Volume 8. Chapter 20: Checking Out Her Status! (Chapter 721.)

Chapter 20: Checking Out Her Status!

Opening her eyes, Celia saw that she was now in a regal, comfy bed. The room was also pretty expensive looking, so Celia just assumed that Carma had placed her into a room in the castle.

Celia: “Now that we’re safe… I guess that I should check my Status, huh? I do feel far more powerful…” She suggested in a tone greatly tinged with excitement, sitting up on the bed.

Ruina: “Please do! Ah, Celia, since you only just gave Herm a major injury, the Exp was shared between you and the other two.” She informed.

Celia: “Oh… Status.” She said with a slightly disappointed tone, still in her mind.

  :Status:

  Name: Celia.

  Sex: Female.

  Race: Human.

  Age: 14.

  HP: 3,000/3,000.

  MP: 1,500/1,500.

  AGI: 328.

  STR: 187.

  DEX: 101.

  INT: 264.

  Hunger: 95/325.

  True Level: 92.

  Race Level: 92/1,000.

  Current EXP: 999/1,000.

In one fell swoop, Celia almost made it to Level 100… But, this was more of just confusing to the girl. Killing someone of such a high Level… especially when compared to a Level 1, should have given Celia a lot of Levels up, right? Celia asked about this to her System Helper.

Ruina: “That was a loophole for a long while, but it was fixed.” She answered.

Celia: “Fixed?” She repeated, not understanding.

Ruina: “There was a cap added to how much Exp one person can get, which depends on their Level. Since you were Level 1, the cap was quite low…” She explained with a groan.

Celia: “So… that’s why I am barely Level 100? That doesn’t seem fair…” She pouted.

Ruina: “What you did was a fluke, Celia. With your Level, you shouldn’t have been able to kill Herm.” She added with a stern tone, hoping to scold Celia into not doing further crazy things in the future.

  Celia: “…”

In reality, the cap was added because of what Celia had done in her past life. Runey was honestly shocked that it wasn’t a default in every System before that, considering how easily Celia’s group was able to exploit it.

Ruina: “Don’t think about letting higher Level beings help you kill high Level monsters, Celia. If something is completely out of your Level to kill, you won’t even get Exp for it, let alone deal with the Exp cap.” She also added, making sure to close any gaps in Celia’s silliness.

Celia: “Wait… so I was lucky that Herm wasn’t any Level higher than he was?” She replied with an unsure thinking pose.

Ruina: “Correct. Again, this was pure luck. If his DEX Stat was actually properly trained, then you wouldn’t have been able to harm him in the least.” She answered seriously. “I have to tell those two about this…” She secretly thought.

Celia: “Well… at least I got a lot of Levels for barely even harming him, in the end.” She said with a shrug, soon becoming happy.

Ruina: “Celia, it is still night out. Just sleep longer. I have to go offline for a bit, since I need to do some maintenance.” She warmly suggested.

With a yawn, Celia didn’t even verbally agree before soon falling asleep once more. Making sure that her troublesome mother was truly unconscious, Ruina then went to spill the beans to important, powerful people…
