  Chapter 222 Part B5

  The battle continued.

  "Shun! You must focus on defense and saving power. The true enemy has not revealed itself! Save your strength! Don't leave the room!" the Scarred Fae's voice echoed in my mind through telepathy.

  Eh... wow. I had been about to leave the hotel area.

  But even so... the massive tentacle bsts were insanely difficult to hold off. We just kept fighting them and severing them as they came at us.

  Another tentacle barrage came, shooting the tips of the tentacles at us as the tentacles themselves stretched, coming from outside the windows from...something out there that was too dark to see. This time they tried to pull back before we could sever them. But Sylvie's lightning bolt spell was devastating to them. I also used the windmill spin mana bde trick that Sunghee was using which she'd learned from me!

  The windmill spin bde move would and could sever multiple tentacles even with that many coming at us. But it required immense strength to pull off.

  We were holding on! I could feel it! Over and over we kept severing tentacles shooting at us.

  ...

  But the endless stamina of the enemy could not be undone.

  "I'm... getting tired," Sunghee said after the 21st tentacle barrage after The Scarred Fae's voice had reached me. By now several minutes had passed.

  "Hang on Sunghee. We're almost through this," I said.

  "Any idea what to do?" Sylvie asked. "There must be a head to the snake to cut off right?" She was leaning a bit against a room pilr, while grimacing; from exhaustion.

  But this time the Scarred Fae's voice was hard by all of us; Sylvie, Sunghee, Me, and Ayumi. "Don't leave your position. Maintain a defensive position. The enemy wants you to leave your building. To bait you out. There the true ambush lies..."

  The voice faded. "You must buy time! Shun! Only you can do this! The entity trying to beat you is a HERO SLAYER!"

  "What the F___! Did she just say hero syer?!" Ayumi cried in shock.

  "Sh-she did say hero syer! What the f---. We can't fight a hero syer... heroes are supposed to be powerful! Like the top of the top!" Sunghee said cringing and trying to not give into despair.

  Ayumi's legs are shaking now. I can't bme her after hearing that thing is a hero syer.

  We then beat off another tentacle wave. And then another.

  "But I'm losing mana..." Sylvie said while wiping sweat away.

  "I'm hanging in there. But its difficult," Sunghee reported.

  The tentacle barrages changed this time. Instead of coming at us from the front the whole mass of dozens of them appeared to be shooting from the left. Then we'd sy them... and then there'd be more coming from the right side after.

  An hour passed...

  "I-I c-c-an't do any more Shun! I'm... exhausted," Sylvie said.

  Eh?! I didn't think Sylvie would run out of power!

  The tentacle bsts came. "Evade to the right!" I yelled.

  I picked up Sylvie, who had just fainted. And then hopped like Sylvie would. Sunghee and Ayumi followed suit dodging the tentacles. The barrage struck the floor hard, and now there's a big hole in the floor.

  "Sylvie! Wake up!" I cried.

  "I... I'm too weak... used too much... power," She gasped.

  "I can't hang on much longer either," Ayumi said.

  I didn't give up though. If anything, i was going to fight harder. I would shield my women from this evil. No matter what it takes. Sometimes I had to pull Sunghee or Ayumi out of the way of a tentacle. But I kept them alive.

  We survived 2 more tentacle barrages, while I basically had Sylvie over my shoulders carrying her like a farmer might carry a calf; she's so tall this is the only way.

  Then we heard ughter. Evil ughter. It was... twisted and mocking. A voice that was non-human. It even sounded more like an entity than a person. "Do you admit defeat? All you have to do is give in!" the harsh voice called.

  We didn't even bother to reply.

  But this time the tentacles trying to stab at us lowered while we ran around the room. Yet as they did so, more holes are poppoing up in the floor. We'd run in circles with Ayumi and Sunghee keeping even with me. With my buff spells I could still run while carrying the tall Sylvie draped over my shoulders but it was using energy. The daemon prince job css let me do that without losing stamina.

  "Hop left. Then watch that hole to the right," I called out as the tentacle barrages kept chasing us and hitting the floor or air when they missed. We avoided holes in the floor barely.

  "I'm.... Help...Shun! De-summmon me! AHHHH!" Ayumi screamed when she couldn't hang on.

  I de-summoned her just as a tentacle went through where she was standing. Whew that was close. The tentacle in question hit a support pilr for the building and the whole room shook from the echoing force and violence.

  "There's only 2 of you left. You aren't doing well... if you surrendur, and give us your women we'll spare your life," the evil voice cackled. "You are... beaten. Shun. You have no idea what is in front of you..." Then more twisted ughter. Laughter like many voices.

  I was trying to figure out who it was.

  That voice... did I know them? Who was that?

