Chapter Fourteen
The Nine Dragons Golden Buddha's staff has not appeared in the world for tens of thousands of years, and yet it is unexpectedly in the hands of this little nun. Da Yun's eyes revealed a greedy look, his eyes gleaming brightly, without blinking even once, and he responded:
"Comparing is no problem! But I don't know how to compare?"
"Choose between literary and military arts!"
"How is Wen Bixia? And what about Wu Zetian?"
"Wu Bi, let's have a fight outside, I'm afraid that if you can't control yourself, it will ruin your hundreds of years of hard work. Wen Bi, just compare our skills here, and even if you lose, it will only waste your decades of hard work as a warning!"
"Hmph! Is your confidence just a boast? Fine, I'll engage in a literary duel with you! But what do you want to wager?"
"Anyone who is like my treasure will do."
"This... I'm afraid there isn't such a high-level Buddhist treasure or ritual object in this place."
"This is a library, where precious books are stored. Of course, only those of great value."
"There is a nameless Taoist book here, its words are ancient and abstruse, no one can understand it, but I don't know what it is, it has been placed here for a long time, but it must be of great value!"
"Is it a divine book that no one can understand?"
"There is also a book that is a Daoist technique, called 'Yin Yang Bian', which discusses the method of strengthening one's spiritual awareness, and obtaining precious and rare things."
"Is there a precedent for transmigrating one's physical body?"
"This is not it! However, there is a small booklet in this temple that involves this method. I don't know how to add this book."
Dà Yún Chán Shī dǎo: "I'm worried."
"Alright! Although it's still far from being as good as my treasure, you've tried your best, so I'll barely pass it!"
Then they placed the ritual objects and scriptures on a jade plate. The ritual objects shone brightly, with precious light flashing, truly a great treasure of the immortal family.
The two sat down, ready to cast their spells. Suddenly, Master Dayun transmitted a mysterious message through his divine consciousness:
"The little monk just wanted to vent his anger, but I'd rather turn this evil creature into a jade silk."
"This is a matter between you and your fellow disciples, it has nothing to do with me! We'd better just gamble and fight!"
That great cloud Zen master's eyes flashed, his heart secretly thinking:
"If I defeat him, then all will be well! The advantages of this battle are as great as heaven. If I lose, however, I absolutely cannot have any people who might pose a threat to me around!"
He then said to Jin Chan'er:
"Please wait!"
That big cloud suddenly pointed to Duo Wen, and a mournful cry like a ghost's wail was heard. Duo Wen fell backwards. Jin Chan'er opened her eyes wide and saw that the man had been shattered in his primordial spirit, his cultivation ruined, from now on he would be mad and stupid, and have nothing to do with the immortal Tao!
"Great Cloud Zen Master, it's not easy for ordinary people to cultivate, after hundreds of years they barely condense their original spirit, and then suddenly destroy it. Aren't you afraid that your mental state will be restricted, and your cultivation will be unable to progress further?"
"Hum! This is a matter between my master and disciple, it has nothing to do with you!"
"Alright! You attack first!"
Jin Chan'er said lightly, glancing casually at the swastika-shaped Buddhist symbol on the golden Buddha statue in the temple.
The great cloud heard with great joy. This is the method of recognizing the divine, first attacking to gain the upper hand, using the power of recognizing the divine to attack the opponent's recognized divine realm - the realm of recognition, if the realm of recognition is broken, then the light ones will become stupid and the heavy ones will scatter and be reborn, there is no escape. This is a method that can be achieved in one move, achieving the goal of defeating a strong enemy. There is absolutely no room for compromise with others.
"In that case, I'll take the lead."
Dahyun exerted his mighty Vajra divine power to urge his consciousness to attack. Suddenly, his consciousness condensed into a golden Buddha light that emanated from his Dharma body in all directions, rushing towards Jinchang'er. Jinchang'er also didn't dare to slow down, condensing the accomplishments of her thousand-year-old consciousness to defend herself. Her body emitted five-colored radiant lights that formed a dense and thick Dharma sphere. Dahyun's consciousness transformed Buddha light suddenly changed, turning into dark-colored light blades that stabbed at Jinchang'er's five-colored Dharma sphere in all directions.
"Hmm! Devil Slash! A high-ranking Buddhist monk is using a demonic technique, how interesting!"
