Before the Great Lakes were pathways to the new world, a young girl named Ziibi walked the earth with Mikwam. No one could see this wolf but her. Even though she was too young to choose the one who would be by her side, she knew Ajijak would grow old with her. The only threat to her future was her older sister, Miinan.
