The Magician's Journey

  I hid in the magic tower and quietly looked out of the window, Teacher Ankala had walked out of the tower and stood face to face with a gaunt, white-haired man. A black mist surrounded him, sometimes transforming into crying human faces, sometimes into hellish demons, making people shiver at the sight. This undead great magician was not on the same level as the undead magician I killed outside the village. If I had met him back then, I probably would have lost the courage to fight. Of course, a magician like him could absolutely control more than just one corpse.

  "Ankara, you've finally decided to crawl out of your turtle shell?" Katchi let out a shrill, eerie laugh.

  "Katchi, after all these years, can't you put down the hatred in your heart?" Sighed teacher Ankara.

  "Hmph, not to crush your bones and scatter your ashes, would I give up? Only your death can eliminate the hatred in my heart! You took away my loved one, then tormented her, making her unhappy, and finally she had to die because of you! And me...and me...I loved her so deeply, yet got nothing, not even able to protect her until the end!" Katchi's words grew more agitated, his face increasingly ferocious. He raised his only arm, waving a staff with a skull on top, and a black flame sphere shot towards Ankala.

  Ankara teacher gently swung the magic wand in her hand, and a blue light burst out. A shield of ice appeared, blocking the fierce black flames that were about to engulf them. Ankara teacher said: "Katchi, Lays is deeply in love with me after all. Although I was indeed neglectful of her feelings and didn't spend enough time communicating with her, you must understand that we are truly husband and wife. You have no right to seduce my wife or intervene between us. It's you who killed Lays, and this is all your doing. Since you refuse to back down, I will come today to seek justice!"

  "Fairness? Haha, you actually dare to ask me for fairness? Alright, today I'll show you what true fairness is!" Katchi suddenly let out a strange sound towards Ankhara teacher, a wave of invisible sonic waves spread out, even I, hiding in the magic tower, couldn't help but cover my ears, the splitting headache made me crouch on the ground in agony. For a long, long time, the feeling of my soul being torn apart gradually faded away.

  When I stood up and looked out the window, I found that Teacher Ankara was standing there unscathed, with a faint blue glow emanating from his body. It was the advanced magic "Absolute Barrier". Teacher Ankara had explained this magic to us before. Apparently, "Absolute Barrier" is a wind-based defensive magic that uses high-speed rotation of wind elements to form a protective shield to deflect enemy attacks. In the hands of a skilled magician, even soul attacks can be withstood. Today, I finally got to see it in action.

  Katchi saw that the attack was ineffective, and immediately swung his magic wand. Behind him, flames of hell burned, and two giants covered in black flames descended from the sky, charging towards Ankhara teacher under Katchi's command.

  Ankara teacher inserted the magic wand in her hand into the ground, made a guiding gesture of water system with both hands, and two giant ice dragons, carrying a vast cold air, rushed towards the two giants. "Boom!" In an instant, the earth seemed to tremble, and the huge impact almost made me unable to hold onto the wall. A dazzling blue light flashed by, and the two giants were instantly frozen into ice blocks by the ice dragon, turning into two giant sculptures. The sculpture remained still for a moment before suddenly emitting a series of cracking sounds, and several obvious cracks extended from the two large ice blocks. Soon, the two large ice blocks shattered and turned into a mess of broken ice.

  Ankara teacher took the opportunity to launch a counterattack, he drew out the magic wand from the ground, gently waving it in the air, and a giant rock giant slowly stood up behind him, small pieces of dirt falling off its body. The rock giant was over 10 meters tall when it fully stood up, with two eyes shining red light.

  The Rock Giant, under the command of Teacher Ankara, walked towards Katch with heavy footsteps. With each step, the ground shook slightly. Even I was shocked to see this scene, as this was a magic that I had always looked down on. When Teacher Ankara taught me how to use it, I could only summon a small earthman that wasn't even as tall as me, and its movements were slow and required a lot of concentration to control. Any ordinary person could easily shatter it with one hit. I thought this magic was the most useless among all intermediate-level magics. Every time I practiced, I would complain about how such a useless magic existed in the world, but Teacher Ankara would always smile and praise me for mastering it well, telling me to keep practicing. In the end, I reluctantly developed a new function for it - having it help me serve tea and pour water. Although it was clumsy, it could still be used somehow.

  Today, when I saw Teacher Ankara use this magic, I realized that this magic is so powerful, the summoned rock giant is so strong and terrifying, the shock in my heart is probably unimaginable to anyone. If I had known that this magic was so fierce, if the summoned rock giant was so terrifying, I would never have let it help me carry water!

  As I was lost in thought, Katchi had already retreated dozens of steps. He retreated while creating many mud pits under the giant's feet, slowing down its advance. Countless dark magic attacks struck the giant, causing a massive rumble, and rocks continued to fall from the giant's body. Despite this, the rock giant charged towards Katchi. Katchi once again summoned two giants engulfed in black flames to block Ankhara teacher's rock giant. The three giants clashed on the empty ground between the two people, with the two black flame giants being smaller than the rock giant but managing to hold their own due to their numbers. In the end, the rock giant smashed the two black flame giants into pieces and itself stumbled.

  The giant rock creature gathered its last strength and took two steps towards Katchi, swinging its only arm at him with great effort. Katchi stood there, frozen in place, I reckon he was scared stiff by the sight.

  A massive rocky fist nearly smashed Katch's nose in, with a loud "BOOM", smashing a huge crater into the ground in front of him. The giant rock creature finally couldn't hold on and scattered apart.