Jin Chan'er didn't have time to think much, the Ten Thousand Demon Blades had already fallen outside her body, with a loud and powerful momentum. However, the five-colored Dharma ball only flickered slightly before returning to normal. Da Yun was shocked, his 100% concentrated spiritual power had no effect! He furrowed his brow, chanting incantations continuously, as the Ten Thousand Demon Blades flashed with dark light, condensing into a massive demon sword several meters long, slashing down towards the five-colored Dharma ball in mid-air. Jin Chan'er felt annoyed and released the Dharma ball, allowing the demon sword to slash inside. Da Yun was overjoyed, his concentrated spiritual power breaking through the Dharma ball and entering Jin Chan'er's spiritual realm. But the next moment, Da Yun only felt his spiritual realm tighten, as if struck by lightning, with unbearable pain. Then, there was a loud shattering sound, like porcelain breaking, as the demon ball condensed from his spiritual power suddenly collapsed. Da Yun let out a loud cry, falling backwards, his Yin-Yang combined cultivation instantly dropping an entire level, returning to the peak of the Dao. It turned out that Da Yun had wanted to use the Six Spirits Materialization Technique to destroy Jin Chan'er's spiritual realm, thereby destroying her spirit and ruining her life! Jin Chan'er was furious at his ruthless heart, so she used the Locking Spirit Technique in her spiritual realm, using her own spirit to seize his condensed six spirits' divine consciousness. She first locked it within her spiritual realm, then destroyed most of Da Yun's Six Spirits, leaving only his original spirit intact. This way, even if Da Yun were to cultivate again, he would need several hundred years to recover.
"Although the Six Gods' power is formidable and can easily take a person's life, everything has its pros and cons! Your Six Gods are easy to build up, but once you're controlled by someone, your Six Gods will be destroyed and your life and family will be in danger! I'm hurting your Six Gods now because I know how hard it is for you to cultivate. If I were the one being hurt, you probably wouldn't let me leave alive either. But don't worry, that's what you are capable of, I am a man of my word. However, from now on, you'd better discipline your disciples well, otherwise, the grudge will be pursued and you won't end up well either!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a flash of golden light appeared and then his figure completely disappeared.
Not long after Jin Chan'er left the valley, a swastika-shaped symbol suddenly appeared on the Buddha statue in the Xin Fo Tower of the Dafo Temple, emitting golden Buddhist light. Several beams of golden light spun down to the ground, conjuring up several senior monks, who were actually the abbot of the temple, Master Hong Fa, and other virtuous monks. They saw that Master Yun Chuan was injured and hastily asked:
"Junior brother, what's going on? We were in the middle of our cultivation when I suddenly felt a chill and came to check on you. What's this? You've been injured?"
"Big Brother, it's a female nun from the Miaofa An temple. She came to our valley today looking for me and got into an argument with me. That nun actually killed my disciple Duowen and also injured me. She snatched several Buddhist scriptures from me and escaped!"
The great cloud has covered up its true feelings and spoken with a deceitful tongue.
"Where is this person now?"
"I don't know, I'm afraid it's already gone too far!"
"Junior brother, your injury is quite severe!"
"Please, senior brother, take charge! She... she... she has knocked me down a whole level!"
"Ah! That person... that person... Junior brother, don't be in a hurry, let us go and catch up. For hundreds of years, no one has dared to hurt my high-ranking monk! Let alone the fact that cultivation is not easy, but this person actually directly destroyed someone's cultivation! It's really unbearable! We must give you justice!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a group of high-ranking monks departed together.
Jin Chan'er flew out of the valley, sending a green bird to deliver a divine talisman to Xin Zhi, only reminding her to be careful. She temporarily sought the protection of Miao Fa An's Zen Master Tai. If anyone asked about Jin Chan'er again, she would pretend not to know clearly. Then, she flew straight into the clouds and disappeared.
Master Hongfa and others flew up, also rushed to the clouds and opened their six senses to look around, but there was no one in sight. They had no choice but to look at each other in dismay and return to the mountain gate.
"Come and see for yourself."
"Yes."
