Chrissy POV
I was still pissed off at Vivian for telling Sasha and Jayce that I had diarrhea yesterday. Jayce and Sasha made fun of me as we walked to school. I could always used hypnosis to make them forget, but I wouldn’t do something like that to my friends, beside using hypnosis to influence memory can be dangerous. As we walked, I could hear thunder rolling, before the rain stopped completely and the sun peaked from above the clouds.
“Weird, the rain was falling heavily and then it suddenly stopped.” Sasha commented as she closed her umbrella
“The weather has always been unpredictable. Especially in Mystique Falls.” Jayce said
‘Yeah, that’s because my family is always messing with it.’ I internally chuckled
We made our way to the school talking about various things, mostly about what we will do today. Even with my vampire powers awakened, I still wanted to go to school with my friends, it has been something I’ve been doing since I was young. As we walked, I could tell the differences between before and after I awakened my powers as clear as day. My senses were heightened, the wind on my skin felt different, I could see, smell and hear things that I couldn’t before, but I made sure to dull my senses. Especially the smell. I could hear and smell the blood rushing through everyone’s veins, and I was craving it like a thirsty blood hound. It wasn’t as overwhelming as my family told me, and although I was curious what it would feel like to feed on someone again, I didn’t feel like it. After what happened with Victor, I don’t want to feed on someone and lose control like that again. These are people I have known for years after all, even if they were a bit annoying.
The three of us walked into the school halls, amidst hundreds of our fellow students. I felt different after yesterday, more confident and relaxed. Especially with the good night sleep I had last night. We headed to our home room for registration something stopped me cold in my tracks.
“Chrissy, is something wrong?” Jayce asked
“No, nothing at all.” I said and continued walking with them, but my mind was elsewhere.
‘No, no, no, there is no way this is happening. He’s dead, I killed him, there is no way he’s alive.’ I panicked internally, the reason being, I could still smell that sweet scent from yesterday. It was faint, and I wasn’t as attracted to it as before, but it was definitely the same scent as yesterday. It was on the second floor, coming from 12Q, the same class Victor is in. I went over to the classroom door and scanned the classroom with very few students, and there he was, sitting at the back of the class. I looked at him like I’ve seen a ghost and he turned towards me, and I quickly hid behind the wall.
“Chrissy, what’s up with you?” Sasha asked when she saw me hiding
“Nothing, I’m fine.” I lied pathetically
“Really.” She said and looked inside the classroom and smiled
“Oh, I see. Hey, Victor.” She said with a smirk and my eyes widened as Victor appeared at the door entrance.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“Morning you three.” He said, looking right at me
“We’re doing great, what about you?” Jayce asked
“I’m doing great.” He replied with a smile
“Wow, what happened to your neck? It looks like you got bitten by some really big mosquitos or something.” Jayce said and I trembled a bit as I saw the two red marks on his neck, the same place I bit him. Hopefully, he doesn’t remember anything.
“Yeah, they were really huge. Although, I was more amazed by the amount of blood those little guys can drink, it makes me think they might be some kind of vampire.” He said and I saw him sneak a look at me
‘Yep, he definitely remembers. I knew the veil can’t block all supernatural encounters from human memory, but I hoped it would at least alter the memory a bit. Maybe erase my fucking face.’ I thought angrily
“Victor hi, uhm, we never properly met yesterday. I’m Christina Pierce, but you can call me Chrissy.” I said with a smile
“Yeah I remember, and even though we just met. It feels like I know a lot about you.” He said with a charming smile and I could feel cold sweat dripping down my face.
“Hey Vic, have you gotten a tour of the school yet.” Jayce said, getting between the two of us
“No actually.”
“Then allow me, I can show you where the court is.” Jayce said and both of them headed downstairs.
“Ooh, that wasn’t suspicious at all.” Sasha said with a knowing smile
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said and folded my arms
“So you don’t like Victor then?” Sasha asked
“No, of course not.” I said, trying to sound offended
“Uh huh, then why did you look so nervous talking to him?” She asked and I bit my lips
“You don’t think he’s hot?” She changed her question
“No, not really.” I said, but that was a lie.
“Hmm.” She said
“Do you think he’s hot?” I asked her with a smile and she blushed
“You totally do don’t you. Now look who has a crush on the new guy.” I teased and she blushed even more
“I’m gonna head outside for a bit, I’m gonna call my mom, see you soon.” I said as I went downstairs. I went outside and looked around if anyone was around before dashing into the nearby forest.
“Mom, pick up.” I said impatiently as I wanted for my mom to answer her phone
“What is it Chrissy?” She asked as soon as she picked up the phone
“It’s Victor, he’s alive and I’m pretty sure he remembers exactly what happened yesterday.” I said and my mom paused for a minute
“Are you sure, did he say something to you?” She asked
“He hasn’t outright called me vampire, but he has made a lot of insinuations.” I told her
“Alright, I want you to try your best to stay away from him. If he remembers what happened yesterday, then he can either see through the veil or he is a supernatural. Neither is good for us.” Mom said
“I don’t think he’s a vampire, he smells like a human, just way more delicious.” I said
“Vampires aren’t the only supernatural entities in the world honey.” Mom reminded me
“Well, let’s assume he is a human that can see through the veil. What can he do? It’s not like he can just start blabbing that there are vampires in town, people will think he is insane and I’m sure he’s smart enough to know that.” I said
“You’re right, which is why the next option is more dangerous.” Mom said
“But if he is another supernatural, why did he let me feed on him?” I asked
“No idea.” She said
“Could he not know? I mean, humans can have kids with supernaturals, I’m living proof of that. Could he be half witch, werewolf, demon, or a halfling like me?” I asked, a bit excitedly. I have never met other supernaturals other than my family and I was curious what they were like. Mom paused for a few moments before answering.
“I’m not sure, but you should ask Edward and Camilla when you get home. They should have an answer. But for now, go back to your classes and stay away from Victor.” She said
“Alright, bye.” I said and hung up before heading back to homeroom

Lilian POV
‘She’s so impatient.’ I thought after Chrissy abruptly hung up. I was already at Mystique Falls High, inside the principal’s office. I had ran through the forest, flew up to the window and phased through the wall to get here. It would have been so much easier to just buy a car and drive here, but, being active is good as well. Elliot was at the hospital covering for me at the hospital and I hypnotized the principal to get me the files I needed. She rummaged through her desk and I waited impatiently until after ten minutes, she presented me with the file.
“Name, Victor Grayson, medical file normal, grades N/A, family members Sonia and Fredrick Grayson. Address 3rd Ferguson Street. Everything here is normal. Other than how supernaturally handsome he is.” I chuckled to myself.
“Give me your chair.” I said and the principal quickly got up out of the seat. I quickly searched his name online as well as his email address that was on his file. I couldn’t find anything on him, not a single picture online, not even social media. He could be using a different account and name for his socials….or he could actually be a supernatural, using a different name. Either way, I’m gonna find out. I took a picture of his file and headed out, but not before hypnotizing the principal to forget I was there.
