  Pegasus Hospital, Rehabilitation wing

  Adonis rapped his knuckles on the door three times, patiently waiting for an answer.

  “B-boss!” Opening the door wearily, Randy’s eyes widened at the sight of the teenage magic knight.

  Adonis slowly raised his arm, executing a slow wave as he stared the former addict up and down.

  “Hm?” Randy narrowed his brows.

  ‘The boy gestured with his hand, pointing his thumb behind him.

  ‘Why isn’t he speaking? Is he mad?’ Randy shuddered and followed behind him.

  “Where’re we going?” He asked.

  In response, Adonis softly slammed his fist into his hand.

  “Wait! I’ve been clean, I swear. I haven’t even touched Shed!” Randy screamed, causing all the by standers to stair in their direction.

  Adonis signalled; a soft smirk manifesting on his lips.

  {I always knew you were the sadistic type, kukuku.}

  ‘Teasing him is just too much fun.’ Adonis chuckled, his damaged voice box causing his voice to sound raspier.

  ‘Did he just laugh?! I’m screwed!’ Randy’s eyes darted around the corridor, trying to find a way to escape his fate at the hands of the teenage Damon.

  After leaving Randy in suspense for several minutes; the two arrived outside a small room in the training ward- a private gravity room Adonis had rented out for a few hours.

  , the boy pointed at the door; signalling for the reforming addict to enter.

  ‘Oh, so we’re just going to train?’ Randy let out a relieved sigh as he entered the room.

  Feeling his body ger increasingly heavier under the overwhelming gravitational force Randy frowned.

  “Wha-”

  Before he could understand the magic knight’s intentions; Adonis was already before him hurling a flying kick at his unsuspecting head.

  ‘He’s still so fast under these conditions!’ Staggering backwards, Randy widened his eyes while barely evading the boy’s onslaught.

  “A-are we sparring, boss?” Randy took a step backwards.

  Adonis smirked confidently and gestured for the man to attack him.

  ‘Maybe I can kill him accidentally, and finally escape from here… Even if he is healthier than me, I have the upper hand in all physical aspects.’ Randy grinned sinisterly.

  {I don’t like that look on his face.} The Devil God commented.

  ‘Neither do I.’ Adonis shook his head.

  ‘Ler’s just test how useful he can be in the long run.’

  Randy raised remaining arm, initiating his formal stance; trying to protect all his vitals with his limited appendages.

  ‘As I thought, his fighting stance is sloppy. It wasn’t just the effect of the Shed.’ Adonis criticized, waiting for him to attack.

  {It’s clear he hasn’t had any formal training, he didn’t attend an academy.} Eos elaborated.

  ‘Skill is something we can improve over time.’ Adonis shuffled forward, flingling his lead leg at his opponent’s inner thigh.

  {Attacking his legs because you feel guilty that he only has one arm? How soft.} The Devil God scoffed.

  ‘A leg kick?’ Randy pulled his leg backwards, evading the boy’s attack before flinging his arm at Adonis’s chin.

  ‘I’m the one who took his arm.’ He replied sourly.

  This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

  Accurately anticipating the attract’s trajectory, Adonis moved out of the way and twisted his body, gripping the disabled magic knight’s arm and throwing him onto the ground.

  “Wha”

  Aided by the increased gravity, Randy plummeted to the ground at double the speed, slamming into the ground with a loud thud.

  ‘How…’

  “How’d I end up on the ground?” Randy muttered.

  Silently grinning at magic knight, Adonis took a few steps backwards; waiting for the man to get back to his feet.

  ,’ he gestured once more.

  ‘How is he able to beat me? He’s a Tier 9 and I’m the equivalent of a Tier 8… I should outclass him in everything, even with one arm.’ Performing an agile kip up, Randy landed on his feet; confused on why he wasn’t easily over powering the young magic knight.

  “Something isn’t right.” Randy lowered his center of gravity, tightening the muscles in his legs.

  ‘He’s going for my legs’ Adonis sharpened his silver eyes, studying the knight’s movements intently.

  Breaking the sound barrier, Randy surged forward with his leg extended toward the boy’s vulnerable shins.

  Moving just before the man was before him, Adonis swiftly jumped up; bringing his legs towards his chest to narrowly evade the attack.

  ‘A Tier 9 shouldn’t be able to dodge that attack in this enviornment.’ Randy frowned and quickly got to his feet, hurling his fist at the boy’s back while he was still middair.