Here is the translation:
Before long, Zen Master Heart and several nuns arrived on a cloud, descending at the entrance of the Nurturing Heart Pavilion. They then entered the Heart Buddha Hall, but Great Cloud Zen Master was not there. In front of the great Buddha, Zen Master Heart chanted Buddhist incantations, and the swastika-shaped Buddhist talisman emitted golden light that enveloped them and took them in. Inside, it was vast and boundless, with a radius of hundreds of miles. The sky and earth were a hazy yellow color. Although there were clouds drifting lazily across the pale yellow sky, there was no feeling of even a gentle breeze on one's face - it was truly wondrous. In the mountains and waters, everything was lush and green, with divine trees, rare grasses, exotic flowers, and precious fruits. All of these emitted faint, subtle fragrances. There were also large and small medicine gardens scattered throughout, whose aromas refreshed one's heart and spirit, and invigorated one's mind upon smelling them. This was the mystical space of the Land of Immortals. In the midst of the green mountains and clear waters, there were ancient temples and monasteries, with nearly a hundred monks inside, either meditating, practicing their skills, or performing magic spells - all in different locations. There was a small temple where several monks were sweeping the path at the entrance, but when they saw someone arrive, they didn't ask any questions and let them pass. Zen Master Heart also didn't say anything, using her magic to bring a clear breeze that led her disciples to the central great temple.
He then returned to the Grand Temple, entered the temple and proceeded to the Mahavira Hall. In the center of the hall, under a golden Buddha statue, sat a monk on a meditation cushion with kind eyebrows and eyes. With his hands clasped together in reverence, he trembled slightly as he bowed down to pay respects:
"Great Buddha is well, Zen heart pays respects to the Buddha ancestors!"
She gazed at Chan Xin Dao:
"Hmm, Zen Xin, let's talk about the hanging nun."
"Yes! This nun's name is Jin Chang'er, and she has been here for a year. She is a nun from the Bai Cao An temple, and all her certificates are in order. Every day, she diligently performs her duties, and pays attention to every detail, big or small. There hasn't been any incident that has gone beyond bounds. Her relationships with the other nuns in the temple are also very good. Perhaps, after living together for a long time, some of the other nuns have discovered something about her. This nun is following me too... whether the Buddha will..."
"Uh-huh."
The great Buddha nodded slightly.
"The Buddha is above, disciples knock their heads!"
He saw the great masters and others standing on both sides, paying homage with Buddhist rituals. He also saw his master's ancestor, Chan Xin Shang Shi, greeting him with a kneeling ceremony. He realized that this old monk was the legendary Buddha Patriarch of the Great Buddha Temple, whose skills had already reached the realm of great perfection, and who could ascend to the heavens as an immortal in just half a step. He was the highest deity in this world! He hastily prostrated himself on the ground, knocking his head with great reverence.
"Alright, alright, go ahead and say it."
"Yes! Buddha!"
Xin Zhi knelt down and kowtowed:
"That Jinchun'er is matchlessly beautiful and intelligent, good at learning. Disciple once brought her to the Scripture Storage Temple to recite Buddhist scriptures. Her cultivation is roughly at the peak of the Dharma Body realm. Hmm, other matters are similar to what disciple's master knows!"
"You're by its side, can you smell its demonic aura?"
"Hmm, her body fragrance is wonderful, sleeping with her will greatly benefit my cultivation!"
"Oh! It has shed its demonic body and is about to ascend to the heavens! This demon may be the only cultivator to ascend to the higher realm in nearly ten thousand years! Are we doomed to merely look up to it?"
The Buddha's ancestor muttered to himself for a long time before continuing:
"Thanks to the blessings! This woman has left, and the troubles of our Great Buddha Temple are over! You all go down and cultivate diligently, don't come back to disturb me again. I'm going to close the gate of death, and won't leave until I reach the peak of great perfection!"
He vanished suddenly as if he had never been there at all.
"Alas! Let's just drop it! This matter ends here."
"But Master Fangzhang, I...I...I fell into a realm for no reason!"
"Junior brother, you also heard the teachings of our ancestor just now. That person is even feared by our ancestor, let alone us! You should focus on diligent practice and making up for your shortcomings. It's good that next time when you upgrade your realm, there won't be any bottlenecks again."
"Alas... Alas...... Oh!"
The great cloud hung its head and followed the crowd out of the grand hall to its own temple, closing the door for diligent cultivation. Although many monks had doubts in their hearts, they ordered the Buddha's ancestors to lower their status and come here, but their purpose was really incomprehensible, yet what could be done?
