Volume 8. Chapter 15: Surprising Herm. (Chapter 716.)

  Chapter 15: Surprising Herm.

  Herm: “…”

  Celia: “???”

While Lem and Carma were shellshocked, unable to process the situation and spur themselves to save Celia, it was all pointless. Why?

  Tin: “(O.o)”

Because the young woman easily avoided Herm’s attack, just confusedly looking at him in response. A mile away, Tin witnessed a large Magic slash brush past him, which he barely, and accidentally dodged. But, back to the main situation…

Herm: “You… dodged my attack?” He asked, disbelief on his face.

Being the sole heir of an empire, Herm had many privileges. One of them being his ability to easily get Levels, gaining power.

While Carma’s Level was in the 200s, Herm was Level 375. To get a Higher Level… would require him to venture out to dangerous places and kill powerful monsters. Though, with his current Level, it let him be as lazy as he wished, ignoring any mention of Leveling up from his family or supporters.

Celia: “Why even attack Carma?” She asked with no fear.

Herm: “She won’t marry me, so, I, of course, must kill her for this insult. As a prince to an empire, it is my right and duty to ensure my reputation recovers from this slight.” He answered with a scoff.

Regardless of Celia being able to survive the attack, Herm was only momentarily stunned. Simply put, Celia could avoid one attack, but about him actually trying to fight her?…

Herm: “Little girl, I’ll deal with you later.” He threatened.

Carma: “Celia, run away now!” She exclaimed with great seriousness.

Herm: “Even if she gets to your kingdom’s capital, what does it matter? I can just teleport her away to a deserted area, like I did with you and your maid earlier.” He interjected, brandishing his sword at the princess.

There was no one in that city capable of stopping Herm, but he couldn’t kill the princess there. If he did, then Herm would be known as a rabid beast, who killed Carma, a royal princess, in her own castle. Killing her in the wilderness… well, Carma’s father would have to fruitlessly attempt to prove that he was the murderer.

Carma: “Your abrupt teleportation, and ambush… caused us to be simple prey. But, this time around, can you really achieve the same outcome?” She said with a raised eyebrow, holding onto her sword tightly.

Herm: “Heh, those worthless helpers of mine… Perhaps, now, you can truly give me a challenge, or at least allow me to try in a fight for once.” He replied with a haughty laugh.

From an early age, Herm was pampered and coddled. Even when planning on killing a royal, he let his subordinates handle it. In the end, Carma and Lem managed to kill them all, injured, but alive. But then the prince when in for the kill, and that was what caused their states to be so horrid when they met Celia.

Celia: “…” “I know that I am supposed to run… but that asshole said it was pointless. Though, I feel like a completely unneeded accessory right now…” She thought with a groan, pouting in her mind.