  ‘His lack of formal training makes him predictable.’ The boy smirked and twisted his body middair, blocking the knight’s powerful attack and sending him flying through the air.

  ‘His mobility will be limited while he’s middair, no matter how talented he is… I’ll get him now!’ Practically vanishing from where he stood, Randy appeared above the magic knight; swinging his remaining arm to slam him into the ground.

  ‘Although my speed has been cut in half, it doesn’t mean I can’t mentally react to mach 2 attacks; I think he’s forgetting that.’ Adonis sighed disappointedly, re orientating himself middair; preparing to counter the magic knight’s attacks.

  Acting swiftly, Adonis flipped himself upside down and gripped the bottom of Randy’s tunic and used his left leg to temporarily clash with the knight’s fist.

  Before he was inevitably overwhelmed by the knight’s superior strength, Adonis slammed his right foot into Randy’s stomach.

  “Argh!”

  ‘What the hell!’ Saving himself from a hard fall, Randy landed on the ground softly; rubbing his stomach softly.

  {I think you should just get rid of him, he’s useless.}

  Landing safely opposite the knight, Adonis ignored the Devil God and smirked at the knight.

  “I get it now!” Randy pointed at the teenage boy.

  “You’re moving just before I do! That’s how you’re able to counter my attacks.”

  {Wow, he finally caught on.} The Devil God said sarcastically.

  ‘He’s never had any form of formal training , so he doesn’t know about Forecast’ Adonis smiled brightly and gave his sparring opponent a thumbs up.

  ‘It’s very useful against faster opponents, it should be the key in me mastering Kagami.’ Adonis noted.

  “So all I have to do is move before you can predict my movements.” Randy smiled, exerting the full extent of his Earthly Aura.

  {What a dumbass.}

  ‘Can you blame him…He never had anyone to teach him, I’m impressed he’s gotten this strong.’ Following Randy’s lead, Adonis enhanced his body with all the Earthly Aura he could manage.

  ‘His Aura is so thick and controlled.’ Randy marvelled.

  Initiating the encounter once more, Randy darted at the boy at full speed.

  Recognizing that if Randy built up too much momentum he’d become a threat, Adonis threw a sharp right hook at the man’s head.

  Lowering his head to evade the attack, Randy propelled his enhanced fist at Adonis’s open chin.

  “I’VE GOTCHU!” Randy grinned, putting all his strength into the attack.

  ‘Supreme Devil Arts… Stage two:’

  ‘Is he trying to get himself killed?’ Noticing the boy’s Aura cloak suddenly dissappeared, Randy frowned.

  ‘Kagami.’ Right when Randy’s fist came in contact with his chin, Adonis focused his Earthly Aura into that spot.

  ‘Reflect.’

  “?!” Rather than transferring the force of his attack into the teenager’s head, all of the attack’s weight was transferred back into his own fist; causing a sharp pain to revereberate through his arm

  ‘What the hell is that!’ Randy fell to his knees, gripping his remaining arm in pain.

  ‘What the hell is this!’ Adonis’s eyes widened as he was suddenly filled with a warm euphoric feeling that travelled throughout his entire body.

  {Kukuku. Feels good doesn’t it?}

  The next day 11:02PM

  Hiding behind a large row of bushes, Adonis and Randy intently stared at the distant warehouse before them.

  “Are you really sure about this? I doubt we’ll be able to beat the ‘Dobers’ it’ll be even worse if the ‘Weiler’ is here today.” Randy frowned.

  ‘There are five Dobers…’ Adonis studied the armed men who surrounded the large warehouse.

  {Tier 8, Low Rank.} Eos identified.

  ‘I’d have to take them on one by one, even then that’d be a tall task.’ Adonis shook his head.

  “Where’s Dan? Do you think he snitched on us?” Randy bit his nails nervously.

  {What a coward.} The Devil God scoffed.

  ‘He was even worse when he met Hiram.’ Adonis chuckled.

  ‘I could make a run for it, but if that scary ice lady finds out Iditched the kid I’m done for.’ Randy shuddered, Hiram’s threats replaying vividly in his head.

  “Are you sure we’re at the right ba-”

  {Oizys.}

  ‘Got it!’ Interrupting Randy’s appeal was a large fist darting at the teenage magic knight’s face.

  Defending himself against the ambush; Adonis raised the shield in his left arm, saving himself from death but sending him flying hundreds of meters away from where he’d crouched.

  ‘He really packs a punch.’ Adonis coughed, his left arm throbbing wildly.
