"Don't slow us down." Roxanne leapt off the crystal platform onto the next- much larger one.

  "She's right, keep up!" Rocco chuckled and followed after his daughter.

  "We can't let them beat us again." Adonis smiled and replicated the knight's movements.

  Landing with a hard thud, Adonis studied the smooth crystal surface of the small island.

  "Kya!"

  Snapping his head backwards, he was shocked to see his companion pathetically falling to her death.

  Moving calmly and swiftly, the boy leapt into the abyss toward the falling mage.

  Mid-air Adonis caught Hiram, continuing to soar toward the lower wall of the first platform, where he placed the soles of his boots on the wall and latched on using Earthly Aura.

  "Even though you're a mage you should still train your body, Hiram." Smiling softly, the magic knight leapt back onto the second island.

  "O-okay..." She said softly.

  Adonis put the mage down and watched the father-daughter pair engage the Pink Rank Monster.

  "DRAWWWLL!!" Having emerged from the smooth crystal surface, the Adamastrum towered over every combatant, its body slightly smaller than a cottage. Made entirely from a dense, clear diamond substance, the monster featured two massive arms and legs that shook the entire platform with each step it took.

  "Shut up." Unintimidated, Roxanne dashed at the monster.

  "That's the spirit!" Rocco chased after his daughter, aiming to assist her in the encounter.

  Showing no signs of fear, the monster swiped its arm, shooting diamond shards at the girl.

  "Slow." Moving swiftly, Roxanne moved out of the attack's path and leapt toward the monster's head.

  After coating her longsword in Earthly Aura, the female magic knight thrust it toward the monster's glistening crystal eyes.

  "What the..." Instead of piercing the hard exterior as she might have hoped, Roxanne's sword merely conceded, snapping on contact.

  Distracting the Adamastrum from his temporarily vulnerable daughter, Rocco punched the monster in the chest.

  "DRAWWL?!" Turning its attention to the knight, the monster unwillingly took two steps backwards.

  "Don't use blades!" Adonis warned.

  "Well, it's a bit too late for that now..." The girl scoffed.

  "Ice magic: Hoar ram!" Acting as support, Hiram utilized a large magic circle to shoot a large cylindrical battering ram at the monster.

  Leaving the Adamastrum no room to react, the massive pillar slammed into the monster's chest forcing it to stagger backwards.

  Capitalizing on the opening created by Hiram, Rocco soared through the air and struck the monster's chin.

  "You owe me a new sword!" Still in the air, Roxanne kicked the monster's ascending face.

  'I feel useless.' Joining the battle, Adonis opened his hands and dashed forward.

  "Inferno Magic: Hellish Eruption!" Adonis ejected a bright mushroom cloud of ivory flames that was strengthened by the magic circle.

  'White flames?' Roxanne landed on the ground and frowned.

  'Inferno magic?' Rocco tilted his head.

  Rather than destroy the target, as usual, the flames merely extinguished themselves pathetically.

  'It's just as I thought.'

  'It's whatever, this was just a distraction.' Adonis enhanced his fist with Earthly Aura and thrust it into the monster's chest.

  Rather than being pushed backwards, a portion of the monster's body yielded, receiving a shallow dent as a result of the focused force.

  Acting as if the spell and punch did no damage at all, the monster swung its fist diagonally.

  'Its body's really strong, but it's as equally slow.' Unbothered by the throbbing in his right hand, Adonis weaved underneath the monster's attack.

  Propelling herself using Water Magic, Roxanne unleashed a devastating Aura-infused axe kick on the monster's head.

  "GRAWLLL!" To counter the girl's blow, the monster jolted its head upwards.

  "She'll be fine." Rocco rocked the monster's jaw with his enhanced fist.

  Irritated by the constant bombardment, the Adamasutra slammed its crystal arm into the knight.

  'It took advantage of my midair vulnerability, was that intelligence or chance?' Despite the overwhelming force in the attack, the knight's body stayed intact and he simply flew backwards.

  "It's really strong." The expert-level knight wiped a trickle of blood from his nose.

  "Yeah, but it's slow." Adonis stood by Rocco's side.

  "We're making no progress." Standing on Rocco's other side, Roxanne shook her head frustratedly.

