Volume 8. Chapter: 13 Stopped Once More. (Chapter 714.)

  Chapter: 13 Stopped Once More.

As this escort was merely an emergency thing, neither Lem nor Carma had brought any food with them. As such, the two were contemplating how to ask for the Tin’s apples.

But, before they could even muster up the (hiding away their pride) courage, Celia had presented them with wondrous meals from out of her storage ring. This, of course, shocked the princess and her dear maid.

Being able to keep food so unspoiled, with the hot meals still being the perfect temperature, tells them that the storage ring Midas gave Celia… was of the highest quality and rarity. From Celia’s generosity, neither of them starved during the six-day trip, almost reaching the capital city in comfort and ease.

Tin: “Shit!” He loudly exclaimed, the carriage abruptly stopping.

Typically, in his old age, Tin was calm, and rarely ever swore. Anxiously opening up the window, Celia saw a gruesome sight. The horse driving the carriage was… cut in half, and Tin was barely holding on, a large gash almost rendering him in two.

Celia: “Tin, drink this!” She quickly yelled, pouring a Healing Potion down Tin’s throat through the window.

  Tin: “…”

The old man fully expected to die, the wound being something that should have taken his life within seconds. Instead, after gulping down the Potion with some struggle, he was instantly healed. Besides the blood loss, Tin is okay now.

Carma: “We were followed… Mr. Tin, just run away, you aren’t their target.” She sternly ordered.

Looking through the window, Tin felt remorse and a deep sense of being useless. Without any horse to drive the carriage, this was doubly so. Swallowing the pride from making it to such an old age, Tin quickly ran away, glancing back at the now immobile carriage many times, vanishing into the forest.

Lem: “Lady Celia, you should run as well.” She proposed, somewhat sternly, but mostly in a caring manner.

Carma: “Yes, Celia. This opponent… is far beyond your strength at the moment.” She seriously added.

Celia: “Too late for that.” She shrugged, before pushing the two back into their seats.

  Lem And Carma: “(~OAO)”

The princess in her maid, confused as to why Celia just pushed them, both were about to inquire for her reasoning. But, before they could speak, with Celia not getting away in time, the carriage split in two.

Carma: “Celia!” She yelled in shock, worry deep on her beautiful face.

Celia: “I’m fine, nothing a little Potion can’t fix.” She replied with a forced smile, holding her new stumps.

About to take another Potion out of storage, conflicted on how, with her now being handless, she could drink one, Celia stopped in her tracks, as her severed hands soon recovered, regenerating completely, not even leaving pain, let alone a scar.

Celia: “Oh, I think Midas mentioned my clothes being enchanted…” She said with an embarrassed tone, feeling like a fool for acting so self-sacrificing, even though she had the means to survive this wound.

Celia didn’t have her memories, her soul being cleansed. But, even without those recollections, Celia’s body remembered how to fight, and her second sense told her to save Carma and Lem straight away. Celia was happy, but the two weren’t beyond upset at this sight…