  We kept running. Dodging and evading.

  "I'm... getting... tired," Sunghee gasped.

  "Hang on," I said.

  I ended up de-summoning Sylvie just then. I also have pulled off soul crystals equipped on everyone except me and Sunghee. Even though Sunghee was tired, she was doing better than Sylvie, who had exhausted her mana. She could hang on a bit more.

  "You can't fight much longer. This won't end well. Your teammates are dropping like flies... to be licked. We like licking... ," the evil voice cried.

  And it did something different this time. It shot some kind of evil fire at us in a big fmethrower style gout that erupted throughout the middle of the floor from outside the doors. But I'd predicted the attack was coming. So I grabbed Sunghee around the waist and jumped to the left.

  With my supernatural abilities, the jump was 15 feet to the left, easily dodging the fmes. And like other supernatural elements the fmes went out right away. Sunghee was untouched.

  Interesting move...

  I didn't let go of Sunghee though. I just held her like a parent holding a child around the waist with her tucked under my arm. I felt the malice of this evil being to be so big I didn't dare put Sunghee down now!

  "Sung... get ready to do that windmill bde spin... now!" I cried.

  I used a move I hadn't done before. I'd artificially created a mana tail and wrapped Sunghee's waist with it. Then I used the tail sso to sort of throw her outwards, and yelled "Now!" Sunghee used the bde spin move. And while I'd thrown her like chain sickle, I didn't release her waist and instead just pulled her through the air back to my position. Then retracted the tail to catch her in my arms.

  "Holy cow that was cool!" Sunghee said in awe. "C-can you do that again?"

  "You severed 8 tentacles just now," I reported.

  "Nice." she's tired but ughed with me.

  They attacked, again. And again. And again. in the same way always with tentacles. And about once every 30 tentacle bsts there's a fire area hit. Which I can move out of the way of. This team move with Sunghee with both of us connected was perfect and we beat tons of tentacles this way.

  But... the tentacles were slowing down. The st 30 tentacle bst hits had become increasingly slower with every strike. And there were less tentacles.

  "Su-surrendur now Shun! I know who you are...what you are...weakkkkk!" the voice gasped.

  "It sounds kind of pitiful now," Sunghee said with sadness in her voice.

  "That's because his life force is fading. Isn't it?" I asked.

  "Deploy Mallory now, Shun. But use a mana tail tether on her waist like you did with Sunghee," a voice called out. This time again it sounded like the Scarred Fae, Only it wasn't telepathic. It was as if she was really there.

  Where is she? I hoped she'd guide us...

  !

  "Who....YOU! You are the one who has always thrwarted us! We HATTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YOU!" the evil demon voice cried.

  And then we see his silouette. A massive silouette that was entering the doorway. It reminded me of this one movie series' evil unbeatable boss, that nothing could win against. It felt so dark like no sunlight could reach this world while that being was there. It was terrible to behold. Yet somehow it was also like shadow also obscurring his features.

  Its finally ... the final boss battle. This guy is showing himself. I'd been anxious to reveal who he was this whole time. In every story, the cunning vilins would try to deceive who they are and hide till the st scenes. This was like that.

  Only I could stand up to him... it also took all my willpower to do so.

  And then I see Nero, trying to crawl towards us. The evil entity was ... Nero?! The guy we'd recently met? How?! He's so weak he can't even stand. Nero, the incubus demon had entered the hotel. And he had...somehow damaged himself. Its like he was too weak and old to move.

  "What... happened to him?" Sunghee asked.

  "Its a trick. Send Mallory in to take his head. Burn the body," the Scarred Fae's voice called out.

  Ah! She's right! He almost tricked us! The first impression of an impossible evil boss was the right impression! The weakling dying guy image was an illusion spell he'd tried to use on us to get us to lower our guards! How cunning!

  "Mallory! I need you! Execute him!" I called out shouting as I summoned her. The vampire appeared fast within the blink of an eye. But then seeing that guy even she hesitated in fear; and she didn't even know how to fear. That's how terrible this boss was!

  Mallory... the most powerful minion I had. You couldn't even see her move, she was so fast. There was just a snip like cutting. And then Nero's head rolled to the ground.

  ...

  ...

  Was it over?

  And then I was depressed as some inner voice in my told me it was far from over.

  "Mallory! Stay back!" I warned.

  Just in time she dodged him. Just as Mallory was almost out of reach of him, Nero's arms had become bdes and cut at her even as he'd lost his head. He was still fighting us! Still able to fight! He wasn't even close to death!

  But then something blurred by and hit him, hit Nero! And instead of hitting Mallory hitting him, I see a white knight elf statue there, in crystal white that had blocked every blow from Nero. It kept hitting him but getting hit itself. Nero was pounding the living hell out of it also, yet it hit him back and forth they went with damage of unbelievable proportions on each other, yet only taking slivers of scratches and cracks on their bodies.

