Section One-Chapter 15-Wolfman or Wolf-boy?

  …

  …

  “………..Those are not dogs”.

I shook my head in exasperation, I need bigger arrows. No, I need to use spears!

The animals that y beyond my eyes were some of the biggest things ever. Car sized monsters with wolf like hair surrounding their hide. Those red eyes that reflected death and glowed in the night. Their mouth was the size of my head.

As I looked around at the insane spectacle of several monster dogs prancing around, I saw what giving them excitement. It was a blue stone; it glowed immensely and was almost lurching me forward. I want to have it.

But as I peered down from the branch I was on top of, I kind of felt dizzy seeing the ground.

I looked back at the pack of monsters; I think it's time to attack but how?

Those beasts are too big, tricking doesn’t seem work because I would need speed and compared to those things its best not be rash. Traps need preparation and noise might alert them, if I build one and they give chase. I won't be able to outrun them fast enough.

I grab a few arrows and decide on a good kill from a distance. Its safe and those dogs can't dodge arrows in this pce without brushing against the trees. This part of the forest was too dense to even move. Any the pack and the stone were in a pretty clear pce with less woods in the way. I was safe. I notched an arrow and got ready.

Time to use the new Skill.

I activated the Skill, I suddenly felt my vision become almost strengthened, the image of the scenery becomes clearer than ever, and I saw what was in front of me in a perfect monochrome setting.

  “Snipe”.

I fired the arrow and whizzed past the many branches, hitting the eye socket of the closest one.

And that’s when I heard one of the most horrifying screams I have ever heard. I heard dogs scream before, but this was beyond ferocious. I flinched in fear and almost jumped back. The monster pack ran around in confusion, but I notched several more and activated “ONE SHOT BOW” .

Every time the arrows would nd, the monster dogs exploded.

Literally exploded, well the part of them where the arrows hit. Their intestines and entrails would burst forth and they would drop dead after walking for a second.

Seriously I really am lucky. If it wasn’t for meeting that dragon person yesterday, I wouldn't get stronger like this.

I looked at the SkillBook, it confirmed that all the beast died, it felt weird because why didn’t the beasts hide if the fellow beasts were being killed.

‘Not bad, my EXP increase and looks like ‘SNIPE’ got to intermediate level pretty fast. But I just killed over 11 and only got that many in EXP’.

‘The Map doesn’t show any beasts nearby, lets go’.

I slowly went down the trees and got onto the ground, I ran to the clearing where the corpses lied. With Bow in hand, I slowly trudged down the hill.

There I finally saw the corpses of the monsters, and honestly, I was a bit shocked by their insane size and leopard like skin. But they totally resembled dogs yet had leopard skin. Their snouts were just like a dog which protrude out and their ears were down.

I looked around slowly in caution and saw the prize. It was like a vase of stone, with strange letters. I think I know what happened. I saw this in a game once, where an important object was stolen by monsters and usually the hero was sent to get it.

  I walk to it.

I felt a bit dizzy as I walked toward it and before I touched it, a slew of nausea hit me.

I fell to my knees and a headache started to creep in.

I crawled away fast. The dizzy spell went away instantly as I got farther away, it seems I figure out what happened. This hunt was way too easy. This stone was around a group of beasts, and they were aimlessly drunk-looking, and they were the easiest to kill. The rest that was away from it dodged and attacked with more skill than some, but I got them in the end. Thank heavens the majority were next to it.

I was a bit curious, so I looked through the SkillBook MAP, there was nothing in my vicinity. So, it was pretty obvious what happened. The beasts might have stolen it, and it poisoned them.

But how did they steal it? Because if they can’t touch it or go near, then how?

  Or.

This might be a trap; this was too easy, wasn’t it? A glowing object that draws people in, this was just like a scam which means it was too good to be true.

I don’t know what that thing is, so I will avoid it. I wasn’t too happy leaving it after all the work I have done. But I'm afraid a trap has been id. So, it's best to leave without confirming. An honestly, this is a bit creepy when you looked at it.

I walked past the Stone and continued on my path. As I walked past the bodies, I began to spot a deeper clearing not so far away. I opened up the Skill Book and it stated that forest border of the Thesis Kingdom was just ahead.

“Lets go, maybe I can get some information”.

I jumped over roots and ran towards the clear, as I got closer the clearing came into view.

  The clearing was something.

Honestly it was majestic and almost fairy tale-like. The beautiful blue savannah-like pins were immense and stretched very far into the horizon. The night sky was so much clearer with a green tinge. The pink hills that were present, were so beautiful to the eyes.

I was in a state of flummox. But I began to walk.

I walked for a while, the forests that created the border disappeared from my view and the immense pins was all I saw.
