  Chapter 18: Interrupting It All...

Celia didn’t fully trust Ruina’s plan, but Herm had already promised to kill her sometime later. As such, the young woman knew that she had no choice but to at least try out her System Helper’s grand idea. She just had to wait patiently for a decent, or hopefully, perfect time to strike…

Carma: “Prince Herm, have you not… brutalized us enough?!” She yelled, spitting up blood.

Lem: “Does this not go against your honor as a Prince as well?” She drowsily added, feeling sleepy from all the blood loss.

Herm: “Pah! My reputation is clean and proper. Once you three are dead, then no one can hope to soil it at all.” He replied with a gloating tone.

After stopping the carriage, Herm wasn’t aware that Celia helped Tin survive. Of course, Tin was just an elderly, almost retired, carriage driver. Even if he saw Herm attacking Carma and the others, the old man wouldn’t know who said person was…

Carma: “Killing a princess… is a sin and stain that will forever forcibly be carried by you, Prince Herm!” She exclaimed, her sword hilt gripped tight, as the princess went in for another pointless attack.

Lem: “The King will not take this slight lightly, nor will he let his daughter’s murder be forgotten!” She added, attacking in tandem with her charge.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Herm: “Worthless drivel… Especially when such spattings are coming from people who will be deceased by my hands soon.” He replied, blocking their attacks effortlessly, gifting them more injuries with his sword in return.

Herm’s didn’t intend on purely killing the princess right away. Rather, he also wished to humiliate her as much as he could, have the proud woman beg to be spared, before then finally committing the murder.

Lem and Carma… their full focus was on fighting off the prince, trying to survive for longer. They were, at most, six hours away from their capital city. So they had hoped that, if they struggled all they could, someone powerful would come and save them.

Carma’s father was one such person, being in the late 300s, close to Herm’s Level. From all this, no one paid attention to Celia.

Ruina: “Celia, do it now!” She sternly urged.

To Herm, Celia was a harmless child, and to the princess, she was someone whom Carma wished to live through this event. In fact, the princess and Lem both assumed that Celia had already run away earlier.

  Slice!

She slowly crept into the battle from the side, out of their sightlines, the fighters not aware of her presence. And, at the most opportune time… Celia leaped onto Herm’s back… before then slitting the man’s throat.

Herm: “W-what…” Were his gurgly words, as blood quickly clogged up his throat.

  Carma: “…”

  Lem: “…”

  Stab!

Even with his throat gushing out blood, Herm still had a lot of HP left, hovering in the 10,000s. Not letting this chance that Celia gave them slip away, Lem and Carma soon stabbed their swords through Herm. The princess’s sword accurately pierced his heart, while Lem’s did the same to the prince’s silly brain. And then… the fight was over.