  "Don't stop! I will cover you. Don't underestimate him. Even without his head, and gravely wounded he can destroy you Shun. Shun guide Mallory when I say so. Until then stay back," the Scarred Fae's voice called out.

  From the statue? What? She was...somehow her voice and power was guiding that elf statue as a golem.

  "She's... in the statue?" Sunghee asked, leaning on me heavily from exhaustion.

  "No. That's her golem. I can feel it. Its an advanced golem warrior. It carries her energy," Mallory called out to us.

  "Mallory stay back! He's still dangerous," I yelled.

  "Its the perfect trap....but you will lose Shun. I am ... invincible," Nero the incubus called out. He was bleeding badly with arterial spray... not red but some kind of goo bck shooting out his severed neck. But his head still wouldn't shut up as he was fighting the Scarred Fae's golem warrior. And in fact, he was so powerful he didn't even need to pick up his head!

  His head even grimaced and smiled at us while we stared in open mouthed shock.

  "Look for an opening but don't get close. Not until the right timing," I told Mallory.

  "Got it boss," she said.

  The Scarred Fae's white elf knight golem was trading sword blows with the incubus's vile sword arms so many times per second that I couldn't even see it clearly. I could vaguely catch sight of bdes ricocheting off each other, but the speed was like the bdes of a propellor of an airpne it was so fast! And sparks were showering the room all over the pce from such high speed sword dance that it was like thousands of sparks, everywhere PER SECOND!

  I couldn't even comprehend how to fight on speed and might this powerful! thousands and thousands of bde sparks! It was almost like fireworks dispys going off with sounds of metal wrecking metal from the bdes.

  Yet the white elf knight golem continued to fight. He'd get hit sometimes but not get pushed back. And even as he got hit, he was cutting up the bde arms of Nero's headless body that WOULD NOT STOP fighting!

  "My g-d... he's invincible!" Sunghee said in awe.

  "Mallory! Now! His tail!" the Scarred Fae called out.

  Quicker than lighning Mallory did some kind of advanced bde step and the incubus' tail was severed at the 40% mark. Mallory herself had his tail which she had on the end of sword, being afraid to touch such a vile demon's parts directly. Yet as she blurred by the tail was trying to stab her still.

  "Burn the tail!" I cried to Mallory.

  Mallory ignited something and the guy's tail is burning, in the corner of the room. Then she's back trying to sever the rest of it. But she can't get close to him.

  "Got you now bitch!" Mallory flipped him off.

  But then... Mallory had to dodge several times as the thing shot nails from its hands at her. Mallory twisted and ducked with insane speed. I had to get behind a pilr since I wasn't as fast as Mallory.

  "OH shit... I love you Shun!" Mallory gasped as she saw she wasn't going to be able to dodge in time. She was tricked into running too close to him.

  Nero kicked Mallory all the way across the room with such force that I feared she'd be 1 shot killed.

  I felt her life force leaving. Uh oh... nooo

  Fuck...

  "Mallory...! YOu can't leave!" I gasped.

  "Shun stay back. You can't fight him. Only I can," the Scarred Fae cried. Through the white elf knight golem she was continuing to try to wear him down.

  I retracted the mana tether in tail shape back onto Mallory and lifted her out of rubble from afar. Her body was lifeless and unmoving. I pulled her closer. And feared she was gone.

  "Mallory!" I yelled.

  No response.

  Then I even kissed her on her red vampire lips. And strangely it worked to revive her. I felt a huge gush of mana flow through both of us. And then she's choking as she tries to get moving and live again (or whatever you would call a vampire being brought back.)

  Ping!

  "I knew only you could do it Shun," the voice of the Scarred Fae said in awe. "Only a pure soul could revive someone that close to death!"

  "What...?" Sunghee is staring at me in shock.

  Then Nero looked at us. He stared in shock finally. "What... No. She was dead. I stole her spirit even. How did you..." his body twitched as if he was suddenly afraid.

  And... that was just enough time for the Scarred Fae's white knight to capitalize on Nero's distraction.

  Snip...

  Nero's arm was now severed up to the elbow on his left arm. And Just like that I had Mallory grab it.

  "You fools. YOu know nothing! I'm only warming up! This isn't the end... only the beginning!" Nero's sick and twisted evil voice cried out. He was ughing at us like it didn't even matter that his ... head, tail, and arm were missing.

  "Uh oh. He's about to do something. I can feel the mana build up," I said in awe.

  I couldn't even get close enough to fight him. Only Mallory and the Scarred Fae could fight him...

  "System, unleash body power limiter," Nero said next.
