Did I get paid for a hard day's work? Do you think I was on some drugs and none of that happened right?!
Well, I'm happy to say that, yes, it did happen! Why? Where's my evidence?
A trio of bank cards and an advanced Welcoming bonus mail with a fat wad of cash of an extra 100k rupees. All under my pillow.
“I'm living good bro”.
Yay, I'm getting paid lots of money just to fight, man this is easier than I thought. All I have to do is keep this up. An honestly, it's like those video games that my cousins py all the time. This is too easy!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Easy Money!
This is seriously the best day ever!!

“Screw that teacher”.
I was walking home from school again, but this time I wasn’t an amicable experience. I completely forgot about the assignment for today and was forced to do it in css, I even missed lunch. I was over the moon because of the money I received, but now I was so angry by the teacher's treatment.
“Hey”
“……”
“Hey! Hey”.
“….”
“RAVI!”.
“…….Hey Singh”.
“What do mean by “Hey”, I was right next to you for five minutes!”.
Sighing, a guy whose just as hopeless as Ravi when it comes to life. The tallest in school but the lowest in grades, that is Joti Singh. A middle-css youth living off his grandmas gold. His family and mine were a bit close.
As we walked down the ne towards the bus stop, dodging the incoming masses of people and jumping onto the bus that just arrived. I kept thinking that Singh really was an idiot since he doesn’t live around here.
“Hey Singh, you don’t live next to me, you know that, right?”
“Yeah, but aunty said I need to check up on you”.
“Aunty said that…….”.
“Yeah, she thinks uncle is being a bad influence”.
“Okay”.
Honestly, arguments would only cause problems ter on. And who cares what they think, I just need to keep up an image. And with the new problems I have, its best to stay with uncle.
After a couple of stops, the bus came to my district. I and Singh got off and started walking on the same path I used yesterday. My house started to peek out from the horizon as we walked. A two-story old home built in 1999. Cobblestone shell and varied brown.
I don’t like Singh, I see him as someone I have to deal with. My family says I will change, but I doubt it since I really don’t like Singh in any capacity. His annoying and loud, he follows trends and ideas from others. He doesn’t seem real, like a shadow. I don’t like people like that.
“So, how's life? Aunty wants to know if you're eating and sleeping on time”.
The real reason he followed me comes forth.
“Everything is good, I eat well and on time. Sleeping every time at 8pm”.
I don’t want to deal with this crap. He will take my words and give them to Aunty; she will analyze everything till she finds a fault. And then destroy my oasis for what she believes is goodwill.
As I put away my backpack, I gnced toward my room and saw something that shouldn’t be there. It gleamed in its mahogany and glowed a blue tint.
“Hey, Singh”.
“What?….”
“I need you go ask the neighbors if they have sugar”.
“What? Come on man”.
Singh grumbled as he got up and walked out the door. We do have sugar, but the nearest neighbor was actually gone to Chennai Central for a couple days.
As I saw him disappear from view, I ran back to the house and got my preparations ready: Food, water, and a machete.
I ran to the Door; I was bit anxious to start. But I calmed myself down and grabbed the handle.
..
..
..
It was night.
Dark and cold, this was a night I have never seen in my life. I was used to the yellowish saturated light of Chennai. My farm home did have a good night sky without pollution, but I did still see the yellowish and bluish tint sometimes. But this worlds night was devoid of the pollution, the night sky somewhat glowed with the many stars and astronomical phenomena popping out. Honestly, I should have brought a phone. It was so beautiful and majestic. But as I brought my eyes from the sky, I looked at the frightening dark forests toward me. I was a bit afraid, but those fears disappeared when i was entranced by the sparkling lights of what seemed to be fireflies twinkling away.
I opened up my SkillBook and looked through the contents.

‘Unbanced as heck, why is my damage and resistance so low…..Oh it because I don’t have armor or anything else'.
So, I grabbed my Bow and my arrow pouch. I put away the machete inside the Storage and looked around the scenery.
With a sigh, I began hiking through the maze of trees while examining the MAP section. Slipping past root tendrils that spit out from the ground and dodging the loose rocks, I felt that my journey was going to be a long one. That’s when I heard a ping, I hurriedly looked at the SkillBook.
Six red dots running in circles. Just 30 meters away. I went to Storage and grabbed the bde I had gotten from the Four Hunters, looked around and found some straightish branches.
Time to work.
Grabbing the branches, I break them and then start carving. The Red Teachers taught this was a more efficient way to get the most arrows and darts quicker. Quantity over quality. As I rummaged through the branches for the best material, I noticed that a strange blemish was in the middle.
“Hey SkillBook, can’t you give me a more accurate look or something”.
The page containing the MAP, turned bck and then into a 3D map of the area. It was a 1.6 kilometres across, it was almost like a camera. I peered closer to the six dots that glowed in the horizon of the 3D image. The dots turned into doglike shapes prancing around. In the middle glowed a blue object that resembled a vase.
That looks important.
I'm really curious, this won't be my first time "hunting". But this will be the first for "monsters".
With my preparation ready, I ran toward where the enemy dots y. Jumping past anything I see.
