The tale of the mundaneThe gifted wield the spirit of the world, this gives them magic. That’s what they tell us anyway.. Whatever thats supposed to mean.The rest of us are the mundane, people without magic and no hope of casting it. Cursed to live mundane lives. Without magic ability, there is little hope for a young man like myself to live a better life than that of a merchant or perhaps a skilled laborer.Not that that’s all bad, but some of us want to see the world, live a little. Fight dragons and explore the depths of the dungeons and all that, you know? Like the heroes in our bedtime stories. However unlikely that would be as a mundane.. I decided to try. For better or for worse, this was my story.
