Amen tilts his head as he looks into the Madjay's horrible face.
No display still.
Red blinking.
Blink.
Blink.
Blink.
"I know of one of your finer feats. One many don’t know. It’s a secret really. A legend."
"Poke the beast with a stick and let's get this over with," Amen bluffs, tugging at his ropes still.
The Archer does not notice, but seems intent on telling his proposition.
"I know you broke into the Great Pyramid. I know you were in Khufu’s Pyramid. And I know you broke into the hidden chamber."
Amen chuckles.
He looks Bomani in the eyes but says nothing.
"You are going to take me there, thief," Bomani whispers.
"I'm not."
"Then you die."
"Dead either way."
"Your friends are dead too. Your woman might become mine if she cooperates."

Amen bites his tongue and tries to keep his rage and blushing down.
He shrugs.
"They escaped you fool. Halfway down the Nile by now."
Bomani frowns.
"Tell me. What is in there?" His eyes go mad.
The rumble from the beast starts again.
"A little bit of this and that."
"Don't be coy. Tell me."
"You wouldn't survive the trip, Madjay," Amen pokes.
"I would! I would! I could!" The Madjay pleads.
Bomani almost gets on his knees. "What secrets are there, thief? What treasures? Are the gods themselves? Do they reside there?"
"Do I seemed changed by what I supposedly saw?" Amen offers.
"I think you gave up everything after you went," Bomani goes back into his terrorist like mode.
"Perhaps. But what I saw, you never will."
Bomani yells and turns to strike, but the beast roars. He stops in his tracks, and looks towards his exit.
Amen is almost out of his ropes.
"Must be hungry," Bomani says.
"Lamb would be nice," Amen jokes.
"Not you."
Suddenly, screaming and emotion. The sound of weapons and crude alarms.
A priest runs forward.
"Madjay. We are under attack!"
"What?!" Bomani yells.
"A small army!"
Bomani runs out of the animal enclosure.
Amen is inches from the rope, but then the shadows finally move and break before him.
The beast comes forward.
