Chapter 65: The New Movie Premiere

Sam was the child of a southern he son of a t. He was supposed to live a carefree life, but Sam was different. He disliked the endless formalities of the nobility and hated the idea of a zy, purposeless life.

When he was young, he had hoped to have magical talent and bee a mage, but it turned out he cked the gift.

As the eldest son, he couldn't leave the family estate to join the military.

The only optio seemed to be being an adventurer.

However, even this was something his father refused to accept, sidering it a lowly pursuit.

He hoped Sam would i the title of t instead.

But Sam didn’t give up. On his sixteenth birthday, he secretly took a sword from one of the guards a home in pursuit of a more exg life.

He made his way to the Adventurer's Guild, where anyone could register to bee an adventurer. He successfully joined and began his journey.

His first partner was Joseph, who had also bee an adveer in life after w in a theater.

The two shared simir goals, and after bonding over their dreams, they became partners on the road of adventure—or at least, that’s how it should have gone...

"Ugh, I’m so bored! Why haven’t we gotten any missions tely? All the monster hunts are so far away, like in Tanzan Town. We’d spend more on travel than we’d earn from the rewards..." Sam pined.

Joseph, already used to this life, shrugged and said, "That’s normal. The Southerory is the safest part of the empire. For newbies like us, this is a great pce to train. You ’t expect to go fight trolls when you haven't even mastered swordsmanship. Didn’t the master at the sword school say you have great potential to reach the third rank within a year? I’d love to have your talent."

"Tch, what’s the point of reag the third rank if there are no missions? Maybe we should save up and bee adventurers in another part of the empire. What about the North? I’ve heard it’s full of dangerous monsters!"

Before Joseph could respond, a otion arose in the Adventurer’s Guild.

"Hey, there’s a huge crowd heading to the Nosrick ema! Is there a going on?" someone shouted.

"Damn! I just remembered—a new movie is premiering today!" another person excimed.

"A new movie?! Oh, crap! They ged the posters at the ema this m!"

"Hurry up! Do you think we still get tickets?!"

In an instant, the entire guild erupted into chaos, resembling the bustling mess of a school cafeteria at lunchtime.

Sam, still fused about the excitement, found himself dragged outside by Joseph.

"Huh? Is there a boss monster or something?" Sam asked, bewildered.

Realizing his partner had never seen a movie, Joseph expihe cept while they ran toward the Nosrick ema. The result?

"Tch, I thought it was something important. It’s just a py, right? I’ve seen way too many of those already, and I’m bored of them. You oners love making a big deal out of nothing..." Sam said dismissively.

Joseph, unfazed by Sam’s attitude, fidently replied, "I knew you’d say that. Don’t worry, movies are nothing like those dull stage pys. You’ll uand once you see it. I promise you won’t be disappointed!"

Soon, they arrived at the ema. Sam was immediately overwhelmed by the sea of people outside, a sight he had never seen before.

Shocked, he muttered, "Wait... all these people are here for that... ‘movie’? This is insane."

Though annoyed by Sam's disdainful tone, Joseph held back his frustration.

He used his old es at the Nosrick Theater to secure two tickets and dragged Sam inside, ign any protests.

As they made their way into the ema, Joseph noticed that the posters for KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World had been repced by new ones featuring a movie called Goblin Syer.

The image showed a heavily armored warrior wielding a longsword, emerging from a dark cave.

The poster immediately captured Joseph’s attention, while Sam, now curious, asked, "Hey, what’s this? It looks iing."

"Uh, I’m not sure what this one’s about. Goblin Syer, huh? Sounds a bit... strange, but I’m sure it’ll be good."

"Alright, alright. If you say it’s good, I’ll take your word for it. But remember to think about where we’re goi after this! I still think we should head to the North! Just imagine being adventurers in a pce full of monsters. Doesn’t that get your blood pumping?"

Ign Sam’s stant chatter, Joseph found their seats and sat down.

As the theater filled up, the air buzzed with excited murmurs.

"I heard this one is way darker than KonoSuba," one adventurer said. "Apparently, a lot of girls at the premiere got so scared they couldn’t ha."

"Hah! You said it was girls who got scared, right? e on, we’re seasoned adventurers. We won’t get scared by a mere movie!" another responded.

"Sure, whatever you say. You’ve never even fought a real monster before. If you start g, don’t expect me to help."

  "Bah, we’ll see about that!"

Listening to the adventurers' versation, Sam rolled his eyes in disdain.

He, too, thought a mere movie could never scare him.

In fact, he didn’t care about movies at all.

Joseph just smiled and shook his head, knowing that many first-timers had the same rea.

Soon, the lights dimmed, and as the movie began, the once-boisterous theater fell silent, with everyone glued to the s.

As the characters appeared on the s, Sam, watg his very first movie, gasped in shock.

  "Wait... isn’t that... Lady Daphne?!"
