Chrissy POV
I ran through the forest, feeling free as I could feel the sun on my skin, the wind against my face and scared away more than a few forest animals. I wasn’t aimlessly running through the forest, but I was running towards a specific place, because there was something I needed to check out. And soon I arrived at my destination, a two stories house, painted blue with a red brick wall surrounding the property.
Victor’s house.
I hopped over the wall with relative ease, but as I made it over the wall, I nearly stumbled as a little white cat looked up at me with it’s innocent red eyes. Gravity took hold, and I was falling towards the little cat, who despite seeing my rapid descent didn’t move. I quickly heightened the magical energy and imagined my body lighter than air, slowing down my descent until I was floating right above the cat.
*Meow*
“You’re lucky you’re so cute.” I said as I stepped on the ground and picked up the cat in my hand the little cat purred. I walked towards the front door, looking around to make sure no one was watching, as even the veil won’t prevent people from realizing that I had broken into someone else’s house. I put Salem down and placed my hand on the door.
‘Sorry about this Victor, but my instincts tell me that you are hiding something and I trust my instincts. Sorry again.’ I said before I phased through his door. The interior was pretty much the same as I left it, as pristine as before, but I wasn’t here to admire the scenery. I went upstairs and looked at the corridor with ten doors, leading to bedrooms and bathrooms. I glanced at the one with his name plate, but quickly skipped over it, wanting to delay the inevitable search. I searched the other rooms, but they were merely repetitions of the same. The furniture in the bedrooms were wrapped in plastic bags, untouched as dust seemed to cover every inch of the room. The bathrooms were similar, untouched. I took in a deep breath, before phasing through the door and entered Victor’s room. I blinked in surprise, although I shouldn’t have been, but the room was incredibly neat. The bed was neatly covered in beautiful velvet sheets, there was a table and chair with lamp on top, a walk in closet with a mirror and a small bookshelf filled with books. There was also another flower in his room, but this one looked a bit different from the others. It was a rose with completely black petals with red thorns on it and the waters that surrounded it looked like the mist that I saw around my core. It changed between different colors, giving it a stark contrast to the black rose

‘Okay, that’s obviously a magic plant and the ones down stairs definitely have magical properties as well. Why does he have so many magical plants in his house? Did he know they were magical when he first got them? But that would mean he knew about supernaturals too. Then, does that mean…that he has been lying to me all this time.’ I thought and I felt a bit sad at the thought. I took a picture of the black rose and headed downstairs. I took pictures of the other flowers as well, before walking towards a white door in the living room. I looked at the door and sighed before I phased my hand through the door.
*Vrrrrrrrrr.*
My phone vibrated and I quickly took my hand out of the door answered the phone call. Looking at the caller id, I could tell it was Sasha.
“Hey Sasha what’s up?” I asked
“I should be the one asking you that. You sound fine, are you fine?” She asked and I smiled
“Yes, I’m fine. It turns out I caught a bug and I should be able to come to school next week.” I said
“That’s good to hear, I really miss you.” Sasha said
“Hey, Chrissy.” Jayce said
“Get out of my face you moron.” Sasha said annoyed and I could imagine her pushing Jayce away from her
“Either way Chrissy, I was wondering if you would be better by Sunday?” Sasha asked
“Why?” I asked
“Well, Victor is new to town, and I thought we could give him a tour of our humble village.” She said
“Of course, that would be great. It’s better than what I usually do on Sundays.” I said
“Great, try to get better by then. We are going to pick you” She said and hung up. I thought for a moment, I might not be able to go because technically I’m still grounded. But they would let me go given that I have a good reason. I decided to continue what I was doing before and started phasing through the door. My hand went through, and soon my entire body followed. Looking around, I could see rows of shelves with potted plants that had a slight bio luminescence, illuminating the room a bit. These plants were clearly of the magical variety. I could see another shelf, filled with wine bottles.
“Great, don’t tell me he’s a drunk.” I sighed in disappointment, but I quickly got over my disappointment as their was another white door. I was about to phase through that one as well, but I felt a faint hunger pang, and I checked my magical energy and I realized that I had used all the magical energy that I got from Victor’s blood today. I clicked my tongue and decided that it would be better to leave now.
