Lily and Tiffany weren't exactly frontline fighters, but Jason still wanted to give them some Attribute Orbs to boost their strength for self-defense.
You never knew what kind of trouble was waiting around the corner in Escape World.
Lily had gotten six Attribute Orbs from Jason back on the bus to boost her strength, but Tiffany hadn't gotten a single one.
So, Jason wasn't stingy. He gave them both twelve E-Rank Attribute Orbs.
After this, Jason wouldn't be giving them any more for a while.
He needed to focus those Orbs on leveling up Chloe and the other fighters.
"Thanks, Jason."
Lily took the Orbs with a giggle, thanked Jason, and then planted a playful kiss on his cheek.
These past couple of nights, Jason had been giving her a *lot* of attention. She was getting closer to him and wasn't afraid to make bold moves.
Jason finally understood how Chloe and Lily had become a thing. One had the idea, the other was willing to go along with it. They were a match made in heaven.
Lily didn't hesitate after getting her Orbs. She maxed out her Physique and Spirit to E Plus. Now, she wouldn't have to worry about the drain from using acupuncture.
"Thanks, Hubby." Tiffany, beaming, grabbed her Orbs. This was the first time Jason had ever given her any.
Tiffany had only latched onto Jason for survival, not expecting him to share Attribute Orbs.
But Jason had not only given her twelve Orbs but also put her in charge of earning Escape Coins.
She was beyond grateful and just wanted to earn as many Coins as possible to prove her worth.
Tiffany clutched the Orbs and, after a moment's thought, decided to boost her Speed and Physique.
She was boosting those stats purely for survival and escape.
With E Plus Speed and One-Star boots, her Speed would hit D Minus. Paired with her E Plus Physique, she could run from danger without a problem.
"Jason, what about my Orbs?" Ellie came charging out of the passenger seat, terrified that Jason had forgotten her.
Lily had already told her that Jason gave her twelve Attribute Orbs when she replaced her driving, and Ellie was jealous.
Lily's stats were already all E Plus. Ellie still had one stat to max out.
Stolen novel; please report.
Ellie didn't care what anyone else did with their stats, but she had to be better than Lily.
Thinking this, Ellie jumped into Jason's lap. If Jason didn't give her Orbs, she was going to throw a fit.
Jason knew exactly what she was up to, so he sighed and traded six E-Rank Attribute Orbs for Favor Points.
"Alright, here are your six Orbs."
"Thanks, Jason!" Ellie took the Orbs, kissed Jason on the cheek, and immediately absorbed them in his lap. Now, all her stats were E Plus.
Jason checked the system. Giving the girls those Orbs had cost him a total of 102 Favor Points.
Now, he only had 26 left. Five of those had just come from Lily.
The girls had barely boosted their stats, and they had already burned through all his hard-earned Favor Points.
Jason wanted to get more Favor Points now, but he had gone too hard last night and was in recovery mode. He needed to rest.
Even a jackhammer needed to be serviced every once in a while. Jason needed to rest during the day so he could go wild at night.
Afterward, the girls got busy with tasks that Jason gave them.
Chloe went to the passenger seat to keep Lily company while she drove and watch out for accidents. Ellie went to water the crops, and Kira and Tiffany went to take inventory of the supplies in the kitchen.
They had hundreds, almost thousands, of each item, like bread, compressed biscuits, and instant noodles.
These kinds of foods would become rarer and more expensive later. People would have to get their food from hunting, farming, and raising livestock.
Biscuits and instant noodles were fine; they would last a long time.
But bread wouldn't last long at all. When they went to the next world, they would need to sell it as soon as prices went up.
Jason continued to practice using Shadow Doppelganger to train his multitasking abilities and then lay in bed to rest.
Lily massaged Jason while imagining herself giving him acupuncture with her silver needles.
"Oh, right, how's that spy network coming along?" Jason asked Lily.
Lily grinned proudly. "Jason, I've already found a bunch of spies. Over a hundred, easy. But we're almost out of the jerky that Jenna made."
Lily felt a little guilty for giving away all Jenna's hard work.
Jason was surprised and pleased that Lily had found so many spies.
But those one hundred plus weren't spies in the true sense of the word. Lily had just given them some jerky and made friends with them.
But that was the first step. After they left the Wind Disaster World today, everyone would be going to the city to rest for the night.
Many of those women would take that opportunity to join teams or factions. Then, Lily would have a chance to get intel from those groups.
"Don't worry about the jerky. We don't eat it anyway. As for those spies… tell them to join other teams if they get the chance. Then, they won't have to worry about food or shelter and will be protected by strong drivers."
Lily nodded and, following Jason's instructions, opened her system and started chatting with those women one by one.
As time went by, the cars continued to crawl down the highway.
Most of the teams weren't doing so well. They were gritting their teeth and hoping to reach the next world to escape the tornadoes.
Somewhere on the highway...
A small truck slowed to a stop. There were only two miserable people inside, and they were exhausted, trading drivers.
After more than ten seconds, the truck started up again and continued to move.
Huh?
The two people, who had been exhausted, suddenly sensed something. They looked behind them and saw a giant tornado barreling toward them.
"Faster! Go faster!"
A shout came from inside the car. But it was too late. The giant tornado had caught up, and it swept them up with the car, leaving only screams swallowed by the wind.
At the same time, other teams were experiencing similar situations.
Some cars were going too slowly and were swept up by the tornado. Some cars were going too fast and were blown off course by the wind. Because the cars couldn't leave the highway, they ultimately crashed into the invisible barrier on the edge of the road and were swept up by the tornado.
And the number of people in the chat channel was gradually decreasing...
The wind disaster was swallowing up the lives of teams.
