In a land where magic flows through all living things, former legendary wizard-hero Alaric wanders the streets and notices magic failing more often, including simple spells going awry. Concerned about the ominous fading of talents, he discovers an ancient prophecy in old archives seemingly warning magic will be "devoured by soulless constructs".
