  I stood up like I was on fire,

  “W-w-what are you doing, Ruby?”.

  Ruby was wearing a rather loose blouse today. And when she bowed down just now, it revealed...

  “Hm? I was just trying to help you feel your Magic Power.”

  “Can, can we do that while standing up? I would feel more comfortable this way.”

  Ruby tilted her head in confusion, ‘weirdo,’ but agreed nonchalantly, “Ok... just close your eyes and try to focus on your inner self.”

  When I closed my eyes again, Ruby began sending Magic through my Body.

  It was a warm feeling rushing over and through my Body. It reminded me of when I took a warm bath with my mother.

  Unlike last time, though, nothing should “distract” me this time.

  This time, I could feel the Magic flowing through me, following intricate paths in my Body. Eventually, nestling in my lower Stomach before dissipating.

  “And? How was it?”

  When I opened my eyes, Ruby’s face was right in front of me.

  “Uwah, stop it!”

  “Hehehe, never.”

  “Sometimes I liked you better before you could speak.”

  “Ohh, come on, don’t be like that. So how was it?”

  Sigh

  I really can’t hate her.

  “It was... well... it felt ‘good’; it’s just that the path the Magic took through me was a bit too complicated... Uhm, could you do it one more time?”

  “Mmmmh, I wasn’t expecting you to get it right the first time, either. Hell, it took me ages to form my core. But you are very close. The next step is to feel the Magic around you.”

  I looked around, trying to maybe find this Magic she was talking about.

  “No silly Magic is invisible in its natural state. Even my Magic sense isn’t good enough to see it, jet.”

  “Come, let’s sit back down and close your eyes again.”

  “Do you still remember the feeling?”

  I nod

  “Good, now the next part is rather vague. All you have to do is circulate your Magic inside your Body, the same way to trace the paths to where new Magic is entering your Body.”

  “I wish I had a better answer or teaching method, but this is how I was taught.” ‘The other souls in god’s realm were really shitty teachers.’

  That was indeed rather vague. But I still did as I was told and tried to recreate what I felt with my own Magic. Eventually, I noticed a lot of tiny places on my Body where new Magic was trickling in. My Magic, even though I couldn’t see it, felt kind of green. While the new Magic Power was kind of colorless.

  “I think I got it, but it seems there are a lot of entryways, and I think there is more ‘natural’ Magic inside of me than even my own.”

  ‘What the fuck is he talking about a lot of entryways? Even more natural Magic than his own?’

  “Uhm Ok. Ehm now you just...”

  “Is everything alright?”

  “Yes! Yes, don’t open your eyes, just jet.” ‘I must look like an idiot right now. ‘

  “Oh, Ok.”

  “Great, now try to intertwine your Magic with the natural Magic. Pool it together in your lower Stomach and spin it faster and faster. Once you think it can’t go any faster, compress it into the smallest ball possible.”

  I took a deep breath and tried my best, following Ruby’s instructions. The natural Magic intertwined like snow melting in water. At first, it was a huge mountain of snow melting in a small green pond. Slowly and surely, however, it soon became a small snowball in a vast green Ocean.

  After I completed the first part, I began to pool the Magic around my lower Stomach. Before, the Magic was a loose light green, occupying my entire Body. But now it was a deep green puddle.

  I began to spin it faster and faster. It became so fast that just thinking about it made me dizzy. When I felt like it couldn’t go any quicker, it went even beyond that.

  Now, I must compress it. I pushed it together more and more while maintaining the same speed. And then, after what felt like hours, it stopped spinning.

  Ruby’s Side:

  Ok, what is going on? I only had about twelve entryways at the beginning. Usually, the first step is gathering a lot of natural Magic until your Body is saturated. How does he already have all this? It took me years to even collect, spin, and form the dam core in the most magic-filled place in existence!

  But my Suprise didn’t stop there. After I told him how to do it, he just took one deep breath, and I swear he hasn’t moved for Hours literal hours. If this continues, I might have to interrupt him before he finishes.

  When I was almost ready to interrupt him, he jolted awake like he had a bad dream.

  “Huff, Huff Ha Ruby! I did It!”

  “Huh?”

  “Huff, I formed, Ha, a core, a magic core!” I stared at him, Mouth agape.

  Life truly is unfair.
