somehow connected to the rest of the base. Still can't figure out how though. I think if we reverse engineer not only this tech, but everything else found, we can easily conquer the gaxy without competition. Some of these weapons are actual weapons of mass destruction, especially one of them. If it went off, it’d take half of the sor system along with it. Unfortunately we can't use them ourselves. The Inarians put in some fail safe we are unable to crack.'
Now that’s some juicy information. I ordered him to do exactly what he said and get back to me when he has something significant. Golly, we really are moving up in the world. Once this tech is reverse engineered, what Alliance? What Holy Empire? Trash! Unable to handle the might of my perfect virus intertwining both biology and mech fwlessly!
For now though, it’s time to py with my children and recover our losses. The former is way more important though. As someone who cked a father, I understand how vital having one truly is.