  "Attack its core, I'll make an opening." Hiram concluded her creation of a massive blunt rod above the monster's head.

  The blunt chisel plummeted onto the monster's head, forcing it to stagger forward and lose its balance.

  Exploiting its lack of balance, the two magic knights and knight approached cautiously.

  "GRAAWWLL!" Still full of life, the Adamastrum fired its fist at the group's leader Rocco.

  Enhancing his arms with Earthly Aura, Rocco defended against the monster's giant fist.

  "I'll keep it like this!" Struggling under the monster's stupendous weight and strength, the knight groaned.

  Giving up on retrieving its right arm, the monster swung its left fist at the male magic knight who was now too close for its liking.

  'So much power.' Adonis dodged the monster's arm and dashed forward, coating his right foot with Earthly Aura.

  'Supreme Devil art, unarmed variation: '

  "Divine Divider!" Having gathered enough Aura, Adonis swung his left leg at the monster's knee, causing it to buckle uncomfortably.

  "Water magic: Marmore falls!" Before the monster could voice its distaste, Roxanne drenched every inch of it in water.

  "Ice magic: Cold cannon!" Assisting the magic knight, Hiram shot a beam of ice at the wet monster.

  Upon contact with the water, Hiram's ice ray instantly froze the entire monster, forming a thick layer of ice around its diamond body.

  Now free to move without consequence, Rocco jumped toward the monstér's chest and channelled Earthly Aura into his fist.

  "AH!" The knight slammed his knuckles into the monster's chest, forcing it onto its back.

  'He's more experienced than he lets on.' Impressed by the knight's use of Earthly Aura Adonis hopped on its chest and channelled more aura into his right hand.

  'Supreme Devil art, unarmed variation:'

  "Assiduous assault!" Adonis thrust his fist into the monster's chest, targeting its pink magic crystal that glowed underneath its crystal exterior and ice shell.

  "Target this dent." Adonis retracted his arm from the large dent.

  'So precise.' The knight admired.

  Following instructions, Hiram summoned a massive drill above the cold monster.

  Adonis leapt towards the giant ice drill and stood on its flat surface.

  The teenage boy unleashed the full extent of his Earthly Aura, using it to strengthen the big chunk of ice.

  "He's a Tier 9?" The knight smiled.

  "Didn't he say he was only a first-year?" Roxanne widened her eyes.

  Satisfied with the drill's shape and newfound enhancement, Hiram commanded it to fall.

  "Ice magic: Baltic Drill!"

  The massive drill destroyed the monster's ice armour and created a deep gash within its seemingly impenetrable diamond body.

  "DRAWWWLL!" Free from the ice prison, the Adamastrum rose to its feet, seemingly hurt by the damage done by the drill.

  Targeting one of the culprits of its pain, the monster heaved its fist at the descended teenage boy.

  "You're done for." Smiling, Adonis pushed off the monster's limb with his hand and manoeuvred toward its underside.

  'Supreme Devil art, unarmed variation:'

  "Assiduous Assault." Adonis thrust his fist into the monster's armpit, forcing its massive arm into the sky.

  "He's all yours." The first-year announced the monster's vulnerability proudly.

  Despite the damage he received from this manoeuvre, the man gripped onto the pink magic crystal and ripped it out ruthlessly.

  Upon losing its core, the monster simply crumbled into a pile of harmless crystals.

  "You two aren't so useless after all." Roxanne summoned a backup longsword from her spatial ring and leapt across the abyss to the next crystal platform.

  "I told you she'd warm up to you." Rocco smiled.

  "Thanks... I gue-" Hiram turned her head confusedly.

  "Hehe." Adonis collected a single diamond shard of what used to be part monster's body, storing it in his spatial ring.

  "We're done here, let's go." Adonis snatched the mage off her feet and jumped to the next small island.

  "Hu-"

  Emerging from the platform's smooth base were more crystal-like creatures.

  Unlike their predecessors, these monsters were considerably smaller than the party members. Their bodies consisted of a magic crystal "head" supported by a broader base of made from a diamond and several crab-like diamond legs. Positioned directly beneath the monster's base was a sizable opening that emanated a chilling energy.
